《They said I could become anything so I became a _____!!!》Hero 2: Green

It's been one week since I got summoned to this world together with four other people. The ones that summoned us here have been giving us a lot of freedome. We are allowed to go anywhere at anytime and do anything we want... Except leaving the castle in which we are currently residing.
Most of us have gotten used to it but some are still shaken. One of the girls, Karen, locked herself in her room for the first two days before she came out, probably due to hunger. When others tried to talk to her she screamed and threw things at them. But after a while she too calmed down.
The one that took it best was maybe perhaps one of the boys besides me that got summoned. His name is Josh and is the same age as me. when the king "asked" for our help he immedeately stepped forward and accepted. He is really annoying.
He always says it is such an honor to have been "selected" and how we should think it is too. I hate those kinds of guys. Ever since we first arrived here the womens of the court have been all over him, like bitches in heat, and he LIKES it. Truly disguting.
The other guy besides me and him is pretty normal, fortunately. His name is Ian and he is two years younger than me. He's been keeping to himself most of the time, just like me, and have been practically living in the royal library. When asked about it all he says is "research". We don't bother each other, knowing that we both wanna be left alone.
There was another one that got summoned, another girl. I learned her name first three days ago, it is Lena. Just like Ian and me she prefers to be alone but she is not afraid to talk to others if needed. I don't know much about her, I have only seen her occasionally, but I know she is someone to avoid. She smiles when with others but when she thinks no one sees her her face twistes in disgust. She is also clinging onto Josh, using her body to appeal to him. And he falls for it every time. Not only is he annoying, he is stupid.
Me? I've been using my privilige as a so called "hero" walk around the castle. I have been eavesdropping on conversations when they think no one is listening, learning quite a bit. At first I was confused how we could understand them, even though we are from a different world but appearently it is because of a spell that translates what we hear and say. Truly convenient.

Also, as heroes, we've got a special ability called the Knowing by the people in this world. Some can use it by using a spell or an item but we can do it naturally. To put it simply it's a status menu, similar to what can be found in multiple games. It is really strange.
I open my status window.
Name: Marcus Richards
Title: Summoned Hero From Another World
Race: Human
Level: 1
HP 150h
MP 100@
It is always weird when it appears. It's a blue screen hovering in front of your face. You cannot touch it nor can anyone else see it unless they use the spell.
According to the king, the reason for our high stats is because we are summoned and that makes us many times stronger than other level ones from this world. That is the reason we got summoned in the first place.
Heh. If SHE was here she would have enjoyed it. She always liked games and light novels so this would have been really fun for her. If she was here she would probably say something like;
"Stats!? This is gonna be super amazing!!!"
Haha. Then she would have forced someone to teach her magic, before passing out from exhaustion.
I am currently sitting in one of the trees in the castles garden. I needed to get away from everything. I look around. The garden is surrounded by high walls, stopping people from coming in... Or out.
Recently some of the court ladies have been suggesting marriage, to their daughters of course. I always say no. There is only one person I may marry and she is gone...
"Sir Marcus! Please get down from that tree! What if you fall down!?" Someone is yelling at me. I look down.
Below the tree stands one of the kings daughters, princess Marnella. She is young, maybe 12 years at most but you can see that she will grow up to a beautiful woman. She's got wavy golden hair and emerald green hair. Right now her cheeks are dyed red and she is panting heavily. Did she run here?
"What do you want?" I ask.
"Sir Marcus, I beg you, please get down! What would I do if you fall down?" She answer with tears in her eyes.
I sigh before I jump down. I land on my feet, right next to her. She smiles and her teary eyes becomes dry.
"Thank you sir Marcus! Now do you mind telling me what you were doing up there?" she asks, tilting her head. I sigh once again. This girl really is...

"I was just taking a nap, nothing more" I answer, yawning a little.
"Ehhh??? Napping??? In a tree???" she exclaims, almost shouting.
I shush at her, putting my finger in front of my mouth.
"Calm down, princess, you don't want to alert the whole castle, do ya?"
Marnella calms down and shakes her head, staring into the ground. Her cheeks becomes an even stronger shade of red.
Sigh---
"Now princess, is there something you want?"
She opens her eyes, suddenly very excited.
"Oh that's right! Father wanted me to tell you there's a gathering in the throne room! You are gonna get your affinity checked!"
"Affinity?" I ask.
"Which element you are most compatible with that is! Now come on, we need to go!"
She grabs my hand and pulls me after her.
When we arrive outside the throne room she stops.
"Here we are! I have already done the affinity test. My element is water, just like my sister! Hehe, she is really strong, she is one of the strongest fighters in our kingdom!" She seems really proud of her sister. She is smiling from ear to ear. The she looks down and notices our hands, still tightly glasped together.
Her face becomes as red as a tomato and instantly releases her grip on my hand.
"I-I'm so sorry s-sir Marcus! I didn't mean t-t-to be so r-rude!" She turns around and runs away before I have a chance to answer.
Sigh... She really reminds me of HER in a way, the way she acts completely flustered in these kinds of situations. Well in HER case it's not that weird considering that she believed babies were made when a mom and a dad hold hands. Man was she shocked when she realised...
I take a deep breath and open the doors. Inside the room everyone have already gathered. They stare at me when I walk in. Josh is standing in the middle of the room with Lena grinding her "assets" on him.
Ian is leaning against one of the walls reading a book while Karen is standing in the corner, biting her nails.
The king is sitting on the throne and when I walk in he stands up.
"Dear heroes, I have called you here to decide which of the seven elements you belong to" he says. The king snaps his fingers and out of nowhere a servant clad in black appears. He steps in front of the king and kneels. Out of his robes he pulls out a glass orb with something white moving inside it. The king takes the orb from the servant that afterwards disappear.
"This" the king continues "is a device which is able to tell which element is your strongest. Now which one wants to be first?"
"Your highness, I will do it!" Josh exclaims. Of course you are the first one you prick.
Josh walks with big steps towards the king before he stops and stares at the orb, confused. Idiot, acting so confident when you don't know what to do.
The king, seeing Joshs confused expression explains how to do it and Josh smiles, like he always knew it and only needed to be reminded.
He puts his hands on the orb and after a while the orb starts glowing a red light.
"You have an affinity to fire magic, know for its fierce power" he states. Josh smiles even wider. "Now, who wants to be next?"
After Josh Karen walked up. When passing by Josh she gave him a quick hug, congratulating him. Of course she made sure to press her assets against him. That slut.
When she put her hands on the orb it glowed with a yellow light.
"The power of the earth! Known for it's incredible defense!" the king exclaimed.
Next up was Ian, still with his book in hand. But when he put his hand on the orb he temporary looked up. The orb glowed with a blue light.
"Water, the orgin of all! It's uses are many!"
After Ian Karen walked up with shaking legs. She almost missed the orb but when she put her hand on it it glowed with a red light.
"Another fire user! May both of you find this fierce power useful!"
Karen walked back into the corner and continued biting her nails. The king stared at me. Sigh. My turn now. Annoying...
I walk up towards the king and place my hand on the orb.
It starts shining, first with a dim light, then incredibly intense. The light blinded me, forcing me to close my eyes.
When I opened them I can see that the orb were green.
"Incredible! You seem to be really talented when it comes to wind magic!" The king looks happy. I walk away. It is done, it appears to be nothing else that he requires me to do... For now.
Behind me I can hear the king and Josh trying to stop me but I don't care. I never care anymore.
