The 32 selected students were standing in a row in the large arena and the different experts of the tower were standing around in a huge circle. Most of these experts were in perfect realm but many were in the immortal realm as well. These were the core elders of the tower. As they went through the ceremony, the laws of the plane were simulated as they came down to bless the ceremony. The grand and resplendent laws baptized the students standing there. It gave a boost to all the student's cultivation!

Ceremonies like this were very rare and were carried out only on very special occasions. After the ceremony came to an end, each of the selected students was given a medallion that was bound to them with their blood. It was a medallion that was the proof of identity of the true disciples of the tower. Only the person who the medallion belonged to could get it to activate. The students also had their life lamps built.

These life lamps were created through the discipleship ceremony. These lamps would still be around as long as these students were alive. Only when the laws of the plane confirmed the death of these people would these lamps shatter! This was something that first class powers could do in Aterna. Humans did not have the capability to create life lamps as it required multiple immortals to perform the ceremony.

After the discipleship ceremony was over, there were fireworks in the sky and several experts from the tower came forward to congratulate the new students. From now on, these students were part of the light tower. They could represent the tower.

The tower would usually not participate in politics of the races but there was a tower representative in almost all territories of the empire. These representatives were all true disciples of the tower. And while they hardly did anything - their responsibilities being protecting the territory of the empire and sending information about the happenings to the tower, they held very high status among the populace.

A tower true disciple was close to being a noble. While Michael, Samuel, Azeer and Mark were already nobles and the status was not all that important to them, Ramsus was a commoner. But now, in any territory of the light empire, he would be treated as a high rank noble. It was not easy to obtain status in Aterna. Only perfect and immortal experts were capable of achieving status on their personal power. The ones below them only obtained nobility when they had formidable backing. Duke Rageberg was a noble because he was backed was the human court. Similarly, Dracus Ming despite being very powerful was not a noble.

But now, Ramsus was a noble! His social standing was greater than Dracus Ming because he was backed by the light tower.

After the ceremony was completed, the tower experts started calling out to the students they felt were full of potential to become their personal disciples. Omar had already made it very clear that Ramsus was his disciple and thus, no one tried to steal his disciple.

Many experts asked Ashley and Kandrif who both selected immortal realm experts from their own race. But, no one was inviting Michael.

They did not dare do! Michael's performance was simply too shocking. And, these experts were waiting for Karslon to signal. Although there were many immortals in the tower, Karslon was heralded as the strongest of the empire and was the headmaster for a reason.

In the middle of different invitations, Karslon asked Michael, his voice booming to the entire crowd:

Karslon : Michael Rageberg. You are very talented! But I can see that you are a hard-worker and also have a formidable heart. While I may not be the strongest expert in Aterna, I do believe myself to be fairly knowledgeble. I can help you in your path further. Tell me, are you willing to be my personal disciple?

Michael : Yes Senior! I, Michael Rageberg accept you as my teacher and will not betray you as long as you don't betray me!

Saying so, Michael kneeled to accept Karslon's offer.

This had a profound impact on the crowd.

Karslon Dumbledore was known to have a liking for talents and he had helped many experts when they were young including Kevin. But this was different from accepting them as a personal disciple. In fact, this was the first time he was accepting someone as a disciple!

Michael was ecstatic. He had done it! He was not certain that Karslon would truly be moved and accept him. Thus, he had decided that he would keep on pestering Karslon in case Karslon did not accept him as a personal disciple. He would take his time to gain the expert's attention. But now, a lot of work had disappeared. Now, he could talk with Karslon about boosting the defences of the empire and even the entire plane.

It was the position that Michael had been trying to obtain from his rebirth. This was his first goal. Now, as long as he could convince Karslon, the first part of his plan would be executed successfully. And he knew just the perfect way to convince Karslon.

The crowd were giving different reactions to the event. Collins and the rest were naturally very excited. Karslon was that big a deal. Even Emperor Atrexia was feeling pleased. This had given humanity a defence line. But, he felt threatened at the same time. Michael's influence in the future would easily surpass him and the day Michael had sufficient power, it would be the day that human leadership would change hands.

Desborn was not much power hungry but he was still unwilling to hand over the reins of power to Ragebergs. The Empress, on the other hand, was even more chilled. The task of assassination had just turned considerably harder. This caused her to feel a frenzy. She truly wanted to kill Michael any way possible. But, if Karslon found out by any means, she would die like a dog even if she was the human empress. This naturally caused her to feel fear.

As the different experts involved were thinking of different things, Karslon was thinking a simple thing:

This kid is too fearsome! He is the perfect choice for a disciple. I also have to make sure that he does not get a chance to tell others about the incident during the second test!

Among the different reactions and celebrations, the entire event came to an end. There would be a huge banquet in the night to formally end the entire event. Early tomorrow, the experts would all leave and only the selected students would remain beginning their new life as the tower's true disciples.

All people retracted to their quarters. They then enjoyed the festivities and the stores opened all around the tower.

Michael felt a heavy load off his mind. He had achieved a milestone in his plan and was quite happy at the moment. Thus, he enjoyed wholeheartedly with his family. He visited different shops, bought different things, ate different food and enjoyed different shows and attractions. He spent time with Jerome, Reez and Paul as well. These three had also gotten very close to him in the past few days. They were also very happy that they made a lot of money and had felt that they were also contributors to Michael's historic deed - becoming the king of geniuses!

This was Michael's new title that was going to spread across Aterna in the coming days and even the dark empire would have to accept the title.

With all the happiness of those around him, Michael's conviction about becoming powerful grew more and more. His dao was progressing at a stunning rate. It would only be revealed in the future what this would lead to.
