《Cliché cliché the classic cancer cliché》Chapter 92

In a single night, 53 countries fell.
The news spread like wildfire, as the world with a known total of 301, 245 countries began to panick. Reinforcements were quickly sent to surrounding countries via the teleportation portals, and thoese which had been attacked were closed immediately.
Adventurers all around were offered a massive amount to aid the various countries, and thoese who had lived to tell the tale amounted to none.
This marked the dawn of a new era. An era of violence and mayhem.
"So, as I was saying, we should go and fight the ice trolls!" a ridiculous demand came out from the mouth of a certain archpriest.
"Yeah, you meant you" Kitzuma replied.
"Just look at the money their offering!" Perlin pointed towards the amount of credits marked '100 000'.
"And over here it says we have to fucking fight 5000 of em!" Kitzuma pointed towards the clear condition of the quest.
"Yeah, it'll be a clinch!" Perlin announced.
"What the fuck is going on in your brain?!" Kitzuma sighed, exasperated.
"I mean we cleared the ogre quest just yesterday! It was so awesome, like I was the healer, your the frontline, Rachel was..uh doing her best resting on Bob, and we now have a new backline! With my great leadership, we successfully cleared the quest to kill thoese stupid ogres nearby, and they didn't feel like they amounted to much!" Perlin gleefully said.
"And that means that each of us split 3k from yesterday!" Kitzuma rebutted.
"It doesn't hurt to have more!" Perlin made a sound rebuttal.
"And, I mean yesterday we took down 10 ogres like nothing and the ice trolls are said to be a little stronger than the ogres..so...." Perlin pouted and pointed both index fingers towards each other, making a really cute face.
"Ugh..."Kitzuma took damage.
"No means no!" he steeled his heart.
"How can you be so heartless! I trained in the mirror for that face!" Perlin grabbed onto Kitzuma as he attempted to run away with the request sheet.
"Go away!" Kitzuma struggled, as the two of them wrestled for the paper on the ground.
"I'll have two set B's thank you" Dominic told the waiter, as he closed the menu in the adventurer's guild. Once again, it was business as usual in the town of Genesia.
The mood was high up in the air, as adventurers who returned from their various tasks came back with brilliant smiles flashed across their faces. For thoese that somehow failed a quest in this starter town however, came back to return their adventuring IDs to avoid paying the failure fee. Before registering again of course.
"The legendary SS ranked adventuring party has returned!" someone shouted happily as he rushed towards the guild and announced this remarkable news. They were a legendary bunch, at least for this town that was intended for beginers, having a single S ranked adventurer already created a large fuss, not to mention SS ranked adventurers.
Everyone's interest was immediately brought towards the door, as 5 figures wearing flashy armor and super expensive equipment entered with a prideful smile, one that didn't show of arrogance, but one of acomplishment.
Without hesitating, they made their way towards the counter.
"What's all the fuss?" Dominic asked Kitzuma.
"Oh right, you're new here. Well you see, about half a year ago, the 'Meat lover's party' left to explore the uncharted regions. As we know, the uncharted regions are thoese that have never been touched by any sentinel being that knows of modern society. Thus, they are infested by monsters and such." Kitzuma explained.

"Their facing agaisnt unknown monsters, creatures they never surfaced even in books. So, what makes it amazing is that they had to map out and create a safezone with a bunch of workers somewhere in there. Building a town while fending away the monsters nearby."
"Needless to say, thoese monsters are definetly strong. Its in the uncharted regions no people dare venture to after all." Kitzuma rattled on and on.
"Uh huh" Dominic replied, as the steak was served infront of him.
"Wait a minute, you didn't order for us?!" Perlin exclaimed.
"You guys were busy so we didn't want to bother you" Rachel replied, as she dug in.
The attention returned back towards the 'Meat lover's party', as they began to make an announcement.
"Excuse me, but can I get everyone's attention?" the SS ranked party's leader stepped forward. He looked extremely ripped, with his muscles bulging out from nearly every direction of his body. A refreshing looking face that gave a bright smile, and a neck that looked thick enough to withstand any hit.
"So, after we returned from the uncharted regions, we recieved a grave news. There appears to be a large demonic army ravaging and destroying every single country that comes in its path. They may be millions of kilometers away as of now, but they are moving at an extremely fast pace. We predict that in another 3 years, it will reach this place." he announced in a solemm tone, killing the happy mood in the area.
"Just to break it out there, even if it means more jobs for us, it also means there is great danger. After all, 53 countries fell in a single night"
"Please spread the news" he urged the adventurers.
The entire place echoed his message, and soon, it became too noisy to even hear what the guy was saying at the middle of the adventure's guild.
"Holy shit, did you hear that?" Kitzuma looked towards Dominic.
"Mhmm" Dominic finished his meal.
"Stop eating! We have to run!" Kitzuma panicked.
"Its 3 years though?" Dominic replied.
"yeah...right." Kitzuma realised, as he stopped panicking just because of the atmosphere.
"A demonic army... its my time to shine!" Perlin's eyes sparkled.
"No, we are not going anywhere near that. Didn't you hear? It can destroy countries easily!" Kitzuma held her back, as she went to check the new requests.
"Nooo, look! Theres a simple 200,000 to evacuate the Duke's family in Chebelie!" Perlin struggled to get the request paper.
"What kind of eyes do you have?!" Kitzuma shouted at her amongst the noisy surroundings, as they were around 10 meters away from the request board.
"A demonic army is a chance for us to get more money! I agree with Perlin for now!" Rachel's eyes sparkled as well, as she remembered the 50k magic staff she saw just the previous day. Furthermore, it was 50% off!
"Lets grab the chance now!" she pushed Kitzuma, as she wiped the sauce off her face with the back of her hands.
She looked towards Kitzuma, and seemed to speak to him of her intentions through his mind.
"ARE YOU RETARDED?" was what Kitzuma wanted to reply, but he stopped.
"..." Kitzuma thought of all the things he could do with all the money they can get. From 'service' that was good, to new equipment and buying things for his parents to impress them and perhaps the people around, maybe settle down with a nice girl, have a family...

"Hehhe... no wait first let's check on where the army is!" Kitzuma rushed to the counter.
"Henieryu" the reception answered without being asked, before writing a paper that stated the location of the demonic army and placed it on the table.
The magical quest board continued to flash rapidly, as quests were being accepted and requested all over the world.
"I got the evacuate request!" Perlin somehow managed to grab it.
"Chebille is 128 kilometers away from the army! Their nearest teleport portal is 13 kilometers away! It says here that anywhere is fine! Its an urgent request that expires in 15 minutes!" Perlin shouted at Kitzuma.
"Im fine with anything" Dominic replied to Kitzuma's line of sight.
"Alright, do we still have a teleport scroll to this town?" Kitzuma looked towards the mage.
"Let's go!" Perlin excited accepted it and ran towards the teleport portal in the town. Dominic had Bob turn small enough to fit onto his head, and the party immediately left for Chebelie.
"The teleport price is insanely overpiced!" Kitzuma complained, as he paid the 400 credits.
The group found themselves in the middle of a battlefield. It was complete chaos, with what seemed like an infinite amount of demons spewing over the kingdom walls.
"WHERE IS THAT DUKE'S RESIDENCE?!" Kitzuma screamed at Perlin.
"I think we should return..." Rachel panicked and looked behind.
The teleport portal mercilessly shut down behind them.
"WASN'T IT AT HENIERYU LIKE 5 MINUTES AGO?!" Perlin shouted back, as she pointed towards the castle.
"IT SAYS THAT ITS TO THE NORTH OF THE CASTLE! ITS 13 KILOMETERS! EVEN IF WE SPRINT NON-STOP IT'LL TAKE HALF AN HOUR!" Perlin shouted the situation.
Bob turned back to his original size, and appear to be beckoning the rest to get atop of him. No, Bob slipped beneath them, and immediately ran, with the others struggling to stay on him, as the grabbed against his slimy exterior for their lives.
A few flying demons seemed to have notice them, however, they were way too slow to catch up. Bob was like a car, one that traveled perfectly over terrain, without stop.
"bloop bloop" Bob seemed to be asking where they should go, as he made his way around the castle that was surrounded by guards and weapons, prepared to fend for their lives.
"What kind of people would evacuate only at the last moment?!" Kitzuma complained in his heart.
"Its the large mansion with a white exterior and a red flag with a cross hanged above it!" Perlin pointed ahead, as Bob rushed towards the house.
The demons were swarming.
"Take this!" Rachel shot her fire magic, and collapsed on the slime, nearly falling off , as Dominic managed to pull her back with his arm.
"...I shouldn't have agreed to this..." Kitzuma panicked, as he watched their 'mage' nearly commit suicide. Even if he never liked them, or so he says, his heart still skipped a beat.
"Why did you waste your mana???" Kitzuma cried out, as he struggled to stay atop.
Dominic began shooting the demons that got close. Luckily for them, the Duke's mansion was near the centre, where the demons had swarmed from all directions, it was going to be one of the last places the demons will reach.
Bob immediately turned small after rushing into the door of the mansion, breaking it down. He hoped onto Dominic, who was the only one standing, as the others received cuts and bruises, which Perlin healed immediately.
"We've come to bring you out!" Kitzuma shouted to the empty hallway. It was a simple mansion, one with a large living room, a dining room to the left, a relaxation room with a pool table and personal bowling alley with a window overseeing their swimming pool, and it comes with a bar to the right. The second floor could be seen to be all bedrooms.
"Over here!" they heard a reply, as a secret compartment opened up from the red carpet they stood on.
"Hurry!" they shouted, as the others immediately ran and dropped down into the secret base. It was a hidden basement.
"So glad you could make it!" a humble man greeted them, he had a warm smile on his face, and a nice beard.
"I assume your the duke? It sure was a last minute request!" Kitzuma told him, as he signalled Rachel to take out the teleport scroll.
However, an unexpected error occured. The excitement from the atmosphere he brought in immediately died.
Rachel was knocked out cold.
"..."
"..."
"Uhm. This is going to take... a while..." Kitzuma looked at the useless mage.
Perlin immediately started pouring water from a bottle and channeling mana into the mage.
"So, in the meantime... why did you evacuate so late?" Kitzuma asked the family of 5, consisting of the duke, his wife and 2 daughters and a son. They all, ironically looked to be the same age.
"It was our noblesse oblige" he said it proudly.
"We need to let our citizens evacuate safely first!" the duke smiled.
"Oh..." Kitzuma was bad with these type of people. They were thoese who were good-natured without any ill intent. They type he was the worse at figuring out.
"Nice wine you have here" Dominic popped a bottle in the wine cellar which they were at.
"I'm here!" Rachel somehow waked up.
The whole room began to tremor, as they heard footsteps destroying all that they own above.
"Foolish creatures! DIE!" a tremendous pressure was somewhere in the area, the entire room held their breath. Dominic drank the wine. A few loud explosions occured.
"Fa....fa...faster" Kitzuma trembled, however, he himself was unable to move.
"s....su....sure" Rachel fumbled. Her entire limbs fell into disorder, as the teleport scrolls fell onto the ground.
"I am the captain of the 2nd frontline squad! Today, this will be OUR kingdom!" a loud explosion could be heard as that voice announced it. Cheers could be heard, as demons jump up and down above them. They could tell, the country had fallen. A mere captain of the demonic army had this much pressure. Cold sweat dripped from their necks.
"Mmm so how do I use this?" Dominic walked towards the teleport scroll and picked it up. He placed them against the ground, and nothing seemed to be happening.
"How can he move like that?! No wait, we aren't in any danger! Why can't I?! What is the great me even scared of?!" Perlin trembled as she somehow managed to move.
"We just need to channnel mana into it!" Perlin channeled her mana into the teleport scroll, however, it didn't seem to want to come out.
"I sense mana! There are survivors... over here!" a spear was stabbed through their celling, missing her just by a centimeter, as Perlin channeled mana in shock and panick. The magic circle surrounded them, as they were revealed with the entire floor being lifted up by the Captain.
"You can't run!" he seemed to eradicate a barrier, freezing the magic circle in place, with its blue glow at the same light intensity but not growing as it would when its used.
Dominic swatted away the funny dark redish aura around them.
"what?!" the demon captain looked in shock, as the others had already closed their eyes, praying for their lives. Dominic stuck his tongue out towards the demon Captain. And with a loud poof, the pressure was lifted off everyone's shoulders.
"are we... we.... we made it! hhahahhah!" Kitzuma found himself being stared at in the middle of the town. He had pissed himself. So had the duke family's daughters.
"Kitzuma...." Perlin looked at him in shame.
"you're an adventurer..." Rachel sighed.
"You should tell us if you needed to go before the adventure" Dominic poured salt onto his wounds.
Kitzuma had been closing his eyes for over 5 minutes, consistently wetting himself, as everyone else managed to get over the shock and found themselves relieved to have survived.
"Uhm"
"yes" the duke looked towards him, not sure what to say.
"Pfft." the daughters laughed lightly.
"Shut up! You two wet yourselves as well!" Kitzuma rebutted.
"Anyways, thank you all for comming to our rescue! I will remember this for as long as I live" the Duke acknowledged them as he looked at each of the party's faces.
"So where might we be?" he asked.
"Genesia, the starter town for adventurers" Dominic replied.
"Genesia?! You guys are beginers?!" the Duke was suprised.
"Apparently I'm rank G, G is for good? I guess?" Dominic replied with another question.
"Hahahaah" he laughed.
"You sure know how to make a man happy" the duke patted Dominic on his back.
"This is a good place" the Duke smiled happily, as he looked at all the adventurers running around without a care in the world.
"Hey, you guys always wanted to try adventuring, why not now?" the Duke smiled at his children. Due to the rules and regulations of the kingdom, they had spent their lives attending boring conferences, locked up in their houses afraid of getting kidnapped. It was but a pipe dream for them to go out, meet new people, and have an adventure.
"nope, we're good" they replied in unison. After that experience, anyone would.
"I guess this is where we part, " the Duke said with a smile.
"It wasn't long, but I think we'll be seeing you guys around" he walked away, as he began to explore the town with his family.
"So now, let's get you a new pair of pants" Dominic patted Kitzuma on the back, as he showed him the way to the market.
The girls have already left to collect their reward from the guild.
"I know... shut up... stop looking at me..." a tramautized adventurer was brought to the market to buy a new pair of pants, before refreshing himself at a public bath.
"So there was a human that could stand up against you?" the vice captain of the demonic army asked his captain in suprise. He was unsure of the rumor that was going around in the squad.
"No, not really, but he was able to repel my barrier" the captain replied, as he feasted on the flesh of the previous king.
"I see" the vice captain nodded.
"I will report this to the superiors" he stated.
"Mmm" the captain continued to eat the dead human body.
"Humans are so much tastier than thoese with furry ears and tails" he bit through the bones, and finished the entire head in chunks.
He was the captain of the 2nd squad. Of the 157 squads in the divison, he was in charge of the 2nd one. There were 40 divisions in the army. Each divison has a vice divison head and a divison head. Above that are 8 vice commanders that lead the division and vice divison heads, with one leading 10 of them. Then there are 4 commanders. Further on, there is a single 'head' leading the 4 commanders. The 'head' is the only one allowed to talk to the 'special squad' which had 5 demons under their ruler, VIJA.
Even if he was a mere captain, he was still in charge of around a million demons or so.
"Also, the 17th and 19th squad captains died, a single man killed them, 10% of their squads were also wiped out" the vice captain reported.
Their ruler was wise and decreed that they must attack the countries in divisions. There were many powerful people around the world after all.
The captain finished his meal, and flapped his demonic wings. He burned the face of the human who stuck his tongue out into his mind.
Breaking out through the castle wall like it was made of sand, the demonic army made its move once again.
