《The Beginning, The End, And Everything In Between》Chapter 13 [The Plan of a Lifetime]

King Elro POV
The past week has been chaotic, first I learned of 3 different noble families leading a rebellion but I am unable to arrest them for treason without letting my spies be known of , then a village on the border was found to be in a disgusting state with each villager dead and positioned in disturbing ways.
The worst part was that none of the teams sent could eliminate the grotesque visage, a barrier of some sorts with unknown strength had been erected that allowed them to enter but teams were unable to touch, move or destroy anything. After multiple attempts and several A ranked and one S ranked teams I decided to proclaim it an a {Broken Zone} which added one to the 5 that currently existed in the whole world.
And then this morning I had received news of the Greensen Forest being burned down by one of the highest tier fire magic , me and multiple advisers agree that the two most recent incidents are most likely caused by the same person, we assume he is an adept Fire Mage and has killed before, from the experience he showed in his killings and magic he must be at least 40 years old or higher. I can only assume one of those damned demons did this, saying that openly could start a war, but I knew my advisors were thinking the same thing.
The investigation was ongoing and so far all witnesses we could have had are dead or missing except one, the only body missing in that village according to the village records is Jonathan Reva, our searches for him are leading to dead ends. For now all towns and villages have been put on high alert. Product from the Greensen forest like the animals or plants that were of value are now gone so merchants are needing to find new Hunter Guilds from different areas to trade with, many cities nearby have lost vital wares. All this leads back to me having to deal with them.
Whoever he is, we'll catch him soon.
3rd Person POV
Farren and Xavier eventually reached the city wall, even though it wasn't the capital city the walls were almost 50 metres tall and were a covered in banners and posters advertising shops that were within the place, some were just small flyers that were on the guard station and others were massive leather and painted signs hanging from the wall with rope advertising blacksmiths or jewellers, the biggest one was above the gate and read 'Creon Academy'. It was obvious that the academy was the biggest business here, next to it in a slightly smaller banner was 'Creon City Adventurers Guild', these two were the giants of the city and ruled it, you could see certain young people carrying an arrogance with a blue and black robe uniform, they were between 8-16 years of age and went right by the guard station without showing their ID like the rest of the people in line.

"Are they all this arrogant Xavier?" [Farren]
"Pretty much, they academies both pamper their students, Creon pampers less and focuses on training more but nonetheless the students... how do I put this delicately... are all arrogant stuck up assholes" [Xavier]
"I see..." Farren slowly formed a wide grin on her face, she may have used her magic to cover up most of her abnormalities but no amount of magic could make her grin less creepy. The people in front of Farren felt shivers up their spines, when they looked back all they saw was a girl with odd hair and a beautiful face plus a handsome elf right across from her, many looks of confusion turned to disdain once they saw Xavier and his ears, no longer caring about how attractive he looked.
"I like these people" [Farren]
"They all hate me..."
"Yeah but I'm glad it's not one of those societies where if someone is handsome or beautiful they will overlook anything they did or are, I'm just glad they have standards you know?" [Farren]
"I can't even look at you right now!, not only are you talking like a full grown adult and it's extremely disturbing seeing a child talk like that but you are so messed up in the head to have that logic! I am honestly wondering whether to laugh or cry" [Xavier]
"I think I'm fine! and Steven, Rebecca, Larry and Ronan all agree too!" [Farren]
"Who are they?" [Xavier]
"The voices in my head~" [Farren]
"Of course they are" Xavier replied in a dry tone, he was never quite sure if Farren was joking or not about these things.
After a few hours they finally got to the station, a very bitter middle aged man was waiting for them. He spoke in a tone that made him sound like he had just given up on the world.
"Identification and/or Guild Card?" [Very Bitter Guard]
Xavier pulled out his Guild Card and ID, he handed it to the guard hoping he wouldn't ask about Farren, children were often allowed to enter free of inspection. The guards and people didn't exactly expect them to be smart or strong enough to destroy the city or overthrow the ruling authority.
The guard was taking his sweet time checking Xavier's passport and finished after 8 minutes of absolute silence from all three people. He took a glance at Farren's hair and grunted, odd hair was common with mixed breeds or fairies but neither of those races tended to be dangerous, the jerked his head towards the gate and signaled for the next person to come.
Farren and Xavier walked through the gate and entered the city, it was teeming with colourful market stalls and red brick housing, it looked like there was a festival going on in this area of the city. As they walked through trying to find inn many merchants and stall owners called out to them for a variety of produce and items, there was a range of things from swords to hairpins and odd fruits like a Pena, which is like an apple except yellow and spotted with mottled red, to a Rec which was not comparable to any fruit Farren had even known in her previous world, it came with a green variety and a blue one. It was juicy but very bitter and looked like a grapefruit, an eggplant and a banana had a threeway and the banana had somehow given birth to the love child of all three. It was in simplest terms, an oblong shape.

As the two patrolled down the streets Xavier pointed out a sign that said 'Rolling Pig Inn'. They went inside only to be met with a heavy mood, the whole place was filled with people that were so muscled their skin looked like it can't fit anymore, the two most heavily muscled people were glaring at each other while others watched in suspense, a bell then rang from the counter. It was Farren, who was not paying any heed to the mood.
"Hello? Helloooooo?" She kept on ringing the counter bell until another hulking mass with curly red hair came down the stairs and behind the desk" [Farren]
"Can I help you little girl?" [Weird Hulky Mass]
"Yeah, I need a room with two beds"
The mass of muscle raised an oddly muscled eyebrow but said nothing, it probably had a different thought on who would be talking to it, namely the actual adult instead of the little girl.
"Sure, we got one on the third floor, that'll be 3 silver, you want a bath ya have ta pay 1 silver extra.
"Xavier~ I want a bath~ Pleeaaaasseee~"
Farren played her role as a child perfectly, the Actress title she had helped.
"Fine, fine
Now take it and don't ruin the fight that was about to happen again, I want to see my husband beat the shit out of Greff" [Weird Hulky Female Mass]
Farren and Xavier were shocked, although for different reasons. Farren was stunned at how the thing in front of her was a woman, and Xavier was shocked because he recognised the person the apparent woman had just talked about, the man facing off against this Greff was a well known A rank by the name of 'Red Fist', he used only his fists to beat his opponent and it always ended up messy.
"Psstt, Farren" Xavier whispered to Farren.
"What?" [Farren]
"That guy who is about to fight Greff... he was once in a party with me and we bonded pretty well so I'm going to talk to him, don't wait up" [Xavier]
"Okay, you two lovebirds go talk, I want to go to sleep and tomorrow we will infiltrate the Academy" [Farren]
"We're not like that! You know that's not what I meant..." [Xavier]
Farren walked off, mute to Xavier's protests. He turned around and headed towards Red Fist's fight. Fists were flying everywhere, some movements looked skillful and some looked clumsy, Xavier had high agility and avoided some stray fists and thrown objects. When he got closer Xavier realised the clumsy movements were from Red Fist.
"Red! It's Xavier! Wanna grab a drink?" Xavier shouted this over the crowd that was gathering, all the muscles blocked his way but Red Fist stopped the fight and walked over, groans of disappointment resounded among the crowd.
"AHAHAHA Xavier! I didn't know you were in this city... you certainly look different"
"Ah, yeah that's a long story, I can't really tell you but I came across someone who is both good luck and some bad luck although I am surprised you actually recognised me" [Xavier]
"How could I not remember an old friend's voice at least? Don't underestimate my ears" [Red]
"Hahaha, not much can make up for your face though!" [Xavier]
"AHAHA I should get your person to remodel my face! But if you can't tell me who they are I guess I'll have to give up on that dream ..." [Red]
"Yup, trust me you don't want to meet her..." [Xavier]
"ANYWAY, enough with all the gloomy business we need a drink to celebrate one of the most famous A rank pair being reunited! A ROUND FOR EVERYONE IT'S ON ME" [Red]
The whole place cheered.
"Are you sure you can afford that?" [Xavier]
"Yup, I own this place you know? I moved on from adventuring when I met my lovely Matilda" [Red]
The mass of muscle at the counter waved at the pair, Xavier now understood Farren's disgust when Matilda gave a wink over to Red... even her eyelids looked like the had abs.
"Ah! Xavier we should have a drinking contest! Just like the old days!" [Red]
And thus began a night that Xavier will never remember.
Meanwhile, Farren had entered her room. It was fairly decent with two beds and cotton sheets, Farren jumped onto the first bed to find the mattress was hard, luckily she always preferred hard mattresses because they were good for her posture.
She lay down and eventually dozed off after counting corpses in her head.
"Hello Farren, it's been a while" [God]
Farren was once again in the Garden of Impossible Colours, God sat in the villa and gestured to the seat next to him.
"We need to talk" [God]

How I Became The Strongest Sovereign
In a world governed by physical power, strength and Magical Ability, James finds himself at the top of the hierarchy with everything a man could ask for: Money, Friends, Political Power and Freedom.
8 1078An Unwavering Craftsman
Given the hereditary nature of classes, everyone expects Damien—the child of two high-tiered adventurers—to be granted a high-tier combat class of his own. Expectations are betrayed, however, when Damien finds himself instead saddled with a crafting class of the lowest possible tier: [Neophyte Tailor]. Left practically crippled compared to those with better classes, Damien wants to avoid becoming a pawn in the machinations of the nobility, desiring only to grind his level in peace while wondering why the usual rules of inheritance were broken. Was it his desire to excel by his own effort, rather than an unearned blessing from a god? Did the Five take offence at his opinions on the unfairness of hereditary classes? Or maybe it was something to do with the alien voice that intruded on his ceremony? A voice that offers great power, and freedom from the tyranny of the Five, but that never names its price. This story is litRPG-lite. While the class someone possesses controls most of their lives, people don't get dinged at for every level they gain, nor can they see their status without undergoing a special ritual. The MC has no romantic interest. Crafting is merely a way to game the system, and doesn't feature heavily in the story, aside from a few descriptions on how they're carrying out the system abuse. There is, on one unfortunate occasion, maths. The pace is quick. This was a participant in the Spring 2022 writathon. (i.e. it was posted as-written at high speed. I may give it another editing pass in the future.)
8 182Yuusha Isekai! Youjo Suki!
When Elijah, thirty year old civil servant, open lolicon, and anime otaku finds himself in a new world rather than snuggled up to his Flan-chan Dakimakura, whatever will he do? Will his genre savvy and surprisingly unspectacular cheat be able to save the kingdom, and its cute (if dumb) juvenile princess? Or will he go down in a blaze of foolish glory like the ikemen before him?>> This novel is now dead. It will no longer receive updates. [This is a crazy parody novel, by the way. The goal is a good isekai harem story minus the beta JP MC, but adding unique girls that outgrow their stereotypes, whilst making fun of the genre and popular anime and game culture at large.]
8 829Gods and Glory
What is Right? And what is Wrong? It's the hypocrisy of history written by victors. The Gods are good, the Devil is evil or so we've been told. Those who oppose the rulers in this world shall be persecuted and entitled evil, for they might shatter the false peace established. There never will be true peace, only coexistence. For to live is to devour; To devour is to deplete that which is consumed. This is the fact of life. What makes a Hero? Who deems what deeds be called 'Heroic'? Saving the world? Being chosen by a God? Unbelievable Power and Skill? Spirit of Self-sacrifice? Or Devotion and Bravery? Who knows? Our protagonist shall play the part, starting over again to correct her mistakes. Pit against the tides of fate, struggling to change the future. Her nemesis, victim of a cruel life and the irresponsibility of adults. Sights set on revenge, now he crawls his way back, looking for blood. Watch the contest between wits and brawn, as they fight their way up to victory. In the end, who will prevail? Noble or Peasant? The Hero or the Devil? Mortal versus Immortal. This is a story of Sin, a tale of Trust, a novel of Nobleness, and a chronicle of Magic. ~ fin ~ "I will write my way into another life." - Ann Patchett - Hello everyone~!!! ~(???)/~ Ballisti here. I hope you had a good time reading! This is my very first book, but I've spent quite the time writing and editing this. So I'm a tad bit confident with this. Sadly, I'm only able to put up 2 chapters weekly. The reason is...I'm still a student. School is hard, annoying and a hassle but necessary. So I'm really sorry for the slow updates, but please bear with me~!(?-?-?) I hope you enjoy reading this ('cuz I sure as hell had so much fun writing this ( • ??•? )). Thanks~! 8 235I don't love
This will pretty much be a story about Steve and Natasha and their relationship. This is my second story and I hope you'll enjoy it. I'll do my best.
8 190To Save A Little Hope (On Hold) An Aphmau Crossover. Mystreet, MCD, and ????
My first story! This is about two series Mystreet and MCD crossing over to a dimension nobody has heard of to find help to solve their problems. What will happen to them? How will they react to how different each other's worlds are? And will they find what they are looking for? (This was written after Season 6 of Mystreet) ( The version of MCD I'm using is the remake, Episode 9)
