*DING!* *DA-DA-DA-DING-DING-DING!*
Your Fifty-One Thousand, Four Hundred Twenty-Four (51,424) PPP has been converted into One Million, Twenty-Eight Thousand, Four Hundred Eighty (1,028,480) PPP with the effects of your Discounts. Your Lottery has been applied to the Soulbound Category.
Congratulations! You have access to a new feature in your Personal Soul Dimension! You have unlocked the Divine-Grade Randomized Scaling Dungeon (Solo/Party/Raid) Variant. This Scaling Dungeon Portal can be summoned once every week. Death inside the Scaling Dungeon is non-permanent, with the death just meaning a loss of all gains for that person for that run. Every opening of the Scaling Dungeon leads to newly created temporary reality. Divine-Grade means that each Instance can have items of Common, Uncommon, Rare, Superior, Magical, Legendary, Scaling and Divine Items. Enemies will be of a minimum of Heroic Status, and provide PPP when killed. The Exit Portal will be available after the Boss Room. If you encounter Intelligent Enemies, it is recommended that you try communication.
NOTICE! As the final part of the Tutorial would require a Dungeon Run, you will be transferred to the Scaling Dungeon you have acquired. Prepare for Teleportation in ... 5... 4... 3... 2... 1...
*FLASH*
He blinked his eyes and caught himself from falling over as he landed on his feet with a soft whump as he landed after the teleportation, a small puff of dirt being knocked up from his foot-high drop. He looked around himself and cursed softly, as he realized he forgot two important things when he was buying stuff before throwing everything into a Lottery. I should have gotten a journal that would never run out of paper and a pen that never ran out of ink, so that I could make maps! I don't know why I overlooked Cartography as a skill too! he frantically thought as he took in the fact that he was in an open-air pit with steep, moss-covered walls, the sky open above him, and a cave entrance in front of him.
*DING*
Welcome to the Instant Dungeon: Goblin Mines. Your currently selected Difficulty: RAID.
He sighed and pressed his palms against his face, trying to keep from screaming in frustration at that last pop-up. So, Hero and beyond Goblins, in a Raid Setting... Is this a punishment for my cheating the Shop? If not, it's a very unlucky coincidence... he thought as he closed his eyes and focused on his hearing for a moment. Yes, he could hear the clattering of pickaxe on stone coming from the cave in front of him. He opened his eyes and looked himself over, nodding as he found he was already dressed in the Swordsman's Leather set, with his adamantium weapons slotted into their spaces. His bag of holding was on his belt, and ha opened it, getting a window of what was inside it.

He blinked as he looked over his various magic skills and focused on what he knew. At the moment, despite them all being Level 20, he only knew a few novice spells from each skill. He looked over his equipment, especially his third level accessories, and his defense stat, and smiled coldly. He would have a chance inside these mines, regardless of the strength of the monsters, as long as he can keep from running out of stamina, which would seem impossible considering his regeneration rate and total.
He entered stealth mode by bending his knees into a semi-crouch sneaking position and unsheathed his short sword and a dagger. He slowly entered the cave, his vision adapting as he had designed them to, moving into a fusion of low-light and infrared. He stopped and turned back, deciding that the best thing he could do is search through the entry clearing, and behind all that moss for hidden treasures before entering, as he knew that he would personally be a dick and hide something in that area.
He used Inspect on everything, from the dungeon moss, which could be used in alchemy as a potency increaser, to the different flowers that were growing, of which there were two that were different from the rest. One was a deep ruby red, which had healing application in the petals, and the other was a vibrant sapphire, which had the effect of increasing mana regeneration. He gently used one of his throwing knives to dig the flowers up, roots and all, and tucked them into his Inventory.
After collecting the flowers, he followed his Herbology and Harvesting skills assistance to gather the moss off the cave wall, revealing a cubby with a chest behind some of the harvested moss. He focused on his danger sense and nodded as he pointed his hand at the box and whispered "[Disarm Trap]". The box glowed softly and flickered green before the sense of foreboding faded, and he reached forward, grabbing the chest by the handles on the side and pulling it from the cubby so that it could be opened. He blinked as he saw that a small gem was embedded into the wall behind the chest and that the chest had a spike that had flipped down from the Trap Disarm spell. He cast Inspect on the gem.
Firestorm Jewel
Quality: Magical
Durability: 1/1
This jewel contains the Intermediate spell 'Firestorm'. When damaged, this spell will be triggered where this jewel rests.
He took his dagger and slowly chipped around the jewel, loosening the dirt around it, and holding his hand gently against it. After a minute, the jewel slid into his hand, and he moved it into his Inventory, happy to have what he considered a grenade. He then moved back to the chest and slowly opened it. Inside, he found a journal, a pouch of gold, and a pouch of seeds. He gently opened the cover of the journal and skimmed it, finding recipes for various alchemy concoctions. He then stored everything back in the chest and tucked it into his bag of holding, smiling to himself. "Check everything..." he whispered to himself.
By the time he finished with the entry room, he had found a total of five more of the health flowers, seven more of the mana flowers, and had managed to acquire an astonishing stack of seventy dungeon moss in his inventory. He carefully used his resonance gland to find handholds and climbed up to a small shelf, where there was a nest. Inside the nest was a large egg and a glittering silver key. He inspected both of them.
Roc Egg
Type: Food / Combat Mount
Durability: 5/5
A recently laid Roc egg. Can be used as food material for the next 48 hours. If not used for food, it can grow into a baby Roc which can be raised as a Combat Mount.
Magic Key
Quality: Magical
Durability: 50/50
Charge: 50/50
Can use 1 Charge to cast 'Unlock'.
He slowly put both the egg and key into his Inventory before climbing down slowly as there was a barrier preventing him from climbing higher. When he got back down to the ground, the system chimed in his ear.
*DING*
You have learned the General Skill: Climbing!
He checked his status and smiled to himself as he saw that Climbing was now at the default value of Level 20 like the rest of his skills. He finished combing through the entrance before nodding to himself and entering the cave system again, glad he had gone back and checked for anything hidden. Drawing upon his stealth skill, he vanished as he made his way down into the Goblin Mines Raid zone.

Maker of Fire
On a world where magic kept civilization firmly in the bronze age, the Gods dropped an accountant and a mining engineer to start a political and industrial revolution. They wanted enlightened governance and a fast track to the iron age. They got indoor plumbing, paper airplanes, a cranky queen, and one very grumpy prophet. Dramatis Personae Aylem was a bookkeeping student when she died. The Gods reincarnated her as the greatest mage ever known, born into the ruling class of gigantic, magic-wielding humans. The Gods expect her to conquer the world and introduce double-entry accounting. Though Queen and numerical reformer, world conquest is stalled because everyone is scared of her and she doesn't like war. Emily was a retired engineer when she died. The Gods reincarnated her as one of the enslaved class of small, magicless humans. The Gods expect her to drag the world out of the bronze age. Though she's already recreated matches and wrought iron, introducing technology isn't going well because she was born a slave (oops) and having escaped, wants nothing to do with so-called "civilization." Asgotl was a whale when he died. The Gods reincarnated him as a griffin and expect him to have the same role he played in his previous life: to keep a reluctant prophet from walking off the job. If only they had remembered to tell him about it. Revised update schedule will be once a week on Saturdays, noonish Mountain Time (in North America)
