《Unlimited Evolution》Chapter 64:Titles

Chapter 63: Titles.
“All in due time, Urt.” After becoming speechless due to his eagerness for battle, I replied sloppily with a dull look. I didn’t expect a cool-headed fellow like him would have such a psycho side as well.
“What happened to Logier?” I asked with a bit of sadness. He was my closest friend in this dungeon, whom I had many adventures. With his help, I have even toppled the goblin lord and his zombie forces.
“That Fallen was put down by a group of humans who died together with him.” Urt replied emotionlessly, going as far as calling him Fallen. Monsters really do have a hatred against these so-called Fallens.
While flexing my various body parts to get used to status upgrades, I further enquired about the situation out there. More importantly, I wanted to know about the climax of the battle. Remembering the fight I had with my life on the line, I felt a cold chill down my spine. One mistake, and I would have become a corpse at their feet.
The outcome of that battle was because of a combination of trick, a shit ton of luck, and the careless conduct of my enemies. Though, the deciding factor was the vial of Flesh-eating viruses. Even still, I wouldn’t denounce my own efforts in that battle. With valuable EPs, I also gained battle experience. Although I couldn’t compare to Urt, who fought with many humans, I had what he didn’t. I have a higher order of cognitive thinking.
“Aside from the knights, we let go with that fat human, the rest of the humans who entered the forest got killed by the Flesh-eating viruses. Only a few who were fighting that Fallen managed to run away before the miasma reached them.”
So, it was a complete victory! I was a bit surprised. Considering our stand and inferiority, it was hard to believe that we won a war against the humans. A rush of excitement filled my heart, which reflected in the form of my tail swishing like a snake. I took a look at Urt, who had a proud face while reporting me, and thought, no wonder he wanted to battle again. He got addicted to the victory!

After reporting me about everything, Urt went away to his own home while claiming that he needed some sleep. I didn’t stop him as he had been keeping watch over me for three days straight without taking a break. He needed rest.
Left alone in the room, I continued to observe the changes brought over by this round of evolution. The new option I gained from the system which was unrelated to my race, The Title Effect. At present, I had three titles, with all of them showing ‘not equipped’ status.
To know more, I ‘thought’ of the first title to expand.
Lord of Orcs and Goblins
Your actions had subdued the orcs and goblins around you. They respect you a lot. By equipping this title, you will be looked favorably by orcs and goblins everywhere. +30 Physical DEF and +20 Magic DEF when facing an orc, goblin or their variant. Grants you a passive skill called
[Subdue(Passive)]
After defeating an orc, goblin, or their variant, there is a 40% chance they will swear allegiance to you, irrespective of their strength or racial superiority.
Although it looked practical, the downside was that it could only be applicable when facing an orc or goblin. However, considering how this dungeon was full of orcs and goblins, this title might come in handy every day.
Moving on,
Returnee You are someone who has returned from a place with no way back. Although not the first one to do so, you have still broken an iron-clad Law of the world, thus earning the title. Gain a passive skill called Resist Resist(Passive) When HP falls below 20%, you gain a shield that absorbs 90% of damage while making you immune to all instant-death attacks and controlling type skills. Meanwhile, you regain 30% of maximum HP and 50% of lost MP instantly. The effect lasts for 5 seconds. Cooldown time: 1 hour
Once again, a powerful and practical ability. Moreover, it had a lifesaving passive, which was more important than anything. Although I lacked explosive damage type skills, it wasn’t as necessary as having a life-saving trick. This Resist passive filled that much-needed gap.

And the final title was before my sight. The two previous titles’ abilities and perks made me have some expectations for this one. Not to mention, it had a domineering name like ‘floor dominator.’
Floor Dominator You have defeated all the strongest in a dungeon's floor and became its unconditional ruler. +10 to all stats when inside a dominated floor. Gain a passive skill called Gain an active skill called Suppression(Passive) When facing monsters inside a floor of a dungeon, your opponent would feel a 20% suppression of all their abilities and attributes. In case the user faces a monster of higher race than them, Suppression will cancel out the Racial Suppression. Summon(Active) You can summon any and all the monsters of the floor you have dominated anywhere. It costs 50 MP to summon a monster and 5 MP to keep it outside. If the selected monster has high enough loyalty to the caster, then the summoning cost is reduced by 50% and wouldn’t cost anything to keep it outside.
I had to stop and calm down my racing heart after reading this title. It certainly didn’t disappoint me. Two perks, one active and one passive, both were strong and practical. Although the active skill can only be used after I get out of this place, it was still something I need in the future.
As expected of the system. I could only say that in my heart and move on. Nonetheless, after this round of evolution, I had a comprehensive growth in all aspects. Again I didn’t gain any burst damage type skills, but the AoEs were sick. In the case of my new race, that ‘sick’ was quite literal.
The current me was a walking plague that could cause death and destruction to any amount of opponents. It can be also be said, as a Plague Bearing Imp, I had the potential to wipe out a whole city regardless of any number. All I had to do is to create or revive a pandemic, and it would do the rest.
My abilities would be cheats and absolute hacks if it were to be a game.
I had to consciously control myself from starting a pandemic here and wipe out all my allies. I already had a target to practice my abilities. And the unlucky lab rats would be the captured blond knight, and the dungeon summoned goblins.
Although my ‘relationship’ with Pestilence bothered me a lot, I was still pretty much happy with my current progress.
Raising my right index finger, I activated Plague Bearer. A drop of familiar purple liquid coagulated out of thin air and hovered on my fingertip. It was the ‘flesh-eating virus’ that the goblin lord has painstakingly created and used sparingly. After becoming a Plague Bearing Imp, I could tell why.
This special type of virus needed an absolute condition to cultivate due to its volatile nature. One wrong move and he would infect himself with it. What’s more, this virus was an evolving type with no cure.
Calling it a nuke was most fitting.
Before going out of the room, I licked the drop clean from my fingers. This virus was just too dangerous to be left alone unprotected. I didn’t want a horrific pandemic occurring here due to my carelessness.
Outside, I saw a very weird sight. The goblins were celebrating loudly, dancing around a fire post, and whatnot. But the orcs were sitting to a corner with depressed looks. Well, considering what happened to Logier, it was obvious they would feel down about it.
Speaking of Logier, that foolish pig, I also felt depressed. He was so close to me that even the system had mentioned it. When he was alive, I didn’t realize it. But now it was hitting me hard where it hurts.
First Coco and now the idiot pig friend of mine, Logier. Ever since I came to this world, I kept losing my important ones.
