Jacobs frowned at the sight of his dead student, he snuck a glance at the company leader and spotted a smirk flash past his face. The guild master just ducked under the blade trap and saw the dead student then chuckled to himself, earning himself a glare from the archmage.

After asking his student how this happened he swore at the man's arrogance before sending a similar spell down the hallway with a wave of his sleeve, several traps that had yet to activate exploded into action, sending objects flying everywhere, a strange wire mesh fell from a hole that opened in the ceiling.

All the leaders stood there dumbfounded that so many traps did not activate, suddenly Jacobs realized that the pressure plates did not activate the first time because they had to be pushed twice to activate, not because his students force magic wasn't strong enough, he thought "there is no way to be sure of how many actions would activate the traps and I have no intention of using all my mana to test them either.

Jacobs casted a short spell, green waves of energy surrounded him forming a cloud then he started to rise into the air, the others watched him float over all the potential danger with stunned faces, then the company angrily yelled: "Are you going to fly my soldiers over too... you said you would help!", Jacobs loftily replied, "I did help, my students and I activated several traps" while gesturing to all the objects now lying on the ground, then continued "besides I showed you the way to avoid the traps" then burst into laughter.

The company leader watched him fly past the traps while grinding his teeth, thinking "only you can fly you pompous ass", then the student and guild leader made their moves, the student gathered winds underneath him and flew across to the end of the hall, although it was could not be called flying because it looked like he threw himself more than anything.

The guild master took a ball out of his robes and rolled it across the hallway leaving behind a black line on the ground as it went, when it reached the end the guild leaders body dissolved into his own shadow and moments later recreated itself above the ball on the other side.

Now by himself, the company leader had to order all the soldiers to manually check the ground with spears and he made sure to have them check at least 3 times before attempting a plate. Progress was slow even with plenty of troops available to test the plates but, it was relatively safe in comparison to just taking a walk of faith, something he considered more than once when looking at the resting mages on the other side.

Lucifer observed them play around in his dungeon and imagined them being squishier over and over again in his head, he made a mental note to add several hundred steel wire across the hallway after the archmage just floated above it, then tens of thousands after the student rocketed past it with only inches from losing his legs.

He watched the soldiers slowly make it to the other side, only a few died from activating a trap and got impaled on wall spikes, one unlucky soul had barbed wire drop on top of his head, he struggled to get it off him for nearly 30 seconds before he realised that struggling was only cutting him up worse, it took nearly 10 minutes to free him from the entanglement which uplifted Lucifers spirits and irritated the company leader.

Another man stepped into a leg trap but his armor blocked the spike at the bottom and he was not moving fast enough to hyperextend his knee into the opposite direction to Lucifers displeasure. Finally, the walls on the side opened from a pressure plate activation, sadly the soldiers made short work of the jade skeletons, however when the floor near the portal dropped away it took several of the last surviving mages into a pit of spikes, the sudden shock on the spikes woke up a colony of insects that made their nest in the darkness of the pit trap.

The company leader heard curses then small explosions as the last surviving mage attempted to push back the wave of insects with gouts of flame, the corpses on the spikes already turned into skeletons by the time the mage started casting, terrifying the man, so much so his spells were unstable and he burned himself several times.

The company leader looked to Jacobs for help and saw his indifferent attitude, he roared with fury and charged forward to the end of the hallway, soldiers quickly followed suit and the smarter ones copied the leader's footsteps.

The leader saw a wire strung at head height several steps ahead with his mana infused eyes, furious of this dungeon he cut through it as he passed, a moment after the wire was cut a click was heard then the floor several meters in front and behind the wire fell away revealing another spike pit, the leader, and those following closely had already made it to the other side by sheer speed.

Lucifer looked on dumbfounded, he made another mental note to change most of the traps to the activates on the 3rd or 4th attempt kind after he watched the leader and roughly a dozen men make it to the other side.

Several men who were close behind the leader weren't fast enough and fell down the pit, they died the moment they were impaled and the unlucky ones were alive just long enough to be eaten by the insects.

Now cut off from the leaders the remaining men tried to defend their island of ground from the wave of insects coming from both sides, they changed the attribute of their mana to fire and attacked the incoming insects as they climbed up the pit walls, they were able to hold them back for several minutes but, once the insects started to climb onto the roof and drop from above they started losing ground quickly, soon the mage holding off one side by himself found his back up against the soldiers defending the other side, his mana was almost depleted and the antidote only helped for the first few bug bites he received, he felt his body weakening and in a last ditch effort to survive he looked behind him and yelled for help from the leaders and Archmage, only to find that they had already moved on.

The leaders along with a dozen soldiers heard screams behind them as they walked into a new area, this place did not look like the previous one, the walls were rounded and looked as if they were made by monsters rather than a dungeon, they could see claw marks were rock was taken away all over the walls, they found several branches in the cave wall, Jacob thought "this seems like a giant ants nest?"
