VIJA laid back on his throne, it was made out of a mixture of blood gold, bones, orichalcum and rose platinum, making it appear as a mess of gold, red and black with random skulls placed here and there to give it a more fitting appearance suiting the god of the demons himself. Or at least, that was what the other demons thought, as they stood in awe and respect as their high king glared at a certain individual.

"Ugh, my back hurts, who in the right mind thought that having a throne made with no cushioning with some of the hardest metals in the world was a good idea?!" the demon god in question grumbled in his mind. "And the random skulls sticking out just makes it worse" he readjusted himself once again, as the person under his scrutiny could only tremble further, in fear that he might have angered his king in some way. He was the captain of the 2nd squad of the frontlines, it was beyond his wildest dream that he would get the chance to be in the presence of the one who stood above all demons. Even if he was going by hierarchy, he still had to go through the division head and vice division head, vice commander, commander, the 'head' and finally the special squad, in order to even breath in the presence of his king. Furthermore, he was just the captain of the 2nd squad out of 157 squads. Well, 155 since the 17th and 19th were destroyed by a single man. But they will be reformed soon regardless.

"So, the reason I have summoned you here is clear and simple" VIJA spoke, his words itself caused the air pressure to pop. If any ordinary human was standing nearby, their eardrums would burst like a blooming flower. "I have heard news of a human that could break through the barrier?" VIJA questioned. "Ye...Yes, sir! It was during the capture of Chebelie, a strange human with no aura to him at all, destroyed the barrier through some unknown means" the captain trembled as he answered, knowing that a single misspoken word would spell the end of his life. "Hmm, and why have you not captured this human you speak of?" VIJA questioned."It was my incompetence that led to his escape with a teleport scroll, I am terribly sorry!" the captain slammed his head on the ground as he knelt. "You have let a human with means to stop our invasion escape, do you understand the severity of your situation now?" VIJA simply glared at the captain, causing his wings to smash against the ground, breaking his bones as his back bent in an unspeakable shape, crushed against the ground as he knelt.

"Yes sir, I will get to it as soon as possible" the captain pleaded for his life. "Hmph, then so be it, I have a feeling that this human would meet you on the battlefield once again, this would be as I foretold" the demon king pointed to his third eye that peered into the very fates themselves. "Go, and don't fail, if you do, don't ever return without being a corpse," VIJA stated as the captain was blown away with a flick of his finger, pushing the demon captain out of the entire fortress itself, smashing through the walls as he crash-landed without resistance. The walls regenerated almost instantly, as the captain picked up his own battered body and moved back to his camp. "The others are going to be so jealous of me" he whistled happily as his wings began to flap within minutes.

"Who would have thought, a migrating pack of walking grass would be such a popular quest" Kitzuma sighed, as the payout for the quest decreased to the minimum. A pathetic increase of 50 credits was deposited into his inventory. "Well, at least that's food for another day..." he could only encourage himself in the smallest of ways. Looking at his team members consisting of Perlin, Rachel, and Dominic, he figured that he could live like this. Maybe open a shop after saving a bit of coin, live a happy life with some girl he'll eventually meet...that sounded really nice in his head, as he was met with the cold, cruel reality before him. "Look look Kitzuma, I the great archpriest, seeing the insignificant payout and the shared suffering of our party, I have accepted this quest to help delay the demon army for the entire Holland kingdom to make their escape!" Perlin showed the 'quest accepted' paper with a bright smile on her face."Ah. Well, good luck with that" Kitzuma crossed off a member of his team within his head. "Wait, no, you can't just leave me like that, you'll help, right? Rachel? Dominic?" Perlin clung onto Kitzuma as Rachel looked away, pretending not to see anything while Dominic was busying himself with the new drinks by the guild counter. "NOOOOOOO" she screamed out loud. In the end, it was decided that they would return the quest and pay the penalty.

"I can't believe we're just going to run away" Perlin sniffled as she walked along the streets. "Well, where in your non-existent mind of yours does it tell you that we can complete that!" Kitzuma insulted her, as they began to quarrel. The sun slowly hid behind the buildings, turning the sky orange and slowly but surely being replaced by the moon. "Dominic, you talk some sense into her," Kitzuma said, exasperated. "Its almost night time and I want to sleep, so how can we do it if we are going to be tired?" Dominic explained. "Oh, you're right" Perlin came to a conclusion. "No, that's not the conclusion you're supposed to be making!" Kitzuma started to explain once more.

The group made their way towards their inn.

Dominic's POV

As another hard day at work passed by, I looked to find pleasure back in my own private room. This town was pretty nice, though there isn't any electronic gaming devices to play or any form of entertainment that was convenient to acquire, the people were nice, the food was decent and there are fun adventures each and every day. A town full of life I guess?

Separating with Kitzuma by the corridor, I made my way to my room. Swinging open the door, it took a while for me to register the image before my eyes. Pink hair that made its way onto my bed, a strangely cute face plastered upon an almost doll-like body. Her lips smacked against each other, as my eyes made its way to the ever-prominent chest sticking out. Isn't that...Michelle? What's she doing here? An unhappy smile was plastered over her face, as her eyebrows curved into a frown. Is there something wrong? Does she need my help with something? Could it be? Did she get into debt at the casino again?

"Dominic" her voice came out, calm and quiet. It was steady and relaxed, yet filled with such hostility, such anger that it made me take a step back unconsciously. "Yes?" I replied. Her eyes started tearing, as she started to sob. Is she on her period? I heard that women on their period have strange mood swings. "Dominic" she called my name once again. "I finally, finally found you" she broke into a smile as she came charging at me. Embracing me in a hug, I could only awkwardly put my arms around her body, feeling the massive peaks pressed against my chest. Her mouth moved closer and closer to mine, as she forcefully pressed her lips against mine. "I missed you" she whispered. My mind went blank.

"Hey, are you done with your greeting yet or... oh my god what are you doing" a familiar voice brought me back into reality. Black long hair, a slender body with meat where it needs to be, a cold and icy glare accompanied by her naive aura. It was none other than Titania, the evil goddess. As I stared at her, I recalled something extremely important I had to ask Michelle. "Do you kiss everyone you haven't seen in a long time?" I asked. For some reason, it just didn't sit right with me that she did, it was sort of a discomfort in my chest. "Do you have to ask that? really?" Michelle sighed, as she laid down on my bed, infuriated. "Unbelievable" I heard her mutter. So was that a yes or a no?

"So what are you guys doing here?" I asked them. "Looking for you, duh" Titania answered. "Why?" I asked. "You left, literally without warning, just poof, and you were gone!" Michelle started to complain. "Did you ever stop to consider how I would feel? No. You didn't. Imagine just having a part of your life, someone you care about just, gone gone all of a sudden. They were calling you a murderer even though I know you'll never do such a thing. So I'm going to bring you back, and clear your name" Michelle finished her part. She looked so sad as she said that, was her sense of empathy so high that she would think and care about me to this extent? For me, well... I never really thought about that. I just thought that maybe I would go off a few years, then come back to meet my siblings and the others... About her, I just think of her as a really close friend I guess? My lips remembered the sensation of hers, as my face turned red on its own.

"So, Dominic, what do you say, will you come back with me? At least clear your name first" Michelle pleaded with me. I looked at her face in all its weariness. What kind of person would I be, if I rejected her plea?

3rd POV

Stay with me forever. The words in her head that never made it out. Michelle laid next to Dominic in bed, as her excuse of not meeting him for a long time was used for her to cling onto him. Titania went and summoned her bed, which she kept in her inventory and went to sleep. The single bed meant for a single person creaked unnaturally, as Dominic could feel her breath against his neck. His mind kept going back to the memories of her soft touch, as he steeled himself to endure the night. Meanwhile, Michelle was enjoying herself to his body. Pretending to be asleep as she rubbed against him with various parts of her body while nibbling his earlobe, leaving her saliva where she bit. "Endure it" Dominic clenched his fist, as he closed his eyes. One wrong step and he would be breaking the friendship he had for such a long time. Little did he know, that some friendships were meant to be broken and the other party was waiting for him to take that step. You don't know, how much I love you. Michelle hugged him even tighter, as her legs wrapped around his body as well, further enticing him to make a move. "ENDURE IT" Dominic's mind screamed.

With the various acts going on, Titania's eyelids opened as the sun, once again filled the sky with its glory. "Good morning, you're up early" Titania greeted her friend and the man who bought her and let her do as she pleases. If anyone in the world asked who was the dumbest person you ever met, her answer would be him without a doubt. Even a 3-year-old child would know not to let out a lion into a city, let alone an evil goddess that threatened the heavenly realm once.

"Wow, you look tired?" Titania stared at the mentally fatigued Dominic. Next, to that, she looked at her friend that was swooning in an aura of happiness. "It's like getting the rare shiny p*kemon you wanted after grinding I guess?" Titania figured that she must've been overjoyed that she located her target after months of searching. "Rise and shine Dom!" Kitzuma opened the door to find his adventuring partner surrounded by two out-of-this-world beauties. "I'll see you later" the door slammed shut as Kitzuma, feeling betrayed for some unknown reason, ran down to complain over breakfast to his other companions.

"I am a saint!" Dominic declared out loud. "No? You're a potato god no?" Titania and Michelle were confused. Incidentally, Michelle learned of the previous events from Titania as their friendship developed. "So, what do you guys want for breakfast?" Dominic asked, changing the subject. "I want you" Michelle's true thoughts slipped out. "Huh?" Dominic could only think that he had heard wrong. "I mean, whatever you think its the best" Michelle corrected herself in a fluster.

"So she is thinking of him as a rare shiny p*kemon!" Titania came to a conclusion.
