《The Love of a Lazy Potato with Cheats- MCU FanFic》Episode 5-Understanding

As soon as I was back home, I quickly ran upstairs with my books and started reading them using my ability.
I first started reading year 6 books.
By the end of the day, I had finished reading through all the thick books for year 6 students. There wasn't much change to what I had previously learned, and it was interesting to know that. I had thought since it was marvel world the rules of science will be different compared to the normal world, due to all the weird shenanigans and magic that is present in this world.
However so far there was no change which was a relief.
The changes would most likely be in a deeper layer at probably genetics, quantum etc.
It was time to sleep so I went to sleep.
Next morning, I started with the books for year 10/11 which were much thicker being about 200 pages at a minimum.
I started going through the books.
Ms Connie was surprised to see I was reading the year 10/11 book for Maths during the free time.
The other kids ignored me after I refused to play with them after a while.
Giving my ability the order to do all the workings and examples suggested in the book in my mind, no matter how long it took.
I wanted to test the mental growth of my brain as well to test the effect of my 2nd ability.
By the end of the day, I had only barely managed to get ¼ of the way through the maths book.
After finishing my daily exercise, dinner and shower I came back to lie in my bed. I only had a few hours to read before I would have to turn off the light for Tom to sleep.
If it went on like this, I knew there was no possible way for me to finish all these books by next Saturday.

That would be problematic.
So, wanting to try something out I instructed my ability to memorise and store everything it read on one page instead of understanding it.
This worked wonders as after giving my ability these orders, my body quickly managed to finish reading through the page very quickly, not only that I was able to clearly remember everything in the page word for word.
I was sure this ability of mine somehow made my brain work like some kind of efficient computer when it was taking over it.
However, other than being able to clearly remember everything on the book there was no other use for me with it.
'Comprehend and solve and the problems on the page I just memorised.' I gave another order hoping it would work.
And luckily the order worked. I started to get a new understanding of the things I learned along with the experience of how it was solved in my head.
Memorizing the page took a few seconds but comprehending and solving all the pages took me a very long time.
So instead I gave an order to memorise all the books.
By Wednesday I had finished memorising all the books.
After finishing with all the memorising on Wednesday night I ordered my ability to start comprehending and solve the problems in my head while I was sleeping.
When I woke up in the morning it was strange to see that my understanding of Maths had vastly improved. I had a much deeper understanding of equations and certain formula that I hadn't focused that much back on my past such as probability and statistics.
Even though I had barely gone through half the book it was simply awesome what I could learn if I got through all the book.
'Keep on comprehending all the books.' I ordered as for the first time in a week I physically attended the classes myself.

Each minute that passed I gained more and more understanding of new equations, how to do certain maths problems along with gaining the experience to do each of the examples and workouts in my head.
This went on and it was the weekend.
"Ms Connie, can I go to the library again?" I asked her as I stood in front of Ms Connie with the 10 books in excitement.
"Please no!"
"No!"
"I don't want to go to the library!" The other kids cried.
Ms Connie seeing the others' unwillingness decided to take me to the library while they went to the park.
I returned the books to the library and earned a 'Good Boy' sticker from the librarian who was happy I returned all the books without any damage.
"Ms Connie, can I take some more books out?" I asked her with excitement.
Ms Connie looked at me with curiousness. "Ok, but be quick." I nodded and quickly ran off.
"Don't run in the library, David." Ms Connie shouted after me.
I stopped running and speed walked to the area where the A-level books were.
After year 11 which had GCSE's, students in the UK had the choice to further move on in their studies by going to colleges to do A-Levels before entering universities.
Similar to last week I picked a dozen books on all 3 sciences, maths and IT on the college/ A-levels.
This should occupy me for a while.
However now I had the problem of needing to carry so many heavy books back to the librarian and Ms Connie.
Just as I was thinking Ms Connie came there and looked at me thinking in front of a pile of thick books.
"David, what are you thinking?" She asked.
"Ah, Ms Connie you are here. Can you help me carry these books to the librarian?" I asked and saw her surprised face at seeing so many books.
Unlike last time she looked through all the cover pages of the books. "David these books are not meant for someone of your age. Do you even understand what is written on them?" She asked with a sigh.
"But Ms Connie I like reading. Even though I don't understand them, it is fun to read and learn new words and numbers." I said with excitement.
"Like differentiation, compound, molecular structure," I said some words to make it sound like I was interested in the literature aspect of these books rather than the theory part.
Ms Connie was surprised hearing those words from my mouth. "Well, you sure have surprised me. Ok fine, I will let you read them but make sure to not damage them." She warned me as she helped me with those books.
The librarian sighed as she saw the books again. "He just likes reading." Ms Connie explained as she gave her card to the librarian to take the books out as I looked expectantly at the books.

Wildling
Blurb: Silas--a scavenger living off the ruins of humanity--has spent his entire life fighting tooth and nail to provide for himself and his crew. But when a scavenging run goes awry and he's snatched up by an android patrol, he finds himself thrown into a cage and priced to sell as a pet. And when a suitor comes calling, he fears the worst: that he'll be turned into a Domestic, a human lapdog brainwashed into total obedience. Instead, he discovers an equally disturbing truth: that the creatures who stole his world have created a videogame the likes of which Earth has never seen; a sprawling, game-like theme park where humans are the Avatars and androids are the players who control them. And to make matters worse, his android guide is as hopeless as they come, having gotten all of her previous Avatars killed in record time. So if Silas wants to regain his freedom, he'll not only have to fight his way through a world that was specifically designed to murder him in brutal fashion--he'll also have to convince his android guide that he should be the one calling the shots. FAQS: Q: Who are you, handsome stranger? A: I'm Kyle Kirrin, the author of Shadeslinger, book 1 of The Ripple System, published by Portal Books, and I write crunchy LitRPG. Q: What is Wildling? And is it complete? A: Wildling is a crunchy LitRPG mash up of Fantasy and Science Fiction. And yup, Wildling is already complete at 64 chapters, or about 120,000 thousand words. You're looking at something like a third draft here--it's fairly polished, but it hasn't been picked over by a copy editor yet nor has my developmental editor seen it. Q: Upload schedule? A: 5 initial chapters today (2/15/2021) and one chapter a day for the next month. After that I'll probably slow down to 2 or 3 chapters a week until the story is complete. Q: How crunchy is it? A: It's pretty crunchy. I'd put it on the same tier as Ascend/The Land/RSSG, but it might be a bit crunchier than those three? Q: Is this the first book in a series or a web novel or what? And what are your plans for it? A: It's currently a standalone with series potential. Full disclosure: this story may head the way of my publisher eventually, but will be available on RR for quite a while no matter what. Likely several months after it's complete with plenty of warning before/if it's taken down. Q: What kind of build does the MC create? A: Sword and board! Q: Crafting? A: Plenty! Crafting isn't as center stage as it is in The Way of the Shaman, but it's close. Q: Base building? A: Two fully separate, distinct bases, both of which play a major role in the story. Q: VRMMO? Portal? Reincarnation or what? A: This one's a bit tricky. Basically an advanced race has created a game-like world that closely resembles a theme park. Think Westworld but with copious amounts of loot. And the MC has to fight his way through that to earn his freedom. Q: Permadeath? A: Nope! The MC gets 3 lives to play through the entirety of the game world, and death is extremely punishing, but not fatal. Q: Harem? Or romance? A: No and no. Q: Cursing? Blood? A: Quite a bit of cursing, yeah. There's blood, too, but it's not a gory book by any means. Q: How can I support? A: Instead of a Patreon/donations etc, I'd ask that you consider giving my debut LitRPG Shadeslinger a chance. It's free on Kindle Unlimited and the audio is already out narrated by Travis Baldree. It's an epic fantasy VRMMO where the main character gets 3 days of exclusive access to a new game plus a snarky, talking axe to guide him through it in exchange for agreeing to become the target of a serverwide manhunt once the Head Start period ends. Q: How's it similar to Wildling? And how's it different? A. The crunch level is very similar, but Shadeslinger is a much lighter, epic fantasy take on the genre. It's also VRMMO, but without any real world components aside from the first chapter. The MC is very different--he comes off as a bit of a jerk early on and can take a bit to warm up to, especially before his backstory is revealed--but he's also got a talking axe that constantly puts him in his place. Shadeslinger's a much more humorous story in general, and it's a great deal more polished as well. Thanks for reading! I hope you enjoy Wildling!
