We spotted Caltina some fifty miles even before reaching it.

Anticipation rose among the expeditionary force. For better or worse, we will find all the answers we need in the city, and our journey will be over at last.

We set up camp on a clearing with a collapsed tower in the center, likely another outpost. Our fortifications are heavy this time; our scouts found monster tracks not far from where we are, and by their assessment, it is quite a large group that may be part of a monster horde. We should be ready for an attack any time.

Dinner consisted of black deers we caught yesterday. We stumbled upon a herd of them during our journey, and we were initially shocked by the color of their hides. But their meat was heavenly, and we ate our fill to our heart’s content before we retire to our tents.

In two days, we will find all the answers we need. We have to be ready for whatever may happen.
