Lucifer chuckled to himself as he watched the terror filled faces of the intruders when the door suddenly animated itself, suddenly the strongest mage sent a bolt of lightning cutting off Lucifers laughter, instead, it was replaced with a burning fury when he identified Luck's corpse.

She was not even a combatant all she did was play a little prank... and maybe cause a few maulings Lucifer thought to himself. he could not deny that he was fond of the little trickster despite her shenanigans and even though he could revive her because she was a boss, he disliked seeing her die.

Now Lucifer had lost the mood to watch them attempt the door "puzzle" so he left in search of Selenia.

It did not take long for Lucifer to catch up to her with his dungeon sense, he found her standing amongst a group of corpse's of Soldiers, Lucifer thought "aren't there too many cuts on these bodies?"

Selenia noticed his presence then said irritably "here to scold me like a child again", the sarcasm did not escape Lucifers notice causing him to frown slightly.

"No, I'm here to give new orders t--"

"I'm already killing your intruders what more do y--" she cut it in

Lucifer started to get angry and interrupted her "Lucky is dead", Selenia had everything she wanted to say get stuck in her throat as tears welled up in her eyes, she softly asked "can't you bring her back, she's a boss right, bosses die all the time in dunge--"

Lucifer cut into her rambling "yes and no, I can revive her" Selenias eyes lit up before immediately losing the light out of them from lucifers next words "but, I don't know whether she will be the same person or simply a copy of Lucky"

Selenia thought for a moment then said "don't you resurrect the boar boss all the time, I'm quite sure the mercenary band that came here earlier ate that boar every couple days"

Lucifer stated "That is true however the armored boar is not intelligent, so I don't know if it's the same personality every time I bring it back"

Lucifer knew that Selenia and Lucky got along very well during their free time, at first they didn't like each other, Lucky dislike her because she was in the dungeon even though she was not created by me, and Selenia grew frustrated at the pranks Lucky pulled on her.

After one such prank, Selenia retaliated by carving a small idol of Lucky with a really large head then showed Lucky and said "look at this fat head" causing Lucifer to laugh hysterically at the childishness of the statement, he could not believe how silly her insult was, however, Lucky seemed to love the little carving and bounced around like a rubber pellet shot out of a cannon in excitement. Later they became friends in such an absurd way and even Selenia admitted that the little statue was kinda cute.

After reminiscing Lucifer saw a familiar fire of vengeance alight in Selena's eyes, so he quickly said "go to the ant's plant farm and climb the biggest tree, there is a hatch on the top of the trunk that leads to the surface, I've checked outside and it's the only way out that's not blocked"

Selenia looked confused for a moment then protested "there are still enemies here--"

but Lucifer cut her off "go its an order... do I make myself clear" causing Salenia to close her mouth. He thought to himself "even if you are here it won't make much difference with 1 person anyway, besides with a little firecracker like you running around you will probably cause more soldiers deaths over the long run than you can here" causing him to smile slightly.

Selenia looked like she still had something to say but turned and started to leave after some hesitation, Lucifer said "you are free from your soul binding now, live long and prosper" before flying away before she could reply.

She left the dungeon with a heavy heart, after she opened the secret hatch she quickly ran down the mountain and soon disappeared into the forest below.

Meanwhile back at the door, Lucifer observed the situation, they seemed to have just finished killing the bugs on the doors and figured out the correct orientation of the door.

Out of nowhere several Kittens appeared and awkwardly walked to Lucky's body, they had small flowers creating a wreath on their heads, several soldiers looked at each other with greed written all over their faces, they quickly picked up the kittens and started making their way over to their superiours.

The kittens put up a struggle in a futile attempt to escape, they were presented to the captains to see what rewards they could claim for baby Panthers, that could one day grow up to be fierce battle companions or a powerful mount.

After glancing at the kittens a captain asked them to be checked by the mages and clerics for possible diseases, when the two soldiers arrived with a cute kitten in each arm the female clerics and mages split off from the others and started to play with the kittens, squealing in delight when the little creatures tried to paw off their affectionate petting.

All the male mages and clerics only rolled their eyes and ignored their antics, while being slightly jealous of the cats as they wished they could receive such attention. One of the girls remarked "these little ones have huge quantities of mana in them for their age, they will grow up to be powerful magical beasts", another spoke "I wonder who owns these cuties they are so lucky, they even have little floral reefs on their heads... so cute"

When one of the men heard that he looked confused when he thought about where he heard they came from and started to make his way over to the women, but before he made it there suddenly the kittens started to grew right before everyone's eyes, one moment they were in the hands of the girls and the next they had already grown to the size of horses, causing screams to erupt as they began to attack.

The Warriors tried to push through and the mages could not get a clear shot because the enemy was in the middle of all the mages and clerics. The now fully grown Panthers roared in apparent glee as they tore through the unarmored magic users, they seemed to specifically target those who pulled on their ears and paws earlier.

The Soldiers managed to push through and attack the Panthers after most of the clerics were already dead, but they found their spears could stab the beats but they did not care, a small amount of green fluid would come out of the wound then stop bleeding altogether, the soldiers started to get torn apart once they realised their weapons were useless.

Fangs and claws met metal as the 4 beasts tore apart everything that got close enough to sink their teeth into, however, the mages finally found a clear shot after the cats cleared enough area.

Gouts of flame hit the beasts and they seemed to wither from the flames, soon they were all dead but not before taking a few more mages with them for good measure.

After they were killed a mage walked up to the corpse to try and figure out why it was so hard to kill, to his surprise he found the body to be hollow inside, the shell was made of woven vines and other plants, even its fur seemed like some kind of modified thin leaf that imitated hair.

Meanwhile, the company leader finally made it here and surveyed the scene, soon two soldiers found their heads on pikes after the leader's explosive anger.

The company leader said to himself "this mission is already off to a terrible start, the newbies were useless, and we already suffered large casualties from the sudden animal attack, now most of our healers and mages are dead and the real battle hasn't even started yet.

If he knew of what was to come he would have kept his mouth shut thought Lucifer.
