It's been a good couple of months since I last wrote the final chapter of Book One. And in that time, I gave this story a lot of thought. The Tempestatem has morphed into different versions on several occassions. It is nothing like when it was first written in 2015. Personally, I feel like I've matured as both a person and a writer through this process. There's a lot of love here.

I went through a bit of a rough patch in my time away from writing. What started as a routine break transformed into a series of life-altering situations. I had to cope with most of it by sacrificing a ton of what I loved to do, The Tempestatem was no exception. But in that time, the book and this story never once left my mind. It stuck with me firmly, and the more I thought about it, the more I realized how much it meant to me.

We're at the tail end of 2019 now, and I've finally reenergized to writing again. It's time for this story to undergo another transformation; this time is likely to be the last I hope. I feel like I'm at the cusp of something. The few friends I forged here at RoyalRoad, and also a few others I know IRL, they've given me some much needed advice and direction. Hopefully, my instincts reflect in the work.

I want to thank all of you for sticking with this story despite its irregular posting schedule. Know that I'm working on this story with a lot of love and passion.
