In the battlefield in Kanjur, a three-way war was going on. Charles had attacked with his army and it was obvious that he was targetting Raven and Elaine's team. The battle which was on the verge of being decided suddenly reached a stalemate. The main reason being that Michael was able to free himself from Lupin as people from Charles' army took over. This gave him enough bandwidth to focus on the battle going on between Raven, Roger and Elaine. He constantly tried to suppress the two divine children to tilt the battle in Roger's favour. Charles was like a storm on the battlefield, unstoppable as he ploughed through the different armies and came to Michael's side.

Charles : Listen Michael, I have a method to deal with Elaine but I will need your help. Find me a good opportunity!

Michael was very surprised when Charles offered to battle together. If someone said to Michael that he was doing this due to the goodness in his heart, he would never believe the other party.

Michael: He has his agenda. He is targetting Elaine but I can feel that if I agree to his plan, I will be facing great danger! But the situation is not stable and Roger will not be able to hold on for long. What should I do?

Thoughts spun around in his head rapidly as he said:

Michael : Sure! Help me in suppressing the opponents so that I can display the power of my trump-card!

Charles immediately got excited at Michael's reply. This was an extremely well-laid-out plan. He had stalked Elaine for a long time confirming the collaboration between her and Raven. Elaine Silver was the strongest divine child and she was rightfully arrogant. She had come to the plane alone, without an army to support her! Initially, she had tried forcing herself in this plane with her power. As a result, she had been hunted by several churches and several popes were sent to apprehend her. But she had managed to escape every time. As the Churches did not manage to get hold of her, her notoriety in the plane spread and she was currently on the wanted list of all churches. Her bounty was higher than some rank-4 ascendants. She had made a foothold in the plane with only herself. But later, to avoid the constant chase of different churches, she had decided to team up with Raven.

Charles had been following her every move. He had allied himself to one of the zodiacs and become an important member of the heretic organization getting access to the organization's information channels. He had not attracted attention to himself at all. He had even underperformed in the test of combat! He had awakened his bloodline twice already. At his full power, he could battle divine children. But he held back, all for making his plan a success. This was the first time he was doing something drastic since he came to Kanjur. Why? Because he had been targetting Elaine all along. He still remembered the day he had been badly humiliated by Elaine.

The divine children of the same generation tended to form their separate groups. Being a part of that group was a status symbol that not even supreme geniuses could get. Only the greatest geniuses of a generation were qualified to be included. Being included in such a group meant getting the acknowledgement of the greatest geniuses of one's time. This was a traditional practice among divine children. This may not mean much to people who could climb the ladder to the divine realm but more often than not, people failed to do so. In the upper-ascendant realm, divine children ruled on top. While any ordinary genius did not have much hope in reaching the upper-ascendant realm and only great talents reached that realm, even among them, there was a natural pecking order. And divine children were at the top of that pecking order. Thus, if one was accepted in their group, one would have reliable comrades in future and would be able to suppress all under divine. Michael and the rest had no idea about the ways of upper-ascendants and divine children but Charles did. Thus, to join the group of Divine Sea Sect, he had tried his best to cultivate.

But his talent was only decent at best and apart from an incredibly pure bloodline, he did not have any redeeming features. But he was not disheartened and trained to one day obtain recognition of divine children. One time, the patriarch of the Rutherford Clan was visiting the Divine Sea Sect. He decided to bring a few of his talented descendants as well for them to learn from the interaction. This was meant to be a learning experience for all the children as the descendants of Rutherford Clan had yet to interact with other powerful people in the same age group. In the meeting, he had seen Elaine for the first time and had fallen for her at first sight. It was not unusual as she was extremely beautiful. She was way more beautiful than even Ashley. Besides, she had a unique grace that made her even more mesmerizing. It was not only Charles who lost his head at that time. There was someone else.

It was Kelhus Rutherford, another descendant of the Rutherford family. Charles Rutherford had been known to be the progeny of the clan who had the purest bloodline. But he was not the leader of the Rutherford Clan's younger generation, it was Kelhus. Kelhus was much more talented than Charles. His talent was so great that patriarch Rutherford forbade him from participating in the entrance to the Divine Sea Sect. He did not want the sect to claim any ownership of the young expert and had already made up his mind to bring him up as the successor of the clan. Kelhus was around the same age as Charles but he was an ascendant! What did this mean? It meant that he reached the ascendant realm at the age of 20! Kelhus had gone to the Clan's treasure hall and had been chosen by the heavenly-fire. As a result, he was able to comprehend the law of heavenly-fire. And Kelhus Rutherford too fell for Elaine Silver.

Charles was not a match of the divine children. Only someone like Kelhus was worthy of being called a divine genius. Charles, who had grown up like a prince was already jealous of Kelhus' incredible talent. But in that gathering, Elaine had humiliated Charles in front of all them and had him kneel forcibly. The shame of the incident had been branded deep into his then innocent heart and he had been planning for many years to take revenge. What irked him, even more, was that Elaine had later been defeated by Kelhus and ultimately acknowledged him. Eventually, things between them had heated up and they ended up together as a couple. Now, Charles was going to take his sweet revenge. He had scoured many planes to form a powerful aphrodisiac. It was sufficient to even make a law-master go crazy and lose control. He was going to use it on the battlefield. A smile appeared on his lips as he thought about the scene it would create. Elaine would end up fucking multiple men and women on this battlefield. It would cause her reputation to be completely destroyed. Even Kelhus would be slapped in the face. Elaine's willpower would be damaged badly and it would take countless years to heal. As for Michael, Charles was not even interested in him anymore. He had never considered Michael to be a threat.

As soon as Michael replied affirmatively to his plan, Charles was already confident that his plan was going to work.

His subordinates immediately formed a protection circle around Michael preventing any attacks from going through. Michael regulated his breathing before bringing out a star-shaped medal. There were many intricate lines on the medal and Charles knew that this was a treasure of this plane. As he waited, Michael used the treasure pointing towards Elaine. This was the best spatial locking treasure that the Church of Mercy had. Michael had originally brought this to deal with Raven. The effect was instantaneous! Elaine, who was able to move rapidly making use of Raven's blessing suddenly appeared in everyone's vision, shock evident on her face. Roger moved swiftly, not leaving the chance and punched Elaine. He was not even a second late, as his fist closed in on Elaine.

At that moment, Elaine reacted surprisingly quickly, as terrifying energy erupted from throughout her body. This was her self-defence. Even rank-4 ascendants would be hurt badly if they wanted to breach the barrier. But Roger was already in a bad shape. Looking at the situation, he had already figured out that there was no one else that could threaten him except Elaine. Thus, taking the risk of severe injury, he still attacked. And a huge explosion went off sending both Roger and Elaine flying. Roger no longer had his arm while Elaine was spurting blood as she was thrown like a broken ragdoll. The explosion caused almost everyone to end up dead!

Michael felt great pain coming from his body as he frantically called forth the life laws he knew. The explosion would have truly ended him had he been closer. He was suffering from severe injuries, and it would perhaps take many days of recuperation along with expensive pills to heal completely. The might of the explosion was much greater than what rank-4 beings should be capable of! Michael felt like he had miscalculated the power of rank-4, but it did not make sense to him. Roger had not only lost his arm but also many of his law marks. How could a rank-4 practically destroy another rank-4? He frantically searched for Ambrose only to find him badly injured, bleeding from several injuries and all his orifices. He was barely alive.

Michael: Thank Goodness, I asked him to be on the outer perimeters or else he would have died without a doubt!

As Michael tried to get his bearings, he saw a figure at the spot of the explosion. An old man was standing there, badly injured. He was bathed in blood and in his eyes, Michael could see monstrous anger. His intuition screamed at him to run away! Whoever the man was, he was no good news. The man was holding Charles in his hand as Charles struggled with his feet in the air. Michael could see that the man was not only suffocating his body but his soul and conscient as well!

Michael: A psychic! And an upper-ascendant!

Michael tried to move away but he bumped into something. As he looked down below, he saw a teenager, badly injured and currently unconscious. Michael was stunned.

Michael: Alexis?! What is she doing here?

Little did he know that he had stepped into a scheme set by divinities.

Extremely far away from Kanjur, in Jupyter, the divinities of the Divine Sea Sect were all engaged in their own business. The entire world seemed to be ending as the law ocean churned with massive waves. It was as if the law ocean itself was going to be torn apart. Laws were created and destroyed as the very fabric of reality became unstable. This was the sort of power only a high-rank divinity could use. The shockwaves from the disturbance engulfed Perseus and would have been deadly but a divine treasure came alive at the last moment. The power of this treasure kept his surroundings calm and saved him from a terrible fate. Perseus was not the target of the slash or else he would have been obliterated without a thought. This was the power of an overlord! Nothing could compare to the slash, even the void trembled. Mysteries of creation and destruction revealed themselves in full glamour as the law ocean was refined by the power of the slash. The passageway had been created by one of the most powerful beings in the dominion - Historia Pendragon. But it still could not handle the might of this slash as the passageway started to crumble. Perseus could only watch on in horror, not knowing what had transpired.

At the same time, in the plane of Kanjur, a group of people were surrounding a teenager, Alexis Reeves. Alexis was known to be one of the brightest divine children among the group. She had inherited the sacred destroyer bloodline from her father, who was a very powerful divinity in another dominion. It was a bloodline that could easily be ranked among the top human bloodlines not just in Jupyter but the entire Heaven Empire. It was so powerful that even a single awakening would push her to the realm of law masters. If one could awaken the bloodline 5 times, one would become a true god! Alexis was very young and hadn't activated her bloodline even once. Even so, she was quite powerful and could easily suppress rank-1 ascendants. But this was her potential and not her strength. Her source of strength lied in her divine blessing - Chosen of Fate. It allowed her to gather luck from all around her, making her incredibly lucky. One might think that this was nothing impressive, but the people surrounding her seemed to think differently. They had created an extremely complicated formation around her as they were aiming to suppress her. All her subordinates had been killed off and she was alone against hundreds of powerful cultivators. But surprisingly, there was no fear in her eyes. As the spatial channel had become unstable, her attempts to leave the place had been nullified. If there was anyone else in this situation, they would be panicking.

Alexis : You guys know already that you will end up failing. My blessing is failsafe. You are only going to shoot yourselves in the foot.

But her opponents were not in the mood to chat. They began starting the formation. Alexis had no idea what the formation would do but she did not like where things were going. These were not normal ripples but spatial ripples. As the spatial ripples spread, a portal opened revealing an old man. He was wearing a black robe and covering his face with a mask. I have finally reached you, Alexis Reeves. You are the ideal candidate for my rebirth! With your bloodline, I will be able to reach the divine realm that I could not reach in this life!

Alexis : Haha. You are a delusional nobody. Do you know who my mother is?

I am acquainted, yes. But you have to do somethings no matter the price!

He tried to grab Alexis' head with his outstretched bony hand but before his hand could reach her, her space ring shone! Inside her space ring, there was a metal token that had been given to her by one of the zodiacs. There was a rumour that it contained the clue spatial cave of a law master of space laws. No one had ever found the cave. What people did not know was that the token itself was the cave! The law master had created his inheritance and sealed it in his family token in the hope that if his family ever produced a genius who could grasp the laws of space, he would be able to find the inheritance. The family had long since been destroyed. Alexis had kept the token in her space ring, never giving it any thought. But unknowingly, the space inside the token and the space ring were in a constant tussle. And at this point of time, the space inside the token collapsed along with the inheritance. But the collapse of space sent out spatial ripples that caused her space ring to become unstable. Before she could even understand anything, space interacted in mysterious ways engulfing her.

The old man had controlled many things but still, how could one control luck? But he knew his opponent and was ready for any unexpected events. He immediately jumped into the spatial tear tracing Alexis with a psychic thread. This was incredibly dangerous. Even law masters would end up dead! But the old man did not care at all. Because he was beyond a law master. He was currently rank-6 ascendant. But even for him, the spatial tear was not something easy to navigate. And his luck was horrible as he had to face countless space storms. These storms ended up injuring him heavily and his body was bathed in blood. But he was a rank-6 ascendant and had abundant law marks. Alexis, on the other hand, somehow managed to cross the spatial tear smoothly. Thus, by the time he managed to follow the girl all the way, he was badly injured. As soon as he exited the interspace layer, he was met with two extremely powerful attacks from both sides. He would not have felt much had he been at his best but that was not the case. The attacks both hit him destroying another few law marks. This caused rage to reach his head as he exploded with his entire cultivation base.

In his anger, he failed to notice colourless vapours that had been absorbed into his body. Before he could calm his mind, he found himself having the biggest erection he had in his life! His body and soul were annoyingly sensitive right now. As he checked his condition, he felt anger bubbling again! He saw Charles who had been sent flying by the explosion connected to him by a trail of colourless gas. He stretched his hand and Charles was hurled back into his grip!

Charles had been completely confident of his plan, considering all possibilities. As soon as Elaine had appeared in his view, he had shot off to get closer to her. The aphrodisiac was in the form of a chemical tablet that would turn into vapour under pressure. The vapour was extremely effective as it would be absorbed in one's body and soul causing a lust that would be hard to quench. The effect was known to be instantaneous as well. Charles had already taken the antidote and was in the clear. As he threw the tablet towards Elaine and the heretic law master, the world exploded. The shockwave caused his bones to shatter and his flesh to be torn off. His entire body felt as if it was sent through a grinder. He knew that he was facing a dire situation. Just as his body was about to collapse with irreparable damage, he burned his bloodline essence. The power of his world-tree bloodline ignited boosting his lifeforce. By the time the explosion subsided, he had lost a significant amount of bloodline essence, bringing down his combat strength to the level of a rank-1 ascendant. But before he could relax, he felt himself being pulled. His head was soon grabbed by a bony hand but try as he might, he simply could not budge. Slowly, he felt a suffocating pressure not only in his body but also in his soul! He frantically tried to transfer himself with the spatial passageway of the sect, but he could not! He felt as if his entire world was tumbling. Just a few seconds ago, he was completely confident in his plan, but now he was dying slowly and painfully. This was too great a change! This was the last thought that Charles ever had.

Michael saw Charles die before his own eyes and he did not have even the slightest thought about resisting. He could see that the other party was a powerful upper-ascendant and a bonafide psychic. He was not qualified to resist! Michael thought about the spell that had been engraved into his soul that would let him use the spatial pathway but did not use it. He was not here alone. He could not leave without Ambrose! Michael would have been fine running away if he only had to leave behind Denise but Ambrose was family. Seeing the old man look towards him, he felt all the hair on his body stand erect in danger. But he simply summoned back his sword, raised his hands and kneeled on the ground. He knew that this was a life and death situation. If it was a normal upper-ascendant, there might have been a chance to escape with psychic possession. But in front of this terrifying psychic, none of his tricks would work. Thus, he simply kneeled and looked over at the ghostly old man who seemed to be giving him a creepy smile.
