Earth elemental
Level 2
MIGHT 20
Damage 4
Armor Defense 10
Health 20
Move 10 ft
Dig 20 cu ft an hour
My Earth elemental is stronger since I level but that damn Draugr Mage keeps killing him. It Water Blast it every time and Bam! Its dead, four times in four days, then it stands out there the rest of the day keeping me in my tower. The Mage is too powerful after sunset. And after nearly getting killed when the elemental tried to clear out the mage tower. The damn thing carries a staff, wearing a tattered robe, a knife that I can see at its belt along with a couple of small bags. My inspect is now at almost to three.
Draugr Mage
Level 3
Health 79/80
Armor Defense has to be three since the elemental hits it only once each time doing one point of damage. It doesn’t even laugh just glares at my tower. It heals back it tiny little damage every time it goes back into the ground. Yeah I know I’m a wimp but I hate drowning and fireball up my ass neither sound fun either. Thought about using the slime cube but got attached to the little guy. Feeding him once a week called him Bill and keeps my outhouse smelling good. Back to my problem at hand. It solves itself when I was cutting more trees near Fall Creek and had the elemental was stacking them. Apparently, he slipped and all the logs rolled on him and flatten him. Summoning him back I had him haul the logs up near the mage tower before the time sunset. We had twenty logs laying on the ground when we closed the tower. Getting so tired of rabbit I figure tomorrow I find some greens, and maybe a goose or duck. Oh, I made my first wooden chest before bed. Gods! I need people around or people will think I was going crazy.
You have created a new item: a wooden chest store 30 large items.
The chests change shape to look like a nice traveling chest, even my rope hinges change to metal ones. That solve my storage problem, I will be making a few more of them, wishing I had more nails. Got plenty of wood to make help make four hovels after I kill the mage tomorrow and gather some herbs and maybe a salad. I'm Rambling again.
Morning came and the Aurochs came again. Half my morning was spent in my tower watching them while thinking about steaks.
Aurochs
Level 5
Health 120/120
Nope, not happening. Then a crazy idea pop in my head, sending my elemental to dig at the tower, three minutes later he died. Sending him three more times the last time took two minutes to die. Then fireballs started to explode nearby. The sound of cattle balling from pain and a bull roaring in anger. Climbing the ladder to the top I see a bull crash into the mage send it flying almost to the moat. It was slowly getting up forming another fireball when my flare struck it in the back

Critical hit 30 damage
Causing the fireball to explode on the ground in front of it, killing it. Damn, didn't get to use my idea.
You killed a Draugr Mage!
29/30 skeletons killed
An hour later the aurochs head north. Climbing down and went out to summon another elemental I went to check the bones,
Staff of Power, +3 MIND, + 50 mana, 10 blunt damage, Durability 30/100. Spellbook: Fireball, Water blast, Water suffocation, flare, and water Scrying. One healing potion of thirty health. One mana potion of thirty mana, ten gold, thirty-one copper, forty-six bronze, and an Urn of ashes. Urn of Ashes: Ragar the Horrible, Water mage. Hates children and being disturb.
Reading the spell book I get prompt;
You have learned the spell fireball.
You have learned the spell Water Blast.
You have learned the spell Water Suffocation.
You have learned the spell Water Scrying.
Each page faded away as I read them leaving the spell Flare.
Sending the elemental to clear the mage’s crumple tower I found the two dead aurochs the mage killed. Wool x 20, two quality hides, and ten aurochs steaks, it was a nice haul from the two of them. Found some wild onions and some wild beets that were sprouting leaves. Never ate beets but figure I make a rabbit stew. Got a mess some greens to finish out my meal of steak tonight.
I found my elemental stand by the ruined tower that afternoon. The top was clear away but there was a stairway leading down. Next to the foundation was six more books, 4 scroll cases, two dozen clay vials. Alchemy set, a bent telescope, a locked glowing chest. Having the elemental carry everything to my tower. I glance at the stairway and decided tomorrow on it.
The four of the book was on water research. +1 on researching water spells, one was on astronomy and astrology, the last one was magic theory adding +1 to my MIND. One scroll case was empty, another had eleven sheets of parchment. One was a light spell, the last scroll was a map of the area showing the granite quarry to the northeast. Shows several iron mines to the north about thirty miles. A copper mine slightly northwest on the east side of Fall Creek about a two-hour walk from here. Forlorn swamp to the southeast. Look like a town to the northwest near the Mountain's fall at the start of Fall Creek. It shows the road and a dozen waysides. Several caves and rock cropping scattered across the map. I left the magical chest alone, tuck it away so not be tempted to open it. I spent several hours to fix the telescope only x10 zoom but it better than no telescope. Checking out the night sky for an hour then fell asleep.
One of the giant ravens woke me up with it cawing, I swear it was laughing as it flew off. Grabbing the staff and left the tower.

Summoning another elemental I head over to the stairway and pulled out the scroll on Light. Studying the scroll until it fades away as I glowed.
You have learned the spell light.
Spell: Light, creating a globe of light for 5 mana, for one hour. For each one mana use the light will remain glowing for one hour. Can be fixed to an object.
Casting a glow of light on my staff of power I headed down the stairs with the elemental following me. Six Root Olms later and feeling very dirty and scratched up. I found three rooms and a hallway leading west toward the town hall. All three rooms had nothing but debris and rotting wood. The hallway ended at a pile of stone just before the town hall foundation. Upon hearing movement on the other side like a skeleton I decided I did not want to deal with the Mayor yet.
Heading back up and heading over to the town hall. I created a ramp using some of my stone and set up a log ramp trap using twenty of my logs. Once it was in place I had the elemental dig into the town hall. Five minutes later my elemental died and an enrage Draugr Mayor came screaming at me. Casting Gust of Wind and pushing the logs, flatten the mayor. Yeah, very anticlimactic.
You have killed the Mayor!
Quest complete 30/30 Draugr destroyed.

Putting all the rings on and replacing my hammer with the mace. The rest I put in the tower in the chest. Looking at the badge I think gaudy but the stats not bad. But can't use it until the settlement is built.
Heading over to Mesa-la and turn in the urns.
“Mesa-la I have the quest done on the settlement,” holding up one of the urns.
“Thank you, Jack, for clearing out the previous residence.” She said
Thirty silver coin rose out of the dirt, and Leggings of the Hearth

Armor Defense 5 (15)
3 DEFTNESS (+9),

“Can you please make a cemetery to hold the urns and have the land bless by a priest before you lay the urns to rest?” Mesa-la said.
Quest: Lay to Rest, place the 30 urns to rest on the holy ground. YES/NO?
“Yes,” I said. “I will find a good spot for them.”
First off I put my elemental to work clearing the rubble of the town hall. While I set to work on building a temple to get a priest to show up. Enlarging the floor to 20 by 20 building the walls to fifteen feet high. Adding a double door to the front and two ten by four-foot window on the other side with a stone roof. The walls are two feet thick. I merge four large logs at the top of each wall over linking each other. Let the logs stick out by two feet from the building. Placing two logs one on each side of the double wood doors, Taken me four days to complete. I was prompt
Do you wish to change the shrine of Frigga to a temple? YES/NO?
“Yes”
Choose style?
Rome/Greek column around the building up to the roof set out from the building by three feet. A Viking style with peak wood and thatch roof with stone and large log frame. Dragon heads carved into the ends of the logs. Two massive logs one on each side of the door rising to the logs on the roof. The next one was the same with shingle instead of the thatch roof. I accept it without looking at others.
The temple shift as the wood became polish. Beautiful carve dragon heads jutting out at all sides of the roof. The two column of wood carved with a relief of dragons and the two massive doors of polish dark wood depict Asgard. Opening the double door into the temple with the shrine in the middle and four braziers of fire in the corner. Six stain glass windows of Frigga as she performing a different task. Feeling a present I turn around and see Frigga.
Frigga said, “you are the first to build me a temple. Praying here will increase your Judgment by three for one day. Drinking from the basin will cure your disease and a priest can cure curses and heal without mana in here. I have placed a quest for a priest to come. I am pleased.” She fades away.

8 184For King and Kin: A Fox's Journey
Two fox-kin siblings set out to serve a human king, hoping to secure ties with the royals that had formed in times of war. Yet, much is demanded of them as their father's reputation precedes them. They find the King struggling to keep his vassals from breaking the terms of the armistice. With reports of smuggling increasing and the nation's strategic resources at stake, their father is sent to oversee the border. The king, fearing for his own children, hopes for six more months. Meanwhile, tavern brawls turn bloody as a cry spreads across the land, "Loyalty? Or bread!". What to expect: - cold steel weapons with magic- colonial-esque era- elements of strategy (including logistics)- powerful mages that can't block a crossbow bolt. Except for some earth mages.- realistic depictions of violence. I don't care to focus on it. - other races introduced eventually, if they fit. - Australian english, except when I slip. Not much slang though, I reckon.
