《The Immortal Mutant Teen》Chapter 70 - Under Arrest? You're Kidding, Right?

"Thank you for showing up after he left, if you had interrupted my meeting, I would have killed you on the spot," Acheron said, still tracking Charles with his eyes as he pulled off.
Acheron turned to face the woman,
"Under arrest? Can I ask what crimes I have committed?" Acheron asked the woman, now realizing what she had said.
"You are wanted for multiple counts of murder towards both humans and mutants, acts of terrorism and the genocide of the Vamps" the woman answered as she pulled a pistol out from behind her back.
"Really? A pistol? What's that gonna do?" Acheron said with a smirk.
"I brought back up," as soon as she said those words Acheron lit up with red dots like he had smallpox.
Acheron looked down on his body and noticed at least 50 lasers pointed at him.
He laughed.
"This seems familiar… is that you, Suicide Girl?"
The woman undid the safety with a click,
"Don't call me that! My name is Nancy Pots! And don't move or I'll shoot!"
"It is you! How long has it been? 30 years? You have already grown up and still an agent huh? I would have thought you'd died already since you had a death wish to try to stop me back then," Acheron said with a chuckle.
"I was trying to catch a dangerous mutant then and I'll be catching you today after all these years,"
Director Pots saw as Acheron faded away right in front of her, only to hear a voice coming from behind her. He had moved so fast only his afterimage was left behind.
"Don't count on it, Suicide Girl, you couldn't then, you won't today, and you never will,"
The Director spun around ready to shoot at Acheron if he attacked but she found him sitting down in one of the booths.

"So, who's the director nowadays? It couldn't be your senior from back then, he would never allow this, he had a good head on his shoulders," Acheron said twirling a spoon in his tea,
"Agent Tom was decapitated 15 years ago, a monster killed him…" The Director's face was now stoic, her voice laced with anger.
Acheron pretended to not hear her anger as he had his mouth slightly opened in surprise,
"Hahaha, I guess he doesn't have a good head on his shoulders anymore... Get it?" Acheron said as he chuckled at the irony.
The Director's eyes were now spiting murderous rage and were ready to shoot Acheron, but she stopped herself from firing, she knew if she provokes him here, every agent's life she brought with her on this mission will be in danger because of her mistake.
Acheron's hand started to transform and begun to cover itself in scales. Then his hand slowly turned red hot, he grabbed the cup of tea in front of him and steam slowly rose from the cup. Acheron had heated his tea due to the fact it had already turned cold.
The Director watched the whole process from the beginning to when Acheron's hand went back to normal.
"You really shouldn't call other races 'monsters' you know? It's disrespectful, they are sentient beings with their thoughts and cultures" Acheron said nonchalantly as if what he just did didn't happen in front of her eyes.
"So, who's the director? You still haven't answered my question.."
Acheron took a sip of his tea.
"I am," the Director said simply and straight forward.
*Pfftt!!*
Acheron spit his tea across the room, the Director had to dodge the scalding tea as it headed toward her.
"You?! Suicide Girl!?! Are the higher-ups insane in your government?!"

Acheron couldn't believe it. He thought he should probably have kept up with the ongoings of this country, then he wouldn't have embarrassed himself in front of others.
The Director's forehead veins bulged as she tried to hold her anger back from exploding. There was nothing she wanted to do more than put a bullet in Acheron's head and watch as his brains splattered all over the café.
"Why not me?" the Director said in between clench teeth,
"I have an almost perfect record, no one except you has ever gotten away from me"
"Ohhh impressive! I was sure you would have died young, I'm glad you proved me wrong! I'm am honored to be the one that slipped away," Acheron said, his tone sounded sincere, but The Director felt like he was mocking her.
"So? What did you want to talk about? I know you didn't just spend all day listening to static for nothing,"
Acheron then reached into his jacket pocket and pulled out a small cube no bigger than a sugar cube.
"Cool right? This little gadget creates a kind of field in which no surveillance can penetrate. This is the reason why I don't show up on satellite or audio surveillance. All you will ever get is static and a ghost zone from me"
The Director looked at the small cube and wondered where she could get one.
"If your interested, Pandora sells them… for a high price of course," Acheron said noticing her interest.
"You have connections with Pandora?" The Director asked,
"You don't pay attention to anything not related to mutants do you?" Acheron asked,
"If you did you would have noticed that the CEO's and I share the same last name,"
The Director's eyes widened in surprise.
"That's right! I own Pandora," Acheron said, an evil smile suffusing across his face.
"All of the equipment you use to subdue mutants comes from me, funny how life is, right? You wouldn't want Pandora to pull out their contracts with this country right?"
"What do you want?" The Director said between clenched teeth.
"Nothing really, you and your boys will stand down and leave me alone, I'm leaving London tomorrow anyway, so there's no need for a massacre in this little old café," Acheron said,
Acheron got up and started to leave. The director struggled with herself before lowering her weapon and asking her men to let him leave.
"Turns out it ended just like last time huh?" Acheron said before chuckling.
"Close up the shop on your way out, would you? I promised the owner nothing will happen to his café,"
Acheron waved her off before leaving the café with a smile on his face. He even said goodbye to all the agents as he passed them, telling them 'Good work' and 'God bless the queen' as if mocking them.
The Director watched as Acheron got away from her once again, she was so mad she threw her radio against the floor and stomped on it.
"I fucking hate that guy!"

The General Core {The Sphere}
The life cycle in the Sphere is on the brink of collapse because one of its elements, the Dungeons, have been exploited too much by the mortals. The group who created the Sphere already tried and failed with several modifications, because the original computer-like dungeon cores are too inflexible to handle changing approaches. So they try another type of solution – taking souls from other worlds to try to find a solution before the Sphere Cycle breaks down completely. The General was one of the best soldiers of his world, rising from the ranks of a private through Officer School to the highest command with honors. But when his world faced a zombie apocalypse, even that was not enough and he had to make the ultimate sacrifice. Now he is asked for a repeat performance of planning and controlling a dungeon and its spawns in a world that he knows nothing about… But what is the Sphere really? What is that [Xenotic conversion] he has to go through to even enter the Sphere? Something is really strange and he will have to find out what is going on to get to his promised rewards – whatever they will be. Being a soul in a dungeon core means that the General has better chances of finding hints to the truth about the sphere – a knowledge that would help him survive. And no, the sphere is NOT a virtual reality – the key to its secrets is the place where it was physically constructed (Author’s hint). This is a dungeon core story - but there are quite a number of things that I will do differently than common to those stories. 1) I will describe the floors when they are explored, NOT when they are build. Yes, that will mean it will take longer to get to those parts - but I think describing floors both when they are build and when they are explored destroys quite a lot of chances for suspense when adventurers enter the dungeon. After all, if you as the reader already know where the traps are, then you can't really be surprised when the surfacers encounter them. 2) How the world works (and how not) is an integral part of the story, so it will be explained I'm a world-builder first and the Sphere is NOT a regular world (as hinted in the synopsis above). Things will work differently than in your 08/15 default dungeon core stories - as the General and Gunny have already learned in the second arc (and more of that is already scheduled for the next weeks (July/Aug 2019) when the Sky Arrows continue to explore and evaluate that strange dungeon) If you don't like these premises, then I'm sure you'll find a lot of other Dungeon Core stories more to your liking. But if you are interested in more than "Dungeon builds another room and corridor in medieval earth" and are not afraid of a longer and slower story, then go on. I have two more stories in the Sphere, although they both have lower priority than this one: Shaleen the Wanderer (Adventurer, NSFW) (currently on hold after some chapters) Info's on the Sphere (System Docu and Short Stories) (irregular updates when needed) Current Status reports have been moved to a new discord server: https://discord.gg/EaHkXCfm9y

THE WHISPERS IN THIS DARK, CRUEL, AND GHOSTLY WORLD
(Vampires & Humans Vs. Werewolves & Ghosts???)It is the year 2201, and the human race is at war with not only the next evolution of the human race, werewolves, but also against Nature itself. An Ancient race of underground dwellers called vampires live and tries to protect humanity by bringing the human population underground in their habitat. The humans and Vampires live in fear of the werewolves, but that is not all, If this was the worst of it all, then it would have been a rather nice end for a good bedtime story about humans and vampires leaving in harmony underground, but this was not the end and neither is this a bedtime story. Nature (planet) still had big plans for the world, even with the creation of its henchmen, the werewolves (who have no control over themselves at all, merely acting based solely on their biological instincts), that was still not enough for nature. Nature still needed one last thing, something that could give those werewolves orders, tell them what to do, guide them, something that would be a personification of nature itself, something that would be nature's full power, with its wisdom and knowledge, something that would be its symbol. Ghosts.
