《A Future Destroyed - A Post-Modern Fantasy LitRPG》Interlude - System Control (Volume 1 Epilogue)

A golden wisp floated around the emptiness of the control room at the core of the System. It had been ages since the last time a system had been added. A new solar system would soon be reached and scanned for sapience. The System had detected radio wave broadcasts from this solar system in the past and deciphered all of the data. It looked forward to adding these beings into the Collective. It hungered to grow, to thrive, to push limits and potentials.
Finally, the System reached the solar system of the star Sol, and what seemed like moments later, everything froze as the System pulled in another eleven billion sapient people, diving into their memories, their computer networks, downloading and converting all the available information in order to offer the newly initiated race of Earthlings culturally relevant options for their enhancement. Diving through the double helix of their genetics, it found the three skills that made up the core of the Earthling Humans: Adaptability, Survivability, and a Hidden Potential.
The media, oh my, the media! These people were so inventive! Huh? Another detected sapient species? Interesting, a pair of water-based sapients, which are dolphins, and whales. Ah, they're more stable than the humans, so there, auto-filters used for them. Now, back to the humans... Oh dear... That... That isn't good. There is no set standardized age of adulthood or even global religion that we can tie the system into.
Oh my... So many are throwing away their race for their fictional and fantasy variety... How many have chosen to be Dungeon Cores!? Oh no! The System's going to need to awaken the Creator again to deal with all these new functions that are being auto-written...

The Wisp turned into a floating face, smacking itself with a palm then turned back into its generic Wisp shape, and lightened and darkened as if blinking. The Hell!? it thought.

Huh, well, I guess that's cool... Thanks, humans, I guess. I hope you survive what's to come, the Wisp thought as it triggered the needed protocols, which increased the size of Earth by 50%, gently moving the orbits of satellites, and generating a second moon at a further orbiting point. It then flicked the System Protection button and initiated a barrier on all underage members of the human race, protecting them from being attacked by beings inside the System. It reviewed the information it had on humans and set the age of majority at fifteen for the System Tutorial.

The Cosmic Interloper
Synopsis: A cyborg transhuman escapes her corporate indenture and through unfathomably unlikely circumstances, she ends up in a fantasy world of full of unique magic, angry people with sharp implements, and the whole flavor-spectrum of divine entities. Hilarity ensues. Features: - No blue boxes or cultivation, this is not a LitRPG nor about martial arts - Hard-ish Sci-Fi meets hard-ish magic - Generally trying to keep this "rational" Rationale: My primary goal with The Cosmic Interloper is to write something that I myself would enjoy reading. Of course, that’s not the only motivation, but I think it’s the most important one for me to keep in mind, especially as the author. In fact, this whole story came about because after consuming oodles of fiction, I found myself craving a very specific type of story which I couldn’t find many examples of. Then I asked myself, “why not write it myself?” and here we are. Disclaimer: In general, while I’m not writing a comedy, I do intend for this story to be funny and a bit wacky or absurd. That said though, I am using this story as a vehicle to explore some potentially dark topics including (but not limited to) slavery, speciesism/racism, and existential questions of self, consciousness, and identity. Still, I’m going to leave the “traumatizing content” tags off, because I don’t feel that what I’ve written so far (or plan on writing) exceeds the threshold that would be necessary for me to tag it thusly. Also, [insert your favorite boilerplate “views expressed” disclaimer here]. I shouldn’t need to say this, but the main character can be wrong on occasion (gasp!) and the way she views the world is not the objective truth (if such a thing even exists).
8 162The Three Saints
After 100,000 years journeying across space after escaping Earth, life resumes for the Colonists of the Ark on the Monsalle Station. Life, however, never stopped for the people of the Phoenix Clan, back on Earth. With the Ice Age over, two civilizations, separated by light years and millennia rebuild what's left of humanity.
8 293Yggdrasil - The Tree of Life
Syrus, the son of a small town Captain of the Guard, is thrust into a world of magic and intrigue as a once beaten enemy invades the kingdom of Tardis, desperate to escape an even greater foe that now floods out of the blasted lands. Syrus and his friends must succesfully learn to harness their abilities, before putting them to the ultimate test - war.
8 199The Vampire's Never-ending Curiosity
“Being the strongest is often pretty convenient and cool. Sure. But what good does this power do for me if the disadvantages it brings prevents me from satisfying my curiosity!?” This is a slow paced story of the daily (or nightly?) life of a vampire, whose starting hand in life is “no home, no name, random knowledge, overpowered strength and seemingly endless curiosity”, in a world that is often not friendly and safe even to a member of a rare and overpowered race.
8 200Seekers' Game
On Hiatus Seekers are those who seek immortality. They cultivate the mind and body, growing ever stronger by absorbing energy from the world. When two powerful Seekers decide to play a game, it’s the unlucky mortals they pick as players that will suffer. Graham is one such player, plucked from his normal life like a feather from a chicken. Will he be able to survive in a wilderness with a hostile environment, deadly monsters, and fourteen other players, each hoping to win the game and gain their freedom?
