Day 4,655

Today marks our one-hundredth day away from our homeland.

We celebrated this occasion in a quiet corner of a tavern, all forty of us. Time flew so fast, and many of us never realized until I checked the date. I guess with everything that has happened, the group never bothered to keep track of our time in these lands, except for me and Eina and the research team.

We spent the whole day doing nothing but talk about our lives back home. Most have families waiting for them, especially Eina, and some broke down in tears when they mentioned their parents, lovers, and children—people who probably thought we are all dead.

As for me, I have no one else but my dragon, Aderyn. I have always been a lone wanderer of the world, slaying monsters and beasts wherever there is a mission. And while I do miss the company of my moody partner, she is still a free creature.

Our thoughts went to the main force, and we prayed they had gotten back safely. It has been more than a month now. Calculating the time it took for us to find Arziron, I will assume they have just reached Arlonia in the last few days.

We fervently hope they are okay, and Adren is gathering the force we need. While our life here is quite stable, we are not certain of what will happen when we begin to investigate further. If worse comes to worse, an army at our backs will be our only hope of returning.

It was late evening when we decided to retire for the night. And as I am writing this, I await Eina in my own room, expecting another night of passion. The look she gave me earlier was clear, and I will admit that I already miss her warm body on mine.
