Chapter 60: Awakening part 2
The euphoric feeling vanished after a few seconds as a wave of nausea hit me like a ton of bricks. Together with it came a few notifications, both good and bad.

After reading through all the notification floating in my eye, I understood the reason behind the supposed ‘omnipotence’ that I had felt not long ago. It was the process of synchronization with nature and residual magic in the air.
But with the appearance of this new ability, I found a way to end this war happening. Though none of the monsters had died, that didn’t mean it wouldn’t happen if this keeps going on like this. Putting everything aside, it also gave me a solution to this prince situation.

A devilish smile appeared on my face, an interesting idea indeed.
However, to implement this idea, I need Urt’s help.
Melding back into the darkness of shadows, I ran towards where I saw him the last time. When I found him, he was taking on a stocky human, exchanging blows with his spear. The spear he held was different from the one I gave him before the war. Instead of a crudely made wooden mimicry, he held a real iron(probably) spear with carvings all over its body. The moment he swiped the thing down on the human, the spear tip glowed red. I even felt a trace of fear from watching the red light.
A good spear! I praised it in my heart. The spear was definitely an item that had its own magical ability. For a moment, I had this urge to snatch it from Urt’s hand and swing it myself. But I controlled this wild urge. The spear suited best to Urt. In my hands, it will only be a decoration to showoff. I am more than sure I couldn’t bring out its full power.
And the battle finished after a few minutes when Urt used the spear to behead the stocky man. However, Urt didn’t let him go. He proceeded to strip him of his armors and weapons before giving them to the goblins and orcs following him.
So that’s how he got that item. I nodded my head at his farsightedness. Now that I think about it, the few orcs and goblins following him around all had good weapons. Two even wore full set armors, though they looked ill fit on them.
Those armors were made to fit someone of the human physique. The orcs and goblins had bigger bodies than average humans, and thus the armors didn’t fit them that well. They looked comical and awkward in them.
“Urt!” Before he went on to hunt for more, I called him loudly to my side. Swiping the blood from the spear tip on the clothes of the fallen human, he came to me and bowed respectfully. “You called for me, lord?” He asked.
“Yes.” With a grin that couldn’t be suppressed, I briefed him about the plan I hatched.

…
Arriving at the place where I was earlier, I gave the formation of the knights a once over. Then finally, I looked at the prince who was crossing swords with an orc, who looked wounded and beaten. A wave of anger emerged from my heart, making me grind my teeth in anger.
‘This fat bastard!’ I cursed the prince and his despicable actions. Then I took in a deep breath and calmed myself down. After that, I looked behind me, where Urt was standing defensively. Giving him a nod, I closed my eyes and whispered.
“Overdrive”
And then, the world changed for me.
The same ‘omnipotence’ filled me again as I felt like I could win even against the whole world. My senses expanded and covered the whole battlefield, giving me the bird’s eye view of everything. But that’s just the tip of the iceberg of what I became capable of doing.
I knew that I only had 10 seconds in my hands now. And I wasn’t wasting even a second. I don’t even have the liberty to.
I raised both my hands. Then I used Cast Illusion to sync with the residual magic in the air. As soon as it happened, I took a look at my maximum MP.
[MP: 1774/1000]
I sighed in relief. I feared there wouldn’t be enough MP, but thankfully, I had a bit more than what I required.
Fixing my sight on all the forty knights, and the prince, I took in a deep breath again and used the most powerful skill in my arsenal.
Nightmare Manifest.
I saw huge pikes made from invisible magic energy hovering above the heads of those forty-one targets, like swords of Damocles. It was a surreal sight, one that I was sure I wouldn’t see for some time.
But to my surprise, some of the knights twitched and fidgeted in their places. They would often look upwards and to the roof of the dungeon. I had to commend their senses as they felt the danger even before it happened. However, since I was running out of time rapidly, I didn’t dare to waste my time admiring.
As soon as the skill’s activation was completed, the ‘swords of Damocles’ fell on their heads, rendering them unconscious almost instantly. They didn’t stand in daze like how it happened to my other victims before. They directly entered into the realm of unconsciousness. I didn’t have the time or energy to explore the passive ability of Nightmarish Body anymore as I was busy ordering Urt what he has to do next.
After sharp 10 seconds, the Overdrive mode vanished as I fell down to the ground face-first. And then, I learned why I shouldn’t trust the explanations given by the system for word by word. It was written that I would feel weakness after the usage of this ability, but the adjective ‘weakness’ alone wasn’t enough to explain my condition at that time.
Time was pressing as we only have one minute before these people would begin to gain consciousness. Almost fifty juveline goblins poured out of the bushes around me and started to strip the knights of their weapons, bags, and armors. A few even took away all their victim’s clothes, leaving them naked.
Due to the combined efforts of so many goblins, the work was completed before one minute. I had to commend these goblins. They had the potential to become excellent corpse robbers. While porched on Urt’s shoulders, I observed the goblins in actions with morbid fascination. After they had done stealing, the next step of the plan was put into motion. A few powerful orcs grabbed the prince, while a group of no less than 50 orcs surrounded the knights from all sides.
And it was at that time when the knights and the prince woke from their illusion induced coma. I knew for a fact that whatever I had in store for them, they wouldn’t like it. But, as I had already foreseen that happening, I had already taken away their ability to retaliate. Out of options and choices, they could only do what I want them to do.
And then, the third phase of the plan started.
The negotiation was about to commence.
