Day 4,600

We have just reached Caltina.

The massive city is even bigger than we had thought, and the distance had fooled us. It is at least twice the size of Arlonia, maybe even larger than Dulram, the Empire’s capital. It was hard to tell in the darkness, but the walls seemed like mountains that loomed over our camp five miles away.

We held a meeting in Adren’s tent for our plans tomorrow. Since there’s a chance that there are monsters inside the city, we have decided to send in a large force of Slayers, soldiers, and some of our strongest battle mages.

The troops’ morale was high during dinner. Higher than it has ever been since we began this mission. At long last, all of our burning questions will finally be answered.

The research team has not made any significant discoveries since they told the story of Lovrhan and Irelda, though the last few pages mentioned that the war raged on until Urnos was utterly destroyed.
