《My Orange Glove》Unreal

Inside the Fay Realm, there is a pond that is not quite real. In fact, we may even call it Surreal or Unreal.
The pool's nature was so strange and difficult to understand that few if any beings or entities could enter it all, and none without the owner's approval.
Which is why Gena Feng had to wait patiently at the pond's shore until a voice invited her to step through.
However, the scenery inside had greatly changed since last time anyone visited. The flower garden and the comfortable gazebo had been overrun by raging Unreal torrents, and a single cliff remained in this turbulent river of unreality.
"Sorry about the weather, Mirror Goddess...I'm afraid I can't be bothered to clean up lately. Mostly trying to maintain what remains of my sanity." the Fay Godmother spoke with a despondent voice, although her face remained frozen like a flesh statue.
'It is even worse than what I thought." Gena whispered inward.
Instantly a mirror glint illuminated the dark skies, and the Unreal river calmed into a soft murmur.
"Which I why I am here, Lady Kalima. He will arrive in a few hours to start learning how to master the Unreal. And the Elf girl with him is far stronger than anyone alive in Mind powers. I believe she will master the Unreal even faster than Pef." Gena Feng explained as she brought out a tea table to sit in front of the suffering Fay Godmother.
"There is someone like that? Granted I haven't read any fates lately..." Kalima mused with a slightly surprised face.
"Pef's wives all seem to have strong talents in an area or another. How is Misty?" Gena asked softly as she poured some tea for both of them. Truly, Kalima seemed to be really of it due to the Unreal's immense influence over this area. She even forgot to act properly as a host...

"Misty? She just regained her Divinity. And thanks for rescuing her." Kalima answered with a faint yet pained smile.
"Barely an inconvenience." Gena answered while copying Pef's strange manner of speaking.
"That was from Pef, right? He uses strange turns of words..." Kalima realized as her mind focused somewhat more on the moment.
"And he also killed Hualitep, quite recently." Gena added wryly, then sipped her tea politely.
Kalima blinked, truly surprised. She stared at the tea cup in her hand, then gulped it all at once. "Sometimes, I wonder if reality really exists at all. Especially with news like this."
"Well, you did task me with finding a soul strong enough to achieve this task, while the General provided the environment to grow him. Mission complete!" Gena answered with a not so polite shoulder shrug. It wasn't actually her own decision in this as the Mirror acted by itself, just like usual.
"He must be at the 4th Star then, if he wants to learn the Unreal. So fast..." the Fay Godmother murmured to herself, eyes still lost over the waves of Unreal.
"Pretty fast, this life. Next month he will be 24 years old. He will probably never die again...not even in the Middle Heavens." Gena disclosed with a frown. Especially if he took the Taotie with him as guardian beast. That thing could actually Devour weaker Tier 10 immortals already. And Pef planned to make it even stronger.
'Not my problem' Gena muttered to herself. Plus it seemed the Mirror actually encouraged this course of action. Old grudges, probably.
"That's good. He even has the Inheritance of the Jade Emperor as well. I doubt they have something like that even in the Middle Heavens." Kalima said in a calm voice.
"Not like that, no. The Mausoleum originated from the High Heavens after all. Same as the person who sent the Tribulation that killed the Jade Emperor." Gena whispered after making sure the Mirror blocked any potential spies from listening in. The Unreal pool was pretty safe as a hideaway, but better make sure.

A glint of murderous anger flashed for a fraction through Kalima's eyes, then she sipped her tea with a calmer face. "I thought I got over it, but it seems not."
"A Patriarch then. Or Iron Immortal as they say." the Fay Goddess spoke with a hateful voice, and the Unreal waves rose once more.
"When he asks, just say yes. I want you by our side when we Ascend. And you deserve some happiness as well." Gena said in a final tone, then vanished in a mirror glare that also calmed the Unreal river once more.
On the tea table lay a single piece of paper, with the recipe for a folded omelet written on it.
"Really? Are you trying to make me lose my sanity even sooner?" Kalima muttered as she stored the recipe in her ring. Since when did the user of the Mirror of Samsara cared about cooking recipes?
A pair of leather boots stomped into her pond outside, followed by a pair of elegant sandals. It seemed the Mirror Goddess wasn't playing tricks, after all. Pef had indeed returned, once more carrying mud into her home.
The Fay Godmother sighed inward, then willed the pond to open and carry the visitors inside.
"Lady Kalima! You look...confused? Must be because I'm too handsome now, right?" Pef greeted her with a wide smile and loud voice.
She had to smile. It was impossible not to. The man was a devil.
"Hello, Fay Godmother. I am Vela." the platinum-hair woman beside Pef saluted in a more polite voice.
"Come, sit and tell me everything. Especially about Hualitep." Kalima asked as she offered them a seat at the table. It was great that Gena left it here.
Pef just shrugged and filled the table with fried golith eyes. "I finished the Dao of Cooking with that monster eyes. They also taste very good." he proclaimed in a confident tone. Vela just nodded in agreement, most likely because she also ate some. Quite recently, judging by her new cultivation realm. New Golden Immortals seem to spring out from nothing around Pef...
Kalima took one eye and ate it slowly, and soon realized the things did in fact increase her cultivation realm and more importantly nourished her soul.
Without waiting for her approval, not that Pef ever cared, the man took out a bottle of wine and served both ladies in crystal glasses, then took a long swig from the bottle. Never cared about his own face, that one.
She drank a bit from the wine, and immediately realized it was brewed from the Taotie's own blood. Also imparting dozens of Dao insights in a single sip. "All these, must be quite precious..."
"The wine not so much. I still have a few liters of Taotie blood, and can always go back for more. But there are no more Hualiteps to harvest their eyes." Pef explained in a serious voice.
Kalima sighed. Even the Unreal could not be this absurd. Sadly, reality seem to be a bit broken lately as well. Was she really eating Hualitep's eyes right now? They did taste good...
"So, after I learn the Unreal, wanna join me when I go after the Dragons? I bet they taste great, maybe we can find some eggs as well..." Pef asked in an innocent voice.
Kalima remembered the omelet recipe she had just received.
There will be eggs for sure then. "Sure. It sounds like fun!" she answered. Maybe it was all a dream.

All Stats Random
Un-reality, the greatest game in the century just launched and Chris starts to play it. He wants to change his circumstances, which are through no fault of his own. But fate doesn't let it be that simple. He gets a hidden unique class, but that class has a special ability, one that randomizes all his stats whenever it wants? What? The world truly can't be fair to him. Not even in a game. Now he has to figure out a way to make this odd quirk of his class work. When he smiles, the world loves him. When he laughs, the world fears him. (and that was my stab at trying to imitate those chinese synopses) Regular chapters, once or twice per week. On the weekends usually. I will finish this novel, be it takes 1 year or 2. It will get a proper ending. Afterall, the ending is paramount. Also, the readers might feel rewarded if they look closely while reading. I try to be quite mindful and put in interesting details or things that would come into play later. And, personally i think that reviews on this site might as well be pointless. Unless you know the reviewer and think that you share his views. Your thoughts on a particular thing (like a novel) can differ from others. So, do give it a try before arbitrarily deciding. This is my try to perfect the 'master of all/everything' type of MC, inside a proper, realistic VR world, from a game design perspective and immersion and no convenient 'convert gold to irl currency' button. It is going to be a game first of all. Not a fantasy world overloaden with status screens and skills you can't possibly keep track of. A game with all of the real world aspects to it. Not a cheap fantasy world with shoehorned in stats.
