《Path to Godhood: The Silver King (RWBY)》12. - RWBYS: Operation Over

When they returned to the hole, they had a real bitter fight until the reinforcement appeared, there were just too many of them, right after they leaved, the big Grimms started attacking together, thankfully they didn’t lose anyone that night.
Yet they lost a bullhead when a Beringel threw a big rock at it, it was only by the end of the night that the battle finally ended, for them everything was over, and they had already contacted Ozpin and the Silver Fang to come pick them up and take care of the rest.
A few hours after, Ozpin had taken away the survivors of the base, he had a bitter face as he later on saw the bandaged children, for the bald girl, she was taken by the silver fang together with Qrow, in order to give them intensive care, as he had bought a few medical cradles from Atlas tech, and out of all the children she was in a critical condition.
As the Faunus had made am advancement in the field of medicine while using their own understanding, Faunus had a medical understanding similar in what his past world would be traditional Chinese medicine, and using Faunus aura marks, they created their own panaceas, this was an idea they obtained after Silva gave them to research a few Serums he obtained from the system.
Even though they lost their magical properties because of the world laws, the Faunus were able to substitute the mystical elements with the use of aura, it was simple for Silva to obtain this serums, after all the more useless are in the world, the cheaper they are in the system store. Because of their incredible effects and advancement, Atlas tech couldn’t help but certify this advancement once more, and within the Aura Mark encyclopedia created, gave them a special classification.

A few days after Silva received clarification of who were those people, it seemed that he been deemed worthy of trust by Ozpin as he received explanations about it, the group were survivors of a project called Tripartite, it started as a group of researcher investigating about human, aura and Grimm.
It was started in order to obtain a bigger understanding of the limits of humanity, and the weakness of the Grimm, everything was fine until the head researcher, started to do unethical experiments, he tried to fuse the three subjects of experimentation, going completely nuts, by saying that by joining the Grimms with humans, he was going to create a new race.
When the council realized what he was doing, they immediately moved to suppress them, yet he had found a mysterious backing, and even though the head was killed, there were a few researchers that shared his same goal that were able to escape. In the end the experiment was fruitless, as the survivors of the experiments died or became complete Grimms, as by no circumstance they can mix with one another.
As the Grimm cell devour the body of the carrier, because of that, only aura is able to fight the power of the Grimm, as they do not carry a soul, aura which is the energy of the soul is effective against them, hearing that Silva understood why his silver aura affected the Grimm so much, it innate power of inviolability served to reject their existence, this is why as he grew stronger, he was almost untouchable by weak Grimms. Thinking of this, a crazy idea came to his mind, yet this was something for the future.

While the reason Qrow was hurt, was because of an experiment they were doing after receiving from Atlas, a leak of aura markings, because of its instability it ended up blowing up, while Qrow took the hit in order to save a few kids he had rescued.
It seemed to be that the power of the aura markings had ignited hope in their hearts, and Qrow had been tasked by Ozpin to investigate their movements two years ago, because of his presence, they had almost no chance to do anything major, and remained hidden. It was a few weeks ago with the help of Summer, that he had found a lead towards them.
The reason why Qrow was alone, was because they were entrusted different tasks, Qrow was to find the group, while Summer was to find their backing. Finally after the explanation all his doubts about the event were dispelled, even though he knew that he could push Ozpin for answers, he decided against it. He wanted to let them take the initiative, only by doing that Ozpin would take the initiative to make him a core part of their group, even though in his eyes he had already done enough, his age was a detriment to the cause, in any case he already had knowledge of this things.
To Ozpin explanation he didn’t say anything back and just told him, he would give any support he needed if the situation arose, that he only needed to tell him, he didn’t ask him anything else neither he asked for benefits, this undoubtedly gained Ozpin favor, as days later he sent the three obtained aircraft to his company in apology for the loss of the bullhead.

Taking a breath, Silva leaved his separated office in the industrial property, and with a mask on moved to the medical department in the property, this was created in order to attend injured silver claw member, as it also worked as a research facility, it was always full of the best equipment, in fact Ghira as the chief of Menagerie had expanded their planting fields, full of medical ingredients, creating many more jobs for the Faunus, and raising his Ghira’s family status.
Reaching the medical department, he moved quickly toward one of the rooms, there were many different guards yet none of them stopped him on his way, from outside the room, a noisy complain could be heard as the voice of a young girl answered him back in a humorous yet sarcastic tone.
“Look Girly, I had already told you many times, I’m already fine, it doesn’t even hurt anymore, so give me back my flask”
“Says the man with a hole in the stomach, and the answer is still no, you had already lost consciousness once, after drinking a bit yesterday”
“Hey I need a drink to get pass the pain, ok?”
“Didn’t you say that it didn’t hurt anymore?” Hearing her words, the voice of the man couldn’t help but stop, from outside the room, Silva couldn’t help but try to hold his laughter in, opening the door he looked at the man with a smile on his face, and he had finally discovered Qrow weakness, which in fact was little children.
There were a few people on the room, there was Qrow seated on a bed with his left hand trying to grab something at the side, right next to him was a black haired girl, the same age as Silva, seated in a chair while holding a book in one hand and grabbing a flask in the other.

The girl was none other than Blake Belladonna, Ghira’s daughter which was tasked to supervise Qrow, at difference from the series she was a little more cheerful, she still had a ribbon on her head, but it was not on top covering her Faunus ears but at the back, it was something he had bought her during the last Vytal Festival, when they strolled around with Ruby, Yang and Adam.
Looking at them, he almost couldn’t hold the urge of laughing, but taking a deep breath to calm himself down, he entered the room, at the side of the room, were two guards and a nurse checking into a medical cradle, giving them a nod, they understood and went out of the room, closing the door on the way out, seeing that nobody else was left, he took out his mask to look at Qrow.
“You sure like to cause a mess, Old man. You don’t die from the injury, but nearly passed away from your drinking habits, you are quite the thing, I already received quite a few complains of you harassing the nurse, you know?” Hearing him talk, Blake couldn’t help but giggle at him.
“Thank you for your help Blake, How was your journey back home?”
“No problem Silva, It was fine, Mom asked me to tell you to come by some time” Blake responded with a smile on her face, Silva couldn’t help but to smile, after all Ruby and Blake were his favorite characters.
“Hey Brat, so you finally had time to come by, and I keep telling you to stop calling me Old man, I’m not that old, Wait! Were you the one who changed my white angel” Complained Qrow.
Silva just ignored his words, while he turned his head with a smile, this caused even more complains from Qrow, and made Blake laugh smile even harder. Looking to the side, he moved his sight towards the medical cradle, inside the girl they rescued was submerged into a transparent green fluid.
The medical cradle glass was inscribed with Faunus markings, it used pure aura together with a medical concoction, to restore the body strength, it even regenerated body parts, it was a joined creation between the Faunus and atlas tech, the markings had the power to direct the aura and accelerate the power of the fluid.
“How is she?” Silva asked towards Blake, even since he took a better look at the girl, he had the feeling of familiarity, she was older than him, yet she was just as tall as him, her hair showed signs of growing back yet because of the fluid, he couldn’t quite tell her color yet.
“She is fine, most of her injuries had been restored, it’s just her vocal cords had been greatly damaged” Hearing her answer, Silva couldn’t help becoming stunned, and quickly activated his eye markings, the moment he did a shocked expression appeared on his face, he quickly changed back as he turned to face Blake and said.
“Call me if she wakes up” After that he just simply changed the conversation as he said towards Qrow “I will be returning to Patch after in about a week, will you be coming with me, Old man?”
“Well, I haven’t seen those kids in some time, so I’ll go with you after reporting to Oz” Qrow just answered, while Blake just turned downcast. Seeing Blake turn gloomy, Silva just sighed and said.
“Don’t feel bad Blake, we will still be in contact” Hearing him speak, her countenanced became brighter as she smiled him back.
“But what will you returning for? If I’m not wrong, Ozpin already helped you obtain the Signal documents”
He asked confused, he knew that one of busiest people on the Company was none other than him, even though most of personnel didn’t know who he truly was, he still took many important decisions in the place.
“I need to concentrate in a few weapon creations of my own, and if I continue staying here, many more things will continue to pop” He answered towards Qrow, seeing him nod he continued towards Blake “While I’m not here the full power of decision makings, will fall on your father. Please tell him to not be rash with the situation on Mantle, we cannot rush things”
Even though the situation on Mantle had turned better for the Faunus, there were still many conflicts going on the place, there were still many deep rooted organizations that were difficult to treat, some of them backed by the Atlas council, so he had to raise the name of the Company even further, after all Atlas tech had a good understanding of the aura markings thanks to him.
He needed something that will grab their attention, and for him, that was weaponry, if he could show that he could create huntsman weapons enough to stun them, they would have no choice but to look for them for cooperation, at that time his plans will start.
Taking a deep breath, he said one last time before putting his mask back on and leaving the room “Blake, send me the designs of your Gambol Shroud, I already got Adam’s Wilt and Blush”
“And you Old Man, Stop trying to get yourself killed”
_____________________________________________________________________________________
Leaving the room, Silva started his preparations, he had to move the major part of his laboratory, towards Patch, there were some extra preparations for him to make, during Qrow rescue he had been given a quest for helping, but he was so worried, that he dismissed it without seeing it.
Once he returned and saw it, he couldn’t help but feel stunned upon seeing it, it was something he never expected to obtain, yet one of the things he most urgently needed.
HIDDEN QUEST:
RESCUE QROW BRANWEN: (COMPLETED)
FIRST REWARD: BODY STRENGTHENING CRYSTAL
SECOND REWARD: ADVANCED BLACKSMITHING
He obtained the skill of advanced blacksmithing, which was a random system reward, he knew that blacksmithing was something that existed on Remnant. They could do small transforming modifications to weapons, such as a sheath transforming into a shield, but they did not specialize in fire arms as they only forged normal weapons.
Because of that it was not something much seen, only the continent of Anima which had many different cultures, had active blacksmiths because of their warrior culture. Maybe because of that he was directly given the advanced tier, after he obtained it there were many ideas brewing on his mind.
So he wanted a more relaxed environment to concentrate fully. A few days before he returned, the girl in the medical cradle finally woke up.

Makemake
"Makemake—a planet that is found in the far edges of the system known as Sol—was once a metropolis, like all of the other planets that populate the system. Now, like all of the others, it lies as a Sleeping City, forever dormant. No one lives there anymore—it has been vacant for years. In one of the massive cities that used to have a population that was in high numbers a sound could be heard. A distant sound. A beep, or a call, a message—whatever it was, it was an electronic noise. It echoed through the dust cloud filled landscape. The sound went on for a long time. It sat in a sea of quiet; no other noise rolled over the hills and bounced off the ground—only that noise. Only that beep."

Paternum: A Superhero Story
When Quinn finds an experimental superpower-granting costume in their parents’ attic, they didn’t expect to be drawn into a web of superhuman intrigue, but their discovery serves as the catalyst for that conspiracy to slowly unravel. At it’s heart, Paternum is an extended coming-of-age story for the main character as they become a superhero, in a world with more reasonable stakes and less powerful heroes than many superheroic worlds. Themes include what art means to different people, and what it means to be a patron, whether as a sponsor, a parent, or a supporter. I consider Paternum‘s primary influences to be the various versions of Spider-Man, J. C. McCrae’s own superhero story Worm, and Drew Hayes’ story SuperPowereds. I hope that fans of such stories can find something to enjoy in mine as well. Paternum is primarily hosted on my website (thevoidwrites.com) where it updates weekly in groups of scenes totalling approximately 2000 words. Here on Royal Road, it will update once daily with one scene at a time, but only after each act is completed on the home site - the next batch of updates is scheduled to begin on February 5th. There is a discord channel for discussion (discordapp.com/invite/QFMM6yA), and you can vote for Paternum on topwebfiction (topwebfiction.com/vote.php?for=paternum) as well. Finally, you can buy the first book of Paternum, The Swift Uplifting Rush, in a couple different ways - as an ebook through Amazon, or directly from me for a discounted price, or as a physical paperback from Amazon. Buying the book will give you access to Drawing Hands, an exclusive arc that won't ever be published on either my site or Royal Road.

Welcome to Lectioterra Adventurer! (Please DO NOT buff the Raid boss) (Please note i am quite aware that book one was written with quite a few thousand errors. I took a break from writing for ten years and had to relearn a lot of things. I learned quite a lot from writing 100+ chapters so far. I will go back and edit book one’s chapters after I get book two finished. If you all want to point out the errors in the earlier chapters I will gladly edit those things ASAP)
