Captured, her thoughts erratic desperately trying to think of a way to escape her predicament, they get closer. The rogue seems like he wants to eat her alive for the loss of his favored bow. unable to do anything she surrenders thinking its unwise to get their guard any higher right now. After seeing her surrender her party eased up somewhat, The tank ordered the rogue to get the ropes used for tying baggage after explaining that the wolf pelts weren't worth as much as her and were not worth their time lugging it up a mountain the rogue went to work finding a strong rope. She looked so pitiful and defeated the mage just couldn't stand it and went to her to apologize and explain his actions, she saw her chance as soon as he got close she jumped up and wrapped her thighs around his face sitting on his shoulders. Before the tank could react she arched her back and using her weight and legs flipped them over onto their backs then kicking off with what little strength she had with the leg not locking together onto the other, twisted her body like a constrictor snap!. With the mages low strength coupled with his surprise, he was easily killed by this A rank adventurer. Even with her hands behind her back, she was still deadly, she was then violently grabbed and thrown over to the tents while the tank checked on their companion.
The next day when she awoke battered and bruised thanks to the rogue's anger at having his friend killed, she was beaten so badly she could not walk. So now she was carried between the two men tied on a pole like some swine ready to be roasted.
Carrying their luggage along with the woman up the mountain quickly took its toll on the two of them especially the tank wearing such heavy armor. During the break, she tried to slip her ropes several times only to be beaten every time she tried and the ropes retied even tighter. When they resumed travel she continued to scheme ways to escape and thought to herself "I've already killed the mage so they can't have any tracking spells on me, they have beaten me and poisoned me frequently to keep my strength down, but my bindings are close to breaking. Every time I loosen them and the bastard starts his work I use the time to use the backup dagger in my shirt to cut a few ropes, Then when he tightens them like the sadistic pervert he is I make sure to have the frayed ropes covered by the strong ones, all I need is a chance. Without the bow they will never catch me once I am free, they will pay for thinking I'm an elf.
During the journey on several occasions, the tank tripped and fell, leaving new scars on his armor. Each new scratch elicits a growl from him as his irritation grows, unknown to him the woman he is carrying is shifting her body weight to trip him when his feet near any rough terrain. Slowly the constant slips cause the pain in an old injury to become unbearable and the frequent beatings become worse because he's too preoccupied to stop the rogue from going too far. Just as they make it to the top the last hill of the part of the mountain they are ascending he falls causing to make him cry out louder than usual. the rogue says "you better get off that leg or if we are attacked carrying Selenia while traveling we won't even know how we died, we can set up camp here for a few days our supply of poison should last I brought extra"

"I want to get this done and get back to my family, adventuring has been hard on my wife"
"It's no good having a woman on her own in a city like that"
"I know that's what makes me nervous especially with the pregnancy"
"ay my brother says that the cities near the border are stocking up"
"your brothers in the city guard in Ivani right"
"yea city guard right"
"..."
The tank slowly hobbles away to get some wood to splint his leg to better rest it for the next couple days. Now with just the two of them alone together the rogue leers at the elf doing all but lick his lips. "Now look at what we have here our little local hero Selenia is oh so helpless I'm sure there is plenty of guys that would love to see you like this back at the guild."
she asks "why are you doing this"
"money" he spits back with a playful smile
"rogues really will do anything for even a couple gold won't they" she grumbles with as much sarcasm as possible.
"you got me, I'm not here for the money the money is just an extra. I'm here for you. My employer has some interesting things to say about you."
"hmph don't believe everything you hear"
"well it was oddly specific to just be random talk, said something like you were not 137 like you claimed to be. Should I start to cause you a pixie instead little trickster"
"..."
"or that you keep a necklace of your masters around your dainty little neck, oddly specific I've been with you for months and only glimpsed it by chance."
"it's not my masters its mine I carved it"
"aye, but they are the one who taught you to carve right I've seen your knife work before you should of been a rogue."
"you should of been less of a bastard"
"Don't like bastards, such poor people already suffering without a father and you just have to add insult to injury oh the humanity"
She snorts then rolls over ready to try another round at loosening ropes but as she just starts to Maneuver her hand to the secret pocket in her undergarment the rogue chimes in with a chipper voice "still trying to cut the ropes" causing a chill to go down her spine "I've known what you have been doing for a while now, R-O-G-U-E remember traps and bindings are my things. He moves closer and she realizes why she didn't warn his companion about shifting her weight to work against his old injury. It was to get her alone.
Backing up the best she could before a rock outcropping stops her she sees him getting closer grinning widely unbuckling his pants. he sees her shivering uncontrollably and it only makes him harder just as he is chuckling to himself the ropes tying her ankles to her wrists snap with the free leg using the most strength shes ever used kicks towards his groin. He tries to dodge but his pants make him stumble then it becomes too late foot meets groin, two sloshing pop sounds are made shortly followed by a high pitched scream. She stands up quickly unbinding the ropes around her arms and says "yes you knew about me undoing the ropes on my arms but you were to busy staring at my tits to notice the frayed ropes on my feet fucking perv" she dives down to grab her weapon and starts to run. Loud footsteps are followed quickly behind but she can hear that they are uneven, she would laugh if she could afford the breath because that big oaf's bum knee he bitched about constantly would mean he has no chance of catching her.

After running for a long time she stops to take her breath on shaking legs and takes a look around. Only to see that all the area is surrounded by high rocks that could be the dens of monsters. The only way was either over the mountain, impossible without supplies. Through the Forrest equally suicidal with the amount shes bleeding, anything with a decent nose would find her easily in her weakened condition. Back and fight her captors goes through her mind for just a moment before realizing that she can't take them both on without mana, She could follow the road but would be outrun on flat ground by the rogue using his wind affinity the only choice was to hide and wait for the poison to wear off.
she scrambled up a couple high rocks into a small stone Forrest then walked until she found a cave with an exit for an emergency that was vacant of things that wanted to eat her. Her racial traits aiding her in not running into anything dangerous, something she keeps absolutely secret. Even going so far as to "accidentally" get into dangerous situations so no one finds out her abilities. Exhausted from the constant pain and mental fatigue of another betrayal, she closed her eyes for a second
Selenia Suddenly wakes up to the sound of footfalls, cursing inwardly to stupidly falling asleep at a time like this she gets up and makes way to her escape tunnel. As she's about to get to the exit a shadow moves in front of the exit. "how did you find me David is a shit tracker"
"You always underestimate humans with that arrogance of yours."
the rogue chimed in from the entrance "you think because Gene is dead we cant have a tracking spell ha. What did you think we were doing when you were knocked out, twiddling our thumbs"
"you can use a little wind magic but you are no mage"
"he is right you are arrogant you don't seem to have a clue how much our employer wants you. He gave us a little charm to track lost items. After all you do always wear your masters necklace"
Hearing how she was found causes rage to boils within her, if only she had her magic she would have easily sensed it. Her racial ability only works on things she can see. Not ready to give up and annoyed at the day-jar-vu of them edging closer she pulls her sword and the tank foolishly dose the same thing as last time under the assumption she cant hurt him, now fully convinced that he is the arrogant one, she begins to move. Just as he thinks she is dropping the sword to make a run for it she instead takes the sword in one hand and places the other hand halfway up the blade on the blunt side and uses both hands to stab right into a fold in the armor. Using her upper hand to push the tip into the armor with her momentum and body weight he is immediately surprised when he feels the heat of blade cutting flesh. After a short startled cry he steady's himself with his years of being a tank pain is nothing to him but now his shield arm is done, the ligaments severed. Unable to continue to mess around he finally pulls his mace out read to fight seriously, only for Selenia to rush past his injured side, his injuries preventing any counter-attack. In a moment of rage he grabs his shield with his good hand he throws it at her, hearing the sound of wind parting. She takes a half step to the side thinking it was just his mace only to be clipped in the side with the heavy tower shield. on her way to the ground, she manages to get on top of the shield mid-air, one of the perks of an elves light frame. The shield crashes into the ground making a sound akin to thunder before she is able to start to flee again with her new wounds the ground trembles.
The ground unable to take the sudden impact because of what lies underneath crumbles causing both her and the shield to fall into the ground. after only a moment of silence, another bang is heard as the shield hits the new ground. As she lays there momentarily stunned checking her wounds she discovers that one of her lungs was ruptured and is filling with blood. Tears finally make their way down her jade face. Angry at her fate, of humans, of everything she stands on shaking legs determined to make bringing her body back as hard as possible. Starting to stumble into the darkness the adventurers only arrive to find a hole in the ground and a blood trail leading further into the darkness.

Unwitting Champion
"In stories this is always easy. There's magic and powers, and quick steps to claiming that power for one's self. This doesn't feel true for me. I'm supposed to be a Champion, whatever that means, and yet I don't feel important. I don't have all the bells and whistles, which honestly feels familiar even in a new world. But what was I expecting? I haven't had the worst life - there are people with worse problems than mine - I've known what it is to struggle, to be pulled down instead of being helped up.This is nothing new."When in great peril, the Kingdom of Althor has no choice but to send a call into the void, beseeching the Fates to bring them a man who would save them from the coming darkness. Unfortunately the path the Fates chart is often unknowable to men and the Champion who appears is not what the kingdom expected.Unwitting Champion is a story of a guy displaced, dealing first and foremost with trying to survive in a world where he is no longer a person but a tool, and - at least from the reaction of those around him - a shoddy one at that. His major goal is to survive long enough that either he can run or find a way home, because as exciting as the possibility of learning magic might be, he would rather have a boring life than a short life.

Unfortunately for Selva, everything in her life has to be an ordeal. Updates every weekday, but not on the weekend. In true NaNoWriMo fashion, I will not be using my typical editing process here, and will instead simply vomit words onto your screen as quickly as possible, trying valiantly to avoid asking myself "oh my god who CARES" because tangents are important to wordcount.
