Prologue
In a vast empty void.
A small misty orb floated in the emptiness and radiated a gentle light, then suddenly it moved. It had become aware, it shifted in all directions as if looking for something, but it was alone in this void, so it soon stopped moving and became dormant.
Time slowly ticked past and it would occasionally look around. When it found nothing the small entity reflected on its own existence, it had been in this void before, invited by poor circumstance, but this time it arrived willingly and with purpose. Although that would have to wait for the journey to be over, so it went dormant once again.
Then after awakening from its dormant state it saw a new scene, the previously empty void was filled with uncountable orbs like itself, they were slightly smaller and dimmer than itself and the orb was refreshed at finally seeing something other than absolute darkness.
It was close. The orb didn’t know how much time had passed because it had no reference point before, but it knew that the wait would be over soon.
After awakening again An unfathomably large disk came into sight, the orb thought that the disk was actually a sphere, but the disk was somehow darker than the pitch black void, so it could not see a curve.
The “doom portal” as the orb called it would take it back home. The orb felt mixed feelings about this, the dormant nothingness was a kind of relief to it, but the slowly growing disk took that option away from the orb.
Gradually the disk got larger and larger at a faster pace, The orb took its last chance to enjoy oblivion and was woken up with a jolt. The orbs entire forward view was taken up by the black disk for a moment, then everything went black for a moment and changed into a strange corridor of twisting and weaving energy.

The orb flew through the tunnels, carried by unknown currents. Thus began a shorter journey, The orb along with dozens of similar entities moved along the path, occasionally an orb would drift to the side and enter a hole in the energy tunnel.
A Larger hole appeared, it was dimmer than the rest of the pathway, all of its energy seemed to be leaking onto the main path in the form of a purple nebula like mist. The orbs non-existant eyes lit up, this was the path home.
However, excitement soon turned to panic as the currents seemed oblivious to the orbs intended destination. The orb struggled, but it didn’t have a choice in the matter and simply flew past.
With its goal and purpose crushed, the orb went back into a dormant state, The magical scenery had become uninteresting.
The orb awakened to absolute darkness, perhaps the journey failed and it had to start again it thought. However, the orb soon noticed that it felt different, it was still an orb, but it was no longer gaseous, it was solid, much like its surroundings that it could instinctually feel and such an instinct was foreign to the orb. Something is weird the orb thought.
