《The Love of a Lazy Potato with Cheats- MCU FanFic》Episode 36- A day off

I woke up early the next day to examine her condition to see she was very stable and normal.
Bart came in looking worried as I was in the middle of cleaning up everything.
I looked at him in annoyance. "What! You didn't tell me that you just watched some videos." He defended himself.
"And cause you to become worried and not agree to the surgery?" I asked back.
"Obviously." He nodded to which I chuckled.
Natasha woke up hearing our bickering. "That was a good sleep." She stated as she looked around.
"How are you feeling?" I asked her.
"Just like you promised, better." She lifted her shirt to see a red coating on top of her wound.
"And just like you wanted you can eat solid food," I told her happily seeing her smile.
"You are one hell of a genius you know that," Clint said after seeing she wasn't in pain anymore.
"I like to think I am the best genius in the world," I told him causing him to roll his eyes.
"Why are you even running a small restaurant if you are so good? Shouldn't you be bloody rich like Tony Stark and Hank Pym?" He pointed out.
"Being so knowledgeable can make life boring sometimes so I decided to open a restaurant.
Besides money lost its meaning to me when I saw how easily I could get it." I shrugged my shoulder as Laura came in looking concerned.
"How are you feeling?" She asked Nat.
"Perfect." Nat smiled at her to which she sighed in relief before looking at me with amazement.
"Anyway, I am going to dispose of everything including the bottles. Don't want anyone to find them and realise how it can potentially be used as a chemical weapon." I said as I pocketed the 4 bottles.
"Now say what!" Clint and Nat looked at me.
"Short summary- very dangerous if people find out to apply these chemicals for war. Used right it can help save millions but seeing how greedy most people are I doubt if people would love to use it for helping people." I stated.
"Okay, I am definitely coming with you to make sure you dispose of it properly. I don't want potential biohazards anywhere near my house" Clint walked behind me to which I shrugged.
After 1 hour we came back disposing of the bottles properly.
I began cooking for them much to everyone's happiness. It was an appreciated truth that I was the best chef when Laura and Clint made me cook a few years ago when we first visited them. Since then I was asked to cook whenever I was here.
2 days passed before Clint gave us a piece of news. "I have to go for a mission in 2 days." He informed us to which all of us nodded.
As we retreated for the night I hugged Natasha from her left side while feeling her warmth. "David?"
"Hmm?" I hummed back.
"Can we go back home?" I looked at her.
"Why?" I asked her.
"I want to be alone with you until I recover." I smiled hearing that.
"Okay, we can go back tomorrow with Clint." She nodded.
The next day we informed Clint and Laura. "No! No! No way! Both of you are staying here until she recovers." Bart shook his head.
"I can eat solid food something I shouldn't even be doing until months later." Natasha pointed out.

"Precisely why I don't want you 2 to leave Laura's sights. Who knows what David might invent upon hearing you can't use your arm or you are feeling tired? Just you not able to eat caused him to invent 4 chemical that could potentially be used as a bioweapon." Bart shook his head while Laura laughed hearing that.
"He has got a point." I nodded while Natasha looked at me stupefied.
"Whose side are you on?" She asked me in annoyance.
"On the bright side, Natasha is mature enough to stop me from doing anything crazy." I pointed out, which caused Laura to nod.
"He is right babe. Just let them have their space." Not long after Clint relented under all our persuasion.
We packed up and placed out luggage in my car. "I will go get the wheelchair." Clint offered as Natasha couldn't walk due to being partially numb from my painkillers.
"I am not gonna ask why you even have a wheelchair in your house. Besides I will just carry her." I smiled as I picked Nat in my arms causing her to blush slightly.
"Love birds. And for your knowledge, I took one from our base for her." Clint rolled his eyes as he came down with the folded wheelchair.
"Bye, guys." We waved Laura and the slightly sad Lila goodbye as Clint drove.
I made a call to the rentals I had hired the car from on the way to inform the drop off point and time.
Not long later we arrived at the airport.
I dropped off my car at the airport car park, where the same woman who gave me the car came to collect it. She sighed in defeat seeing me carry Natasha in my arms with a smile.
"Drop the lady on the wheelchair, oh god of love." Clint pointed at the wheelchair.
"I can carry her till plane." I pointed out.
"Absolutely not. It's already embarrassing for me seeing you carrying her in the car park not to mention how it will be in an airport crowded with people." He sighed.
I reluctantly placed Nat on the wheelchair much to his happiness.
We caught the flight back to New York with Clint and arrived a few hours later. "Make sure to call me if it's important. Also, I will inform Fury to send someone to keep watch on you 2 until you are recovered." We nodded as Clint separated from us.
"Bye." Both of us waited until Bart left our sights.
As soon as he left our sights I picked up Nat from her wheelchair and walked towards her car. "You are very naughty." She pinched my nose.
"If you do that I might sneeze," I told her as I tried to get off her hold.
"You took my car?" Nat looked at her car in the car park in surprise and happiness. I rarely drove cars and to see I drove her car was surprising to her.
"I felt something was wrong when you wouldn't pick your phone along with Clint.
So, I quickly grabbed your car and just rushed to the airport after roaming around the city for a while as you taught me to lose anyone stalking me." I placed Nat in the car I had parked at the airport.
"Your intuition is so scary sometimes." She commented to which I smiled as we began moving.
"So, what really happened?" I asked causing her to explain everything to me.

My heart skipped a beat when she said someone in an orange robe pushed against Bucky. "Are you sure you weren't hallucinating?" I asked even though I knew what she had said was the truth.
"How would you explain how that metal guy going for my abdomen when he was aiming for my head?" She asked me back to which I nodded.
"Maybe a friend of yours from Russia?" I asked her to which she shook her head.
"I don't have any friends that are monks back in Russia. Not to mention why was there a monk in Nevada of all places?"
"That is true." I nodded.
'Master of mystic arts.
But who? And most importantly why? And it doesn't make any sense as the masters of mystic arts only involve themselves with the mystical things. Why would they help out with a normal worldly event?
"Did you see that persons face?" I asked her to which she shook her head.
"Their face was covered to the point where I couldn't even see his/her eyes. Besides I was too dizzy to have a clear look of them." The only logical explanation is the Ancient One. She must have seen something catastrophic resulting from Natasha's death.' I thought to myself.
"Well, whoever it is if I find them then I will help them any way possible for saving my secret spy's life." I smiled as Natasha leaned her head on my shoulders.
I took a detour from the usual way and drove towards a shop.
"I am just going to grab some stuff for lunch and dinner. I will be back quickly." I told her as I parked the car beside the grocery shop.
"Call me if you need anything." She nodded after which I kissed her on the cheek and quickly went out.
I ran to the shop in hurry and got everything I will need for the next few days before quickly making my way towards the checkout ignoring the people looking at me like a crazy person.
"$153.59," The lady at the checkout stated to which I quickly paid before making my way towards the car.
"Well, that was quick," Nat stated as she looked at her watch while I dropped all the shopping bag in the back.
"I ran. You should have seen it; everyone was looking at me like a crazy person." I told her.
"Obviously. What kind of person buys this much stuff in 10 minutes?" She pointed at the shopping bags.
"A person extremally worried about his injured girlfriend," I stated as I started the car.
"Or a person who is hiding from the authorities." She joked to which I laughed.
Arriving back home I carried Nat to the couch. After which I brought the shopping bags in before closing the garage and the door to the house.
"What do you want for…" I looked at the watch.
"…dinner?" I asked her as I placed everything in their appropriate space as Nat watched me.
"Chicken mac 'n' cheese." She quickly replied to which I nodded as I began to take everything needed for it out.
"And how about strawberry trifle for dessert?" I asked her to which she nodded.
"Can I come up and watch you cook?" She asked me to which I agreed.
I lifted her and placed her on the kitchen worktop. "You comfortable?"
"Perfect." She smiled as she kissed my cheek.
I smiled as I began cooking while we talked mostly about why I was making things the way I was etc.
"And let me move you to the dining table." I washed and dried my hands.
"Ready?" She nodded with a smile as I lifted her up.
"How about we eat from the couch?" She suggested to which I nodded.
"Anything for my sick patient." I moved her to the couch as I brought a table near the couch.
I placed all the food on the table. "Just one more thing missing." I smiled as I fetched our homemade laptop.
"I never thought this laptop will be so useful now," Natasha stated to which I laughed as I placed it on the table.
The thick 18-inch laptop both me and Nat had built together.
Of course, in order to build this laptop, I had to completely restructure the wiring of the house for it to do certain tasks which I had wanted it to do, along with other things. Nat had helped me with a bit of the wiring whenever she was here.
It could control the lights, the temperature, checking the timer of the washing machine, oven, TV etc. The laptop could pretty much control the house. There was even a feature that played sound through the entire house through the speakers hidden inside the walls.
I switched it on before sitting on the couch.
"What do you want to watch?" I asked her as I passed her a plate.
She shook her head as she stretched her arms out to me. "I want to sit on your lap." I smiled as I placed the plate back before lifting her to my lap comfortably.
Taking the hot plate of mac 'n' cheese I placed it in front of her.
I blew on the hot mac 'n' cheese on the fork. "Play Hangover." Natasha ordered the laptop just as she parted her lips to swallow the mac 'n' cheese.
The TV turned on and began playing Hangover which had just been released this year. I took the next spoon of mac 'n' cheese and ate it.
We kept alternating between each spoon even for dessert as we watched Hangover.
"Do you want to sleep?" I asked her to which she nodded.
"One second let me wash the plates." I lifted her and placed her on the side.
Grabbing the empty plates and placing them on the dishwasher I turned it on. I stored the leftovers in the fridge.
Folding the laptop, I gave it to Nat to hold it. "Let's go." I lifted her up and carried her to the bedroom.
"I don't mind getting hurt like this if you will carry me every day like this." Natasha giggled as I joined her.
"If you make sure to not get hurt again like today I can carry you like this whenever you want. Okay?" I knocked her forehead with mine gently.
"Yes." She smiled as I laid her on the bed. I took the laptop from her hand and placed it beside our bed.
"Play the remaining movie," I called out to the laptop and the TV in our room began playing the remaining half of the movie.
I climbed onto the bed and sat down beside her. "David do you know why I asked if we can come back home?" She asked me as she leaned on my shoulders.
"Why?" I asked as I looked away from the movie.
"So that we can be with each other again." She smiled as she wrapped her hands around me while placing her head on my shoulder. I smiled as I stroked her head.
"How about this?" I lifted her up and placed her on my lap, as she leaned on me, while I hugged her from behind.
"Comfortable?" She nodded.
"Very much.
We began talking about some casual things while the movie played in the background.
"You know I could easily create a medicine to heal you right now," I told Natasha which did not surprise her.
"I kind of figured." She told me back.
"Are you not going to ask why I won't do it?" I asked her.
"Nope. Besides, it is just not you who wants to stay like this." She answered back.
We both knew, as soon as she was well, she would start taking missions once more. This was the best way we would spend time together.
I smiled as our fingers intertwined together.
"We can do everything a normal couples does for a while." She said with a smile.
"Yeah like watching TV, having meals together, taking care of each other…" I listed.
Natasha soon interrupted me. "And arguing and fighting."
I paused hearing that before I laughed a little and nodded my head. "Yes, and arguing and fighting." I tightened my hug.
"This is so comfortable." She said to me.
"You will be surprised how long I can stay like this," I told her as I raised both our arms and started to draw random things in the air with our fingers.
"That's good because I don't want to move from here." She said as the next movie played on our TV.
We completely ignored the movie as we just enjoyed the time we could spend with each other.
We went like this for the next 5 days, where Nat and I would be always with each other.
On the 2nd day, I received an alert that 4 human signatures were watching over our house just as Clint called in to inform Natasha that Fury had assigned people to watch over us.
If it weren't for me needing to look after Natasha, Hydra would already be extinct in the most gruesome way possible. Especially Pierce who ordered Bucky for this shit. I might forgive Bucky a bit since he was mind-controlled but he is still going to get it for what he did to her.
*Clack* One day I woke up hearing an unusual noise from downstairs. Natasha was already up with a loaded gun and was trying to get out of bed.
She motioned me to be quiet and tried getting up from the bed. However, the painkiller I gave her had partially numbed her whole body which made her stumble forward. I quickly moved and extended my hand which she quickly grabbed on to.
I sat her on the side of the bed and looked at the laptop to see the heat signatures of several people wandering around the hallway downstairs. I prepared to go to the door, but Nat would not let go of my hand. I looked at her to see her pleading and tearful look as she shook her head. "No, stay with me."
"Don't worry, I will be fine. Remember I have learned martial arts too." I whispered to her with a smile and kissed her hands as she begged me with her eyes to not go and stay with her.
"Please, just stay here." I removed her tight hold which she somehow managed with the partial numbness in her body as tears streamed from her eyes.
"David please don't go." She spoke as quietly as possible, but I ignored her.
"Take the gun!" She cried but I shook my head.
"You are not able to move. Use it to defend yourself." I told her as I moved away from her and moved towards the door.
I activated the HE serum to boost my senses while everything else was switched off.
'Calm mind.' Activating calm mind with one rooted potato I began ordering the 2nd potato.
'Exterminate all target while prioritising Natasha's safety.' I ordered my gift which soon took over and pushed me back in my mind as everything began to slow down extremally for me.
My body slowly walked towards the door and opened it. As soon as I opened it there was a gun pointed at my head.
"Hail Hydra!" The agent declared.
"DAVID!!!" Natasha screamed in terror as she heard what he said.
I partially smiled inside.
