“Where are we?” Natasha asked as she got up and looked around.
“Nearby someone who can help, Nat,” David spoke through the phone.
“I can’t help much. Sorry, Nat.” David apologised to Nat.
“You did more than enough David.” Natasha smiled as Rogers looked around before he saw a familiar house.
“Lay low. All of Shields resource is being deployed to look for you.” David warned before he disappeared.
Natasha took her phone from the ground and looked around. “Didn’t know magic was normal now!” Rogers stated to Natasha.
“It is? Since when?” Natasha asked Steve back in pretence confusion.
“When your husband teleported us here.” Steve pointed out.
“Nah, that’s just him. I mean we literally travelled to a different planet in a different galaxy for our honeymoon using his spaceship in seconds. So, magic is more believable than that.” Natasha stated as she checked on her phone where they were.
“Planet? Galaxy? Is that some new terms or does it mean the same old things?” Steve asked Natasha with a bit of shock.
“Planets- like the one we are standing on along with few others that orbits our sun. Galaxy- like our milky way, where our solar system is located.” Natasha gave a short description of those terms.
“So, space travel is common now?” Steve asked Nat.
“Only for my husband, so far to my knowledge,” Nat replied.
“Besides where are we?” Natasha asked as she looked around trying to stop Steve from asking too much.
“Before that can you tell me what that was about him tolerating Hydra’s existence and someone asking him not to do anything to them?” Nat sighed seeing Steve caught up.
“Just know that he hates them with more hate than any person in the planet. If he could, he would have slaughtered them all off from the planet.” Steve raised an eyebrow at that comment.
“Then why doesn’t he?” Nat shook her head.
“He might seem so free and mighty with all his powers, but you of all people know that is not the case with people who appears like that.” Rogers had a thoughtful look for a moment before he nodded.

“Alright, I understand.” Nat smiled as she looked around before repeating the question she had asked before.
“Where are we?”
“Come on. I hope he doesn’t get too angry being woken up in the middle of the night.” Rogers said as they went towards a house Sam Wilson’s house.

[A few hours later]
As Natasha was running away from the Winter soldier suddenly David appeared before her in anger.
“David?” Natasha stopped as David quickly hugged her and caught the bullet aiming for her left shoulder in his finger.
*Clang*
David looked behind the cars to see the winter soldier there with his gun loading it. “That is the third time now, you are trying to hurt her!”
Before the winter soldier could even react, David threw the bullet in his hand at him.
*Pew* The winter soldier's metal arm had a huge hole as he was pushed back from the bullet impact.
Just at that moment, Rogers jumped behind him and attempted to restrain him.
----------------------------------
[David Pov]
“Are you ok?” I asked Natasha who was breathing heavily.
“Now I am,” Natasha replied to the worried David.
Rogers quickly took down the winter soldier due to his malfunctioning left arm.
I came with Natasha and bend down to remove the winter soldiers mask and moved back behind Rogers with Natasha.
“Bucky?” Rogers froze in shock before coming close to examine Bucky.
“Who the hell is Bucky?” Bucky used this gap to punch Steve before taking off.
I held both Rogers and Natasha and stopped them following Bucky. “What are you doing?” Rogers tried to wrest free of my grip while Nat stopped and watched me in confusion.
“We can’t…”
*Bang**Bang**Bang**Bang**Bang**Bang*
Suddenly, several shots from an assault rifle began firing and piercing my body shedding blood everywhere.
“Noo!” Natasha screamed from seeing the bullet wounds on me along with the blood on my t-shirt. She quickly yanked me aside from the bullet barrage while Rogers placed his shield up.
“Sam stop!” Steve shouted to the confused Sam as he landed and folded his wing just as Natasha quickly grabbed me in tears.

“Please be ok!” Natasha cried as she held onto the bullet wounds.
“I did tell you about the Extremis, didn’t I?” I asked seeing her panicked look, in confusion.
Natasha stood still as she saw the wounds starting to close before she hugged me tightly, afraid to let me go.
“Woah! What the hell!” Sam said out loud as he saw the bullet holes closing on me, just as Steve moved out his shield out of the way seeing it was a misunderstanding.
“Are you okay?” Rogers asked me to which I simply smiled.
“I am fine, but we are going to have to move towards a safe place,” I told them just before a portal appeared under all of us.
“What the heck was that?” Sam asked as we were now inside an empty corridor.
“And who the hell are you?” Sam asked me.
“Her husband.” I told Sam as Natasha finally let go of me and started examining me to see if I was fully healed in worry.
“You got superman for a husband?” Sam asked from the side.
Seeing Nat ignoring him, I stopped her and held her hand before looking into her eyes. We didn't need to talk as she understood what I wanted.
*Sigh* She turned around to look at Sam. “It was an exclusive deal,” Natasha stated coldly with slight anger.
“Sorry, I just thought he was the bad guy when he was holding onto you while letting other guy runoff.” Sam raised his hands apologetically.
Remembering that scene Rogers turned towards me. “Why did you stop us?” He asked upset, missing his chance to find a lead on his supposedly dead friend.
“Shield strike force was on their way. He was just delaying us. Besides your priority right now is not Bucky but something else.” I told him as Natasha finally stepped back before looking at me.
“Where are we?” She asked me.
“A secret facility.” Another voice answered for me.
Everyone turned around to see Agent Hill.
“Thank you, David.” She smiled towards me.
“I am just doing this for Nat,” I told her back to which she shook her head.
“You helped heal him without asking for any price.” Agent Hill did not acknowledge my humbleness.
“Once again that was because she asked me to do it first,” I said while pointing at Natasha who suddenly understood who I was talking about.
“He is alive?” She asked me.
“You did ask me to help him. How could I say no to that?” I asked her back.
“But his heart stopped?” Natasha stated in doubt.
“My handy work. I manipulated all the devices in the hospital to show a flat heart along with a dose of Tetrodotoxin B that Bruce developed to cope with stress, which of course didn’t work for Bruce but worked very well for Fury.” I told her.
“Wait, Fury is alive?” Sam asked from the side in confusion.
“Follow me.” Agent Hill told everyone, and we followed her to see Fury sat in leaning in a chair.
“I have got to say you found one hell of a husband Agent Romanoff.” Fury smiled towards everyone looking perfectly normal except for the arm in a sling.
“Why all the secrecy? Why did you not just tell us?” Rogers asked Fury.
“Any attempt on the director's life had to look successful.” Agent Hill stated.
“Can't kill you if you're already dead. Besides, David stopped me from telling you all, something about interference.” Fury said as he looked at Natasha and Rogers.
Natasha sighed as she looked at me. “You better stop interfering and extending your duration like this till 2016.”
I nodded with a smile as everyone else looked at Natasha. “Family matters and please don’t ask her, she won't say anything.” I told everyone.
Seeing the awkward look on most of their faces I turned towards Nat.
“Ok, I am off. Can’t stay for too long.” I told them as I gave Natasha a short hug before resizing and opening a small portal.

People. Harmony. Dysfunction
[Hiatus]People are extraordinary. They are glorious, chaotic, imaginative, grim, all kinds of smart and driven. They are capable of living in harmony or incredible destruction. They can be both caring and loyal but vicious and self-centred. However, Olivia wished that the first year of her PhD didn't have to showcase quite so much of the melting pot. People. Harmony. Dysfunction. is a story that follows a research group through the drama and challenges life throws at them. It has an (unspecified) modern setting and focuses on the characters. I've tried to rate this pre-emptively, but unfortunately it might change as the story evolves.

Delicate as Glass
[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] Nuri, an [Assistant Glassworker], only has a single Skill. It’s really not fair. He’s worked in the hot shop his entire life, following in his father’s footsteps after his parents passed away, but he’s stuck. Despite possessing above-average talent as an artisan, he still hasn’t shed his [Assistant] status, gained a second Skill, or even leveled enough to reach the first Threshold. Besides, he’s bored; most days he daydreams of adventure and becoming a hero, or pines for the renown that’s sure to be his if he evolves his Class into a [Master Glass Smith], but nothing ever changes—until suddenly, fate strikes, and nothing is ever the same again. These days, Nuri sees more magic, prestige, and adventure than he can handle as he gets swept up in realm-shaking conspiracies and desperate fights for his life. Maybe a boring life wasn’t so bad after all. Disclaimers: 1) Names were mostly chosen through random generators and aren’t necessarily final. If they seem derivative or boring, blame RNG. 2) Skills, Classes, levels, and the entire system is currently a work in progress; please be kind if it’s not very well fleshed out yet. 3) This is the first full-length novel I've set out to write without a single plot point ready. I had nothing in mind other than a recent visit to a hot shop. Molten glass is pretty awesome. 4) Related, I know much less about glass than I’d like. I did some research, but mistakes are bound to happen. If you have a correction, thanks! Please be polite about it. 5) The prose is my experimental attempt at first-person, present tense. I realize it may not be everyone’s preference, but I hope you’ll give it a try anyway!
