Damien sat with Velco in his surprisingly spacious cabin. A little glass-fronted cabinet filled with pieces of bone carved into elaborate shapes or with detailed seascapes inlaid into them sat against the back wall. Damien perched on the edge of the captain’s bed while Velco reclined in the room’s sole chair. A small fold-up table occupied one corner. Beside it rested a two-shelf bookcase filled with charts and logbooks. On a small table rested a tray covered with dried meat, biscuits, and some sort of withered fruit. Damien found no poison, but still had no particular desire to eat any of it. Even the red wine in his battered tin cup smelled sour.
Damien took a nibble of dried meat just to be polite. “Why did you risk a fight with my master just to avoid telling her your intentions?”
Velco tore a chunk out of his meat. “I wanted to see what she was made of. I have to admit I was impressed. Would she have sunk us if I continued on without answering her?”
“No, she would have had me do it.”
Velco laughed and almost choked on his half-chewed food. When the captain could breathe again he said, “You don’t mince words do you?”
“I’m a warrior, not a politician. If I have something to say, I say it.”
“Ha! You and I are going to get along. How far to this island of yours?”
“I could fly there in half an hour, but sailing, maybe a day or two. I admit I have little experience with ships. Do you really think you can kill the Leviathan?”
“The sorcerers I’ve spoken with assure me their plan will work. No guarantees of course, but they seemed confident.”
“I don’t suppose you’d care to share?” Damien took another nibble of meat. If it took two days to reach the island he’d have to stomach the food for a little while.

Velco devoured a biscuit, mold and all. “Your master tell you to ask?”
Damien smiled. “Not in so many words, but she’d be disappointed in me if I didn’t try.”
“I hate to dash your hopes, but I don’t exactly understand the process myself. Something about suppression and negation. I can pilot a ship, plot a course, or kill a whale, but sorcery is beyond me. When the time comes I’ll do what they tell me and hope for the best.”
Damien shook his head. The captain had taken too big a risk to pin it all on hoping for the best. He either knew more than he let on or was desperate. Looking at the man Damien thought it might be a combination of both.
“Why risk it? This trip, hunting a dragon, my master’s wrath. What’s so awful in the Old Empire that you would make such a gigantic gamble?”
“Awful? On the contrary, things couldn’t be better. The guild’s business is doubling every five years. We’re rolling in gold.”
Damien just stared, not understanding. “And?”
“And what we’re not rolling in is whales. We’ve nearly hunted the safe areas clean. If we want to continue working we need to hunt out in the deep water where the big pods live.”
“And the whales aren’t the only big thing that lives in the deep ocean.”
“Yes, and the dragon doesn’t take kindly to us hunting in its territory. We’ve sent three flotillas out and only one came back with oil. The others vanished without a trace. The guild lost five hundred men combined on those ships. We can’t convince new crews to sign up unless we guarantee only shallow water hunting.”
“Right. You eliminate the Leviathan and a whole ocean opens up to you.”
“Exactly. This is our way of life. If we can’t find new hunting grounds we lose everything. I’ve staked it all on keeping our lifestyle going.”
“Including your life?”
“Including my life.”

A fantasy LitRPG filled to the brim with soul summoning and all things soulmancy. Mat couldn't have known he'd wake up with a full suit of armor. He was half expecting a crippling hangover, and the other half a face full of drawn penises. When he saw the dead bodies on the ground, it finally dawned on him he wasn't anywhere close to home. Not one bit. Things happened after the next, and after hours on end he found himself facing off against a giant of a beast out in the middle of the woods. Things were getting weirder and weirder by the day, but he was determined to make it through and hold on in this new world he magically found himself in. Tethered
Noah Fel was a [Ritualist] for the Collegium. As a professor, his daily routine consisted largely of grading papers, writing apprentice recommendations, and helping to ensure that his students didn't blow themselves up. I've never done this before, but I've got this neat leather-bound notebook and a will to write, so let's have an adventure! If I do write something stupid, inconsistent, or strange, however... please do call me out on it?I love well-meaning corrections, they're one of the best ways I could improve! With all that out of the way, the author will sit here and transition into talking in the 3rd person while on break. It's the only time he's able to write. Paradigm Shift - New Beginnings
The known universe is facing an invasion from a foe that can rewrite the natural laws and that will destroy everyting we know. Derrick is ripped from his world and sent to the newest incursion point of an enemy he doesn't even know exists. He is the hail mary or kitchen sink of the universe and it will be up to him to adapt to his new world and become strong enough to survive and to save the universe. ********* Author's Note ********* This is my first published book so feedback would be appreciated. A couple of caveats. First this story is about the details, if you don't enjoy reading and finding the easter eggs or just like to speed read through the chapters you will probably not enjoy it. Second for those that do not like the Harem tag I just want to state that this is going to be a matriarchal society and the women will outnumber the men 5-1. That being the case and because of the culture that I imagine would arise from this I felt it fair to put that tag out there. However, the main character isn't going to be picking up women left and right. This is not a typical harem story. Image was googled so I have no rights to it

Destiny: Infernal [DISCONTINUED]
Have you ever felt like you are the greatest outcast ever to exist? As if someone, something out there, made you from the ground up in order to create the Ultimate Social Exile? I have. Too talented to be part of normal society. Too dumb to be part of abnormal society. This, is me. I am Alice Pendragon, a semi-insane, incredibly anti-social, nine year old noble girl in a world which seems to despise her. School finally ended, summer's first day arrived... I should be happy, right? And yet here I am, going back home just in time for my Fathers very own funeral. ... And the dream which I'm about to have isn't going to help my sanity. At all. IMPORTANT: This story, like my EUPHORIA, will have highly erotic content. (No, there won't be any little girls having sex. The world in general will be sexually free.) Lemons will be made, but only later on in the story when the MC is older. IMPORTANT X2: This story will need a cover picture! Any takers, please send me a PM if you're willing and able. IMPORTANT X3: My stories are not rated 18. They are RATED MATURE ADULT. If you can't handle adult things, don't read the story. That said, if you've ever watched Family Guy and weren't offended by it, then you're probably mature enough for my stories.
