Thuron's king is named Adelor, and he has been ruling the kingdom for nearly fifteen years.

An indirect descendant of Irelda, he currently resides in the capital city, Lasloden, where he rules with benevolence and compassion. Or so we learned. It is quite difficult to truly judge someone based on other people’s opinion. Not to mention, what they portray to one person might be different to what they are showing to another. In this case, Adelor could be the just king his people sees him, but he is cruel to his enemies.

Regardless of the truth, now we know who could be seeking vengeance on us, though we need more information to be certain. Lorain and Filron, two of our best scouts, learned that Adelor’s authority is not even absolute. The Council of Stars, a group of powerful mages, holds the religious sect and has vast influence throughout the kingdom. It could be them who sent the monster horde to Arlonia.

The monster guild is also a prime suspect; they control the monster trade and business across every city, and they are sure to hate Slayers. I have a feeling that they are involved in our plight, especially if they can fully command monster familiars. Moreover, I gathered some rumors saying that each of their leaders has a dragon as a pet.

If only Aderyn, my dragon, were here, I will not feel uneasy. She is strong and old enough to raze this city to the ground. However, I’m not sure if I even want her here for fear of what the Thuronians would do to her once she is captured

So many dangers, so few of us to face them. We need to know more about our enemies and plan carefully our strategies.
