The moment I enter the forest I make sure no one is around. Then I summon Rowan, Morgana, Zar and the feather minions. The feather minions instanstly scattered and started to scout the area.

Zar rubbed his head towards my hand, Rowan bowed and Morgana simply coiled around my shoulders. This must look really weird from the outside.

“Shall we begin mistress?” Rowan asked.

“Yeah, better get starting” I answered.

From what I remember Julia-sama once told me that mangleroots are very easy to find. While they grow underground they sprout a yellow flower with seven leaves above ground. While the flower is unedible the root is used for both food and medicine. They grow in unfertile ground and where there’s not a lot of sunlight.

I send out the feather minions to find the yellow flowers and after about five minutes they report that they have found them, about 12 kilometers from my current location. We start heading that while the feather minions lead the way.

The mangleroots are located in the constant shade of a large rock and the ground is covered yellow by all the flowers. Like this we are gonna make a look of cash! I activate Sensor. Everything seems to be fine.

We start dragging up the the roots but I soon realize that I don’t have the strength to do so. I ask Rowan to make a tiny shovel with weapon creation. It suprises me that it works, can a shovel even be considered as a weapon?

Rowan drags them out of the earth without a problem, Morgana diggs into the ground with the help of her tail while Zar simply pulls them out with his mouth. After 10 minutes we have gathered around 70 mangleroots, all in perfect shape. That makes 140 copper coins! It’s almost as I’m rich!

Suddenly Zar spots an extra large flower and skips towards it. He bows down, grab the flower with his mouth, pulls and- A terrifying scream suddenly fills the air.

When we turn around I can see that what is in Zars mouth is not a regular mangleroot but a strange little creature with a flower on it’s head. It have thing twisted limbs, large black eyes and a gaping mouth.

Oh, I could probably have guessed that but still… But when will it stop screaming. It’s kinda annoying. Maybe I should teach it a lesson? Hehehe.

I tell Zar to give me the mandrake and to go stand behind Rowan. I grab it by the flower and stare into its seemingly endless eyes. I take a deep breath and use Death Scream. The mandrake goes silent and shakes wildly for a few seconds before it stops moving completely. It died… Crap, I didn’t mean to kill it, I just wanted to scare it…

“Boss, that wasss really cool”.

“Well of course! That monster didn’t stand a chance against mistress Death Scream!”

“Yay! Mama killed the scary thing!”

Guys, please don’t say it like that, you make me sound like a bad person. But how come Sensor couldn’t locate the mandrake? Was it because it was hidden? Was it a special skill, maybe Stealth? Before I have the chance to think anymore of it a blue screen pops up in front of me.

((Oh! I just leveled up!))

“Congratulations mistress!”

((Thank you Rowan. That reminds me. Morgana, Zar, you are still just minor earth golems, yes?))

“Yep, that’s correct bosss. Are you thinking what I think you’re thinking?”

((Only if what you’re thinking that I’m thinking is that it’s time for you two to evolve)).

“That is exactly what I wasss thinking”.

((Then what are we doing standing here? We have enough mangleroots and we can deliver them laterso with other words; Let’s do it!))

“Heck yeah!”

We spend the following hour training. Well, Morgana and Zar trained while Rowan and I coached them. And with that I mean Rowan was yelling at them to work harder while he chased them with his sword. I tried to stop him but the only thing he did was lowering the sword a bit.

Morgana tried to slither away but I stopped her. I wont let her skip training. I threatened with having Rowan use her as a stretch band if she tried anything like that again. After that she stopped trying to escape.

Morgana leveled up to level 4 but Zar only evolved to level two, yet they trained just as much. Is it because he is a child and he have not reached his growth period yet?

“Boss, I don’t know if I can do this anymore…” Morgana whispered in a weak voice, trying to keep Rowan from hearing her.

“Come on Morgana! You are almost there!” I encouraged her, also whispering.

“Sigh… Ok bosss but in return, after thisss is done I want a bath!”

“But you don’t need to bath you know?”

“But I want to try it! After the party a female adventurer entered the bath and it sssemed really comfy!”

“Well, if that’s all you want then I guess it’s ok”.

“Hehe, thankss bosss!”

Suddenly a large shadow covered. We turned around and behind us was Rowan.

“Morganaaaa. You thought you could escape training? Mwahaha, I think I have to teach you a lesson~”

*Gulp* I have never seen Rowan like this. I glance at Morgana. I think she is about to faint. She gives me a pleading expression. Sorry Morgana, I can’t help you, only pray. May the force be with you young padawan.

Half an hour later~~~

A blue screen popped up in front of me.

//Morgana have reached her max level and can now evolve! Pleace choose evolution path!//

((Morgana, Rowan, you can stop now! Morgana is about to evolve!))

“FINALLY!” Morgana shouted.

“What about me mama? Am I gonna evolve?” Zar asks, jumping around on the spot in anticipation.

((Sorry Zar, you cannot do that yet, you have not reached max level)).

“Oh…” Zar seems kinda sad now. Poor thing. I rub his head and he seems to feel a little better. But now let’s check out Morganas evolution choices!

Stone Snake(Named Variant)

Evolved version of minor Earth Golem in the shape of a snake. Higher agility than a regular stone golem but lower strenght. High defense and attack.

Being a named variant it’s stats become twice as strong.

Green Mana Crystal Snake(Named Variant)

A golem in the shape of a snake made out of green mana crystal, with high affinity for wind magic. Mediocre defense and health but high attack, MP, agility, luck and speed.

Commonly found in ancient temples deep within the dwarven countrys deepest mountains. Seen as a symbol of wealth and fortune.

Being a named variant it’s stats become twice as strong.

Morgana is immediatly enveloped in a bright light. Slowly her shape starts to change. After a while the light fades and we can see Morganas new appearence.

First of all, DAMN SHE GREW BIG. Before she was like one meter long but now she is about five meters! I can no longer carry her around my shoulders, I could probably not even carry her head!

Her previously brown scales have now turned mint green and seems to glow. They also seemed kinda spiky, like the spikes on a headhodge. Also she have gained two more eyes behind her normal pair.

“So, how do I look bosss?”

“You. Look. Freaking. AMAZING. Don’t you think so Rowan?”

“Well mistress, she do look more intimidating, like a real warrior”.

“Blockhead, your complimentss are the worssst”.

“Moga is beautiful!”

“Not that isss one good compliment kid”.

While they discuss Morganas new apperance I decide to check her new stats.
