Gu-Hai was horrified.
His entire forehead was covered in cold sweat and his pale face look as if he had seen a ghost. Staring fearfully at Jin Xia, who had barely even moved, Gu-Hai felt his heart turn cold.
To meet such a high expert, yet unable to even recognize the person was already bad enough. But Gu-Hai had even stupidly tried to attack him! And now, he most likely had offended the other party…
Gu-Hai cursed at himself in his head. How could I have been so blind?
But it was too bad this world does not have a pill for regret. What was done had already come to past.
“Y-you dare to injure me! D-do you think you can get away with this!”
Struggling to stay calm, Gu-Hai tried intimidated the other party in hopes of the latter leaving. He believed even if the other person was stronger than him, he/she may not be that much stronger. After all, there are very few truly strong cultivators who would even think of coming to Tian City.
But contrary to his expectation, Gu-Hai saw Jin Xia began to walk towards him instead of leaving.
“H-huh? W-what do you think you’re doing? W-wait! Please! It was a slip of tongue…I-I promise not to pursue this matter! Ah! Help! Somebody help!”
Gu-Hai, realizing that he was alone, started to persuade Jin Xia to stop his advance. But when he realized that mysterious man did not listen, he began to panic as he called for help.
Just as Jin Xia was ten steps away from Gu-Hai, who was leaning on the wall behind him, a loud elderly voice rang out.
“Esteemed guest, please stop!”
Jin Xia stopped his advance when a white-haired elder in gray robe leaped in between him and Gu-Hai. At the same time, Gu-Hai who saw the elder let out a breath of relief as his racing heart slowed.

The elder’s face looked capable, his eyes were confident and steady. He had an air of importance around him.
Seeing that Jin Xia had ceased his steps, the elder cleared his voice before speaking out.
“I am Hei Mo, the manager of Azure Sky Auction. When I heard a loud commotion coming from here I immediately rushed over, but I did not expect to see such a scene. Esteemed guest, if Gu-Hai had offended you earlier, I ask you on behalf of my Azure Sky Auction House to show mercy and forgive him. I will be sure to strictly discipline him afterwards.”
The elder named Hei Mo spoke in a steady tone as his eyes radiated confident.
Although he was slightly shocked when he had saw the heavily injured Gu-Hai, Hei Mo still remained calm. After all, while Gu-Hai may have been a 6th stage Wudan practitioner, he was still much much weaker than Hei Mo.
And naturally, Hei Mo was addressing Jin Xia with respect because even if Gu-Hai may be weak, to be able to injure him without being hurt could be considered quite strong. At least, the strange cloaked person standing before him did not look so simple.
But the elder had full confidence that he would be able to handle the mysterious masked man in front of him. And his confidence was not ill-becoming.
In terms of status, Hei Mo was the head of Azure Sky Auction House, a being who was only slightly inferior to the other four major clans in the city.
In terms of power, he was a great cultivator at the 7th stage of Wudan.
But in front of Jin Xia, this type of miniscule influence had no effect.
“So it is the head manager. At the start, I had only come here to sell off a few items at the auction, but that dog over there not only denied my entrance but insulted me as well. But I am not a petty person. If the head manager agrees to two of my conditions, I vow not to pursue this problem with your Azure Sky Auction. Will you accept?”

Hearing Jin Xia’s reply, manager Hei Mo slightly furrowed his eyebrows. This was the first time someone had actually neglected his words and even dared to strike up conditions with him in a situation such as this.
But as the head manager, Hei Mo had to keep his temper. In the end, knowing Gu-Hai’s arrogant personality, it was most likely the latter who had offended the masked person.
With a forced smile, manager Hei Mo said in a calm voice.
“That is no problem at all. I accept your conditions. Speak, what do you want?”
Behind his mask, Jin Xia faintly smiled as he stared at Hei Mo.
“It’s very simple actually. For the first condition, I would like head manager Hei Mo to help me sell off a few items during the auction, as soon as possible. As for the second…”
Jin Xia’s voice trailed off.
“Hm? I will definitely be able to grant your first condition, so naturally I will do the same for the second one. Feel free to continue.”
Manager Hei Mo said in a confident voice as he looked at Jin Xia.
Underneath the fox mask, a mischievous grin had appeared on Jin Xia’s face.
“For my second condition, I will need Gu-Hai to die.”
The moment Jin Xia finished talking, his dark figure flickered once as he directly bypassed Hei Mo. It was only after Jin Xia disappeared from his sight, did Hei Mo register the other party’s words.
Hei Mo quickly twisted his body around only to see In Jin Xia standing in front of a frightened Gu-Hai.
“NO!” The elder shouted as he contracted his leg muscles to its full power and leaped towards Jin Xia.
While Hei Mo felt that Jin Xia was a bit abnormal when he first saw him, the moment Hei Mo saw that Gu-Hai was about to die, he couldn’t help but strike out in desperation.
But it was of no use.
Before Hei Mo could stop him, Jin Xia struck out a white-gloved palm at Gu-Hai which landed squarely on his chest. With this attack, Gu-Hai’s chest caved inward as he smashed deeper into the wall.
Gu-Hai’s eyes opened wide in disbelief as he would never have thought that he would die, even under the watch of his head manager…
Just as Jin Xia’s palm smacked Gu-Hai, manager Hei Mo arrived as his hands scrunched up into an eagle-like claw, honing in towards Jin Xia’s back.
But Jin Xia did not even bother turning around as Hei Mo’s attack slammed into the back of latter’s jet-black cloak. But to his horror, Hei Mo found that his attack was unable to pass through.
The cloak which he struck was like a mountain, he was unable to press any further.
Seeing that his attack was useless, Hei Mo hurriedly sprang back a few meters as he stared wearily at Jin Xia’s back. The calmness and confidence in his eyes had greatly diminished by now. What replaced them, instead, were shock and even fear.
“How could this be possible? My attack didn’t even pierce through the cloak at all. That cloak might even be a powerful artifact…just…who is this person?!”
Hei Mo’s thoughts were in a panic as a few droplets of sweat rolled down his forehead…
Host’s note: Didn’t have access to internet so there’ll be 4 chapters posted within the next 2 hours, the 3 for today and the first one for tomorrow. I’m spacing them out in the first place to keep them up on the latest updates longer so people will notice them more. Posting double or triple chapters at the same time makes people happy but hurts the fiction in question.
