"Mr David.." Usagi muttered under her breath, as she saw the monster blown up from inside into smitherins.
".I'm sorry"
" If only I was stronger.."
The 3 girls could only groan and cry. However, no amount of crying or screaming in regret can bring him back. That was how it is. If you're dead then its the end.
The portal opened up ahead of them.
There was nothing they could do, other than to take that step forward.
As Risha walked through the portal, a little swirl of light hovered around her bow.
Benedict took down his 20th devil.
He was tired, at the doorstep towards dreams. Other devils had came in to help, hence with his horrible situation right now.
"Is he an assasin sent by the angels?!" the devils complained.
He was once again in the same washroom where he had killed the female devil. Recovering his pisonic ability, as well as doing his humanly business. Which is excretion if one had to put it bluntly.
Perhaps the situation would be rather comedic, if his arms and legs weren't cut and bleeding. It hurts. So much so that he wanted to cry and scream in pain.
"For my dead wife, i WILL KILL HIM AND REAP HIS SOUL TO SHREDS!" a devil shouted, as he clapsed his dead wife in his arms.
Benedict came to realise that the devils were the same as humans. They had families of their own, and the way humans were treated were almost the same as how humans treat animals. It was nothing different. In his case,he was most likely treated as a rabid dog.
If it wasn't for the safe enviroment of the academic city, Benedict doubted that he wouldn't have realised that it was a kill or be killed world.

Stopping his bleeding by using the papers from the textbooks as emergency measures, Benedict then again readied his weapons.
How many days had it been?
His vision blured.
"Now arriving at kliituen" the announcement was made on the hell train.
He needed to get to jgtuien. Perhaps he wouldn't even last that long.
And then, Benedict collapsed. He exhausted his pisonic powers over the limit, it was no suprise that this would happen.
"BANG"
"BANG BANG"
Benedict was awoken by the loud banging sounds of the wall he was leaning against.
Actually, it wasn't a wall. But the door of the toilet where he resided.
"Whoever's in there, get out here now!" a voice. Fierce as it is demanded.
Benedict was instantly on full alert.
He teleported and turned invisible.
Outside, there appeared to be a whole horde of Devils, and he tried his best to sneak away.
He heard the door break down, and the devil's immediately casted their magic spells inside. But alas, there was no one there.
"This is the last place, where exactly could he be hiding?!" the devil screamed in agony.
"Now arriving at jgtuien" the train announcement was made.
"How long was I out?" Benedict wondered.
His pisonic ability had already fully recovered, and the only problem he had was his dry lips and growling stomach.
"Wait a minute! Jgtuien?!" he realised the station that was announced.
Immediately, he got out. A few devils found him as he headed towards the door. But, he immediately teleported away.
Outside, it was empty. The city appeared to be deserted.
The train doors closed behind him.
The city had multiple empty buildings that appeared to be in some sort of post-acopalypse state. With moss and vines growing from destroyed buildings here and there.

Benedict sat down, relived.
He was extremely lucky. If he went back, he was going to offer all the gods of luck something. So, the devils had combed the area other than the one he was first spotted in. And if they had knocked on the door any earlier, then he would have already been dead before he knew it.
Taking out some bread and mineral water, Benedict ate like a starving beggar.
"Alright, is the summoning circle complete?!" Benedict heard some devil shouting.
Ahead, he quickly turned on his invisibility. Sneaking forward ahead.
There was a magic formation expanding over 20 meters in radius. It was ridiculous.
They were going to use that large of a magic circle to summon a beast that they would have to fight in the end.
"Magic crystals are ready!" he heard another devil shout.
"Good!" the person who appeared to be in charge replied.
"When the 3 arrive at an estimated time of 4 hours, we will summon it immediately." the person announced.
"So 4 hours..eh? wait a minute....3?" Benedict was confused.
"Theres, David, Mitsuha, Risha and Usagi. It should be 4 right?" Benedict counted in head to make sure that he was still correct.
"No way." Benedict panicked.
"I'm sure he just said that wrongly" he tried to think optimistically.
Benedict waited nearby, as he looked at the magic circle. It appeared to be drawn using some sort of fine powder. With a rather complicated and delicate shape. The devils appeared to be strangely neat and precise in their work.
"It seems that they have arrived faster than we expected." one of the devils announced.
"Hurry up! Summon it and get out!" the order was given.
Benedict knew he had to do something.
With that, Benedict randomly rubbed away a part of the magic circle, hoping that the spell would not work.
But instead, it seemed to glow even brighter.
"Somethings wrong!" a devil shouted.
"No wait this...Someone messed with the magic formation!" another screamed.
And...
Mitsuha, Risha and Usagi stepped out of the portal.

Trouble!
In a distant world ruled by Magic, Gods, Demons, Beasts and Man, war has ravaged the land and made its people suffer. The Archonian Council comprised of the leaders of the various races decided that enough was enough and the war had to stop or at the very least, continue elsewhere. In the middle of another aimless debate, Rafflesia, Chief Warlock of the Beast Race proposed this idea: “Why don't we create another world? Let's let the idiots go all out and settle this endless war there?†And because of that unprecedented notion, the Gods, Demons, Beast Race and Man worked together to create the (planet) world Arthunium, a magical world that could withstand the full brunt of the war. A thousand years after the Golden Age War, our story begins… (Warning: This novel offers depictions of: – Gore – Torture – Mature and Suggestive Themes The novel is therefore classified by most standards of morality as something no one should read. BladeMage
Arenya Azural, a dragon-blooded farmer from a small town in the middle of nowhere, always dreamed of being a great hero, battling demons and monsters as a force of magic and power. Now her dream has a chance to become reality - she's a new student at Ba'al Cedric's Academy of Adventurers, a university for warrriors and heroes to learn to battle against the surprisingly amicable demon armies of the neighboring country in an endless war nobody really remembers the point of by now. She's also a BladeMage - an exceedingly rare and exceedingly difficult dual class that few have ever managed to succeed in, but those who have gain immense power. Arenya has a long road ahead of her, with rival students, duels with demons, and a host of benchmarks she must pass in order to keep her scholarship. Will she make it to level 100 and beyond, or die too many times and be forced to return home, tail (literally) between her legs to a life of farming and dreaming of adventure? BladeMage is a LitRPG with a lighter focus on stats. It features battles, leveling up, giant monsters, a bit of fanservice, and more. [Update: The LitRPG elements are proving themselves relatively unimportant as I continue to write. They may be dropped entirely, in which case I will change the prior chapters as well as update this description.] Content warnings: As a story featuring lots of fighting, there will be blood and death. However, since characters rarely die permanently, this will not be a hyperviolent story with extreme gore for the sake of it. Some sexual content and fanservice may be included, but this should remain firmly at the PG-13 level and there will be no sexual violence of any kind. The Cover: Someone suggested that I should have a dragon girl with a miniskirt on the cover. I can't draw and I don't know who to ask or commission, so a few minutes in the GNU Image Manipulation Program and the masterful cover above was created! Please feel free to use your imagination to see a gorgeous half-dragon with azure hair, wings, and a tail, holding a lightning-infused sword while fighting demons.
