I spent the night with Ann not realizing how much I have fallen in love with her. Until the moment that she shows up. We talk until midnight about her trip which sounds pretty dull except for three incidents one was a tribe of Orcs moving southward due to being flooded out of their area. A total of ten male and about thirty females of various age and some children and livestock. The second incident was Trolls from the look of it they were grass trolls not as large as other trolls, but they tend to blend into the world around then by burrowing into the soil during the day and travel by night, Grass trolls have caked dirt on their back where grass grows to help them blend in to the grassland. The Third was the Frost Jotunn, which surprises me, considering that Loki has some hold over them if lore was correct. I really can't see him helping so something else is going on.

Grass Trolls are smaller than most of the Trolls they grow grass upon their back due to burrowing under the surface of the grassland to hide from the sun. A troll will sleep after a good meal for days sometimes years. Like all other Trolls, sunlight will turn them into stone. Fire is a bane to all Trolls stopping them from healing back damage. The only way to kill a troll is sunlight or fire.

The next morning was an improvement over the last few weeks other than waking up with Ann draped across me, the sound of rain has stopped. After crawling out from under her. I was able to check outside to see that the rain has fallen to a mist and that the sky looks lighter than it did yesterday. By the time I made it to the Town Hall, it was still quiet. Sarah Long was the only person in the Town Hall, organizing the board for quests. She was one of the unborns that show up a few weeks ago not affiliated with any guild or clan. Kari and Ann both knew her from their days on earth and vouched for her. She has been waiting for me to build a shop for her so she can make paper and set up as a scribe. Sarah always loves Medieval manuscripts and wants to help make books and work in a library after a while. Right now she has help Mesa-la with dispensing quest for the city and local population.

"Everything going okay?" I ask.

She looked over her shoulder, "Mesa-la has a quest for you but she would not let me post it, told me to have you see her at the tree when your not busy, I had six requests on citizen wanting us to build raised beds to grow food putting us at with ten people wishing to be farmer and only mud to grow in, fire was in here last night to inform me that they will be done with the Clan Hall in two weeks, He wants to take off for a week to do some adventuring with friends. I went ahead and approved it for you. He has been busy for a few weeks now. The Wizard tower is about to be upgraded to three-level due to your badge allowing that to happen. I had three requests for a tavern, a request for an inn by one of the goblins and several dozen shops and hovel. She pointed at a stack of clay tablets.

I will put an inn across from the wayside between the two gates. Maybe put a tavern next to it, or combine them. We are going to need hovels, but shops will pull in income to help with buying supplies and troops later. "Okay queue me up on putting in three longhouses that will hold thirty people, I'm going to upgrade six hovels to level two to add another family to them. Then work on some of the Shops then the Inn and Tavern not sure if I should combine them yet.

Hans walks in wearing clothing and not armor for once, Raising an eyebrow at him as he shakes his head, "Rust." was all he said and poured himself some tea. "We are going to need to import some more tea leaves and sugar." then sat down.

Frida drag in looking tired. "Up healing goats and sheep last night?"

Looking puzzled, "First, I hear of this."

A grass troll tries to get into the animal pens the Guards, and a few of us were able to take him down. But the battle causes the animals to panic, and they got hurt. No one was killed other than my sleep, and the troll is dead.

"Jack, you can't do everything, let some of us help?" Frida said

Hans mutters, "Sound like more work for us, oomph." as Frida elbow him in the side.

"Yep. Happy as a Lark," Frida said as she went and helped Sarah.

Cara walked in, wearing a sky blue robe with ocean waves and did a twirl, "You like?"

"Look good. Was it from a quest?"

She turns her sea-green eyes toward me and node yes. "Mesa-la is having me do a set quest called the waters of Safehaven, Keeping the settlement from flooding. It got some amazing stats."

Lester pops in and yells boo behind Cara as she let off a yelp jumping away from him as he started laughing. She turns around and cast a spell in his direction as he rolls away, narrowly getting.

"You little sneak! I'm going to freeze your ass!" Cara hiss.

"STOP! NO FIGHTING IN THE TOWN HALL!" Bellow Sarah, everyone in the room stop what they are doing and look at the meek woman in the room blushing red from all the attention focus on her.

"Please," she said as she turns back to her tablets.

"She got lungs!" Hans whisper in my ear.

I only nodded as I watch more people file into the room.

"When did Cara and Lester started dating?" Ann spoke up behind me.

"Cara dating? I need to stop working so hard next thing I know Hans be dating Kari!"

"I'm dating who?" Said Kari as she steps in to shake off the moister off her jacket as she looks from me to Ann.

"Laying odds on who dating who," Ann tease, Winking at Kari "I know I would win the bet." Knowing that Kari preference is women.

Stepping forward Jack spoke up, "Find a place to sit we be starting the meeting soon." Hoping Kari forget the comments he said earlier.

Ann whisper, "nice save."
