Sorry for not uploading any chapters these past days. I have been visiting my family and when I came back home something was wrong with my computer and it refused to connect to the internet. But here is a chapter for you guys. Thank you for reading!

Ahhhhh~ What a good meal~ It's some kind stew with meat and vedgetables in a brown sauce. The meat is tender and kind of salty, with a stingy aftertaste. The vedgetables consist of a potato-like purple thing and something that looks like carrots, accept they are red like tomatoes and kinda sweet.

While Julia-sama can't sew she can cook really well! As a formely poor high shooler that used to live on cupnoodles when my parents were away, I can really appreciate this!

Sadly it's difficult for me to eat. Not only is it difficult holding a spoon with my wings, I have also noticed that since I reincarnated into this world I have had a difficult time eating hot food! Is it because I'm a bird? Does birds have a hard time eating hot food?

Mmmm, but that meal really hit the spot~ I am currently in food coma. You know, when you eat so much that you can't move? That's when you know you have had a good meal.

But there is something bothering me. There is something on my mind, something I wanna ask but I don't remember.

"Mistress was wondering about the other ones, Taros, new clothes."

"This one is happy to help mistress." For some reason I imagine Rowan smiling. He doesnt even have a face.

Now that I remember, time to ask! I jump up on my feet, then I fall on my knees. Damn food coma... You are the new Creshna!

But where is Taro? After the meal he disappeared somewhere. Luckily, thanks to our link I can sense him. He is... In Ansgars room? Is Ansgar awake? Now that I think about it, where is Julia-sama?

I go to Ansgars room and am about to open the door when I stop. I can hear voices behind the door. It's everyone. But what are they saying? I put my head against the door. What!? I promise I don't eavesdrop usually! It's just that... Something seems wrong. Taros and our mental bond seems, weakened. No, more like he is trying to close it. This have never happened before.

What is happening?

I activate Stealth and starts listening.

"-you must understand, it's not safe for her." It's Julia-samas voice.

"But I can't leave her! I WILL not leave her!" That is Taros voice. He sounds... Desperate. Even if he is trying to close of our bond I can still feel it. And with it I can sense his emotions. There is sadness and anger.

Someone sighs. Ansgar.

"I know this must be difficult for you but think of Ruth." Huh!? Me!? Well I guess it wasvpretty obvious but still! Ansgar continues. "If she follows you THERE she will without a boubt be taken from you, perhaps by the church. If that happens you will be forced to sewer your bond with her and will never se her again."

There's a slight pause. I can feel Taros anguish.

"... I don't want that to happen..." he says, with a weak voice, almost whispering. I could barely hear it.

"I am glad you understand sweetie. This is for the best. I will take care of her until you return home, I promise." Julia-sama is speaking softly.

I can hear someone move around in the room then how someone walks towards the door. Crap! I silently slink away from the door and try to look as innocent as possible.

The door opens and out walks Julia-sama. When she sees me she smiles, but I can see something else in her expression.

"Oh Ruth, I was just gonna go look for you. Do you mind coming in? We need to tell you something."

I nod and follows her into the room.

Ansgar is sitting on his bed while Taro is sitting on front of him on a chair. Besides Taro is another chair.

Julia-sama sits down and I sit down on the bed besides Ansgar. I look at Tara. He's got tears in his eyes and is looking down, refusing to look at me.

It's silent for a while, no one saying anything. Finally Ansgar breaks the silence.

"You may have noticed Taros new clothes Ruth. That is because Taro have been accepted into Sainhills magic academy and is gonna start next month. But sadly... You can't follow him there because of different reasons, and he wont be able to summon you the whole time he is there."

I look at Taro. He is about to burst totally into tears. This must be really difficult for him. I must help him.

((Oh really? Wow, Taro you are gonna become a real mage! That's so cool!))

Taro looks up, confused. Ansgar also looks kinda confused. Julia-sama looks confused because they look confused.

"A-are you r-really fine with this? We wont be able to see each other until the term is over!" Taro exclaims!

((Well, that is really sad but we are still best friends and we can always send letters to each others! And besides, when you come back we will have a lot to talk about! Then you can show me what you have learned!))

Taro starts smiling and Ansgar seems happy with me understanding.

"I know that you guys can hear her but remember, I CAN'T, so I would very much appriciate it if you explained what she said!" Julia-sama says, obviously annoyed.

Taro and Ansgar laughs. I smile. But inside I feel kinda empty. In this short time Taro and I have really bonded and after we did the contract we have grown even more attached to each other. The bond between us weird.

We can always feel the other ones consciousness and the closer we are to each other the more we can sense. For example we can feel the other ones emotions and according to Ansgar we can communicate with each other with telepathy, but at the moment Taro can only hear my thoughts. And if we are to far away from each other we can't communicate.

I don't know how fare away this school is but it's probably really far away if we can't met each other until the term is over then it gotta be pretty far away.

But why didn't they tell me why I can't follow Taro? I heard why when I listened throught the door but they don't know that. They told Taro but why not me? I don't understand. But I can't force them to tell me. Something inside me tells me that neither Ansgar nor Julia-sama will fall for Hypnotising Song. I have not checked Julia-sama but considering she is an ex-adventurer she is probably pretty high level.

And ever since Ansgar tried to Appraise me I am afraid that she will notice andgo devil-mode again. I have only seen it once but that is all I need to see to never want to see it again.

"Oh, that's right. Mrs. Julia, did you bring what I asked you?" Ansgar suddlenly asks.

"Hehehe yep!" Julia-sama walks out the room and when she walks in she is carrying a white glass orb, about the size of an adult mans head.

When I look closer I notice that the ord is actually see through but that there is white smoke cirkling around inside. Julia-sama gives the orb too Ansgar.

"Now do you remember when I said that I was gonna check out which element you had the most affinity with? Well this orb will show you which it is. Just put your hand on the orb, concentrate on your mana and it will tell you" Ansgar explains. He gives the orb to Taro.

"Now just do as I said."

Taro closes his eyes and concentrates. I can feel how mana is gathering around him and suddensly the mist inside the orb starts to change colour. Taro opens his eyes. The mist inside the orb have changed to a golden colour and is shining like the sun.

Ansgar and Julia-sama looks really suprised.

"Oh, it seems that you have a high affinity for light magic!" Ansgar exclaims. "That is highly unusual!"

Taro smiles, proud of the appearant praise. Julia-sama hugs Taro.

"I am so proud of you honey!"

Wow, is light magic really that rare? Well he is the champion of the godess of light so it's not that weird. Hehehe, I am also kinda proud of him, if I'm gonna be honest.

Taro turns around and looks at me.

"Ruth, now it's your turn!"

Huh?

"Taro, considering that Ruth is a Earth Priestess bird her strongest atribute is probably earth" Julia-sama explains.

"But we can still try, can't we?" Taro continues.

Julia-sama glances at Ansgar. He shurgs his shoulders.

"Haa, Ok sweetie, I guess it's fine. Ruth, would you kindly put your wings on the orb?"

Oh, this is gonna be interesting. But it is probably as Julia-sama said, that I have the earth attribute. I put my wings ln the orb. What was I supposed to do again? Oh that's right! Concentrate on you mana. We have done that with Ansgar so I know what to do. I close my eyes, just like Taro did.

Just imagine a cloud in the sky. The try to imagine that cloud condensating into a ball of clear water. Ok, I can see it. My mana is garhering.

I open my eyes.

Julia-sama and Ansgar stares at me in disbelief. I look at the orb. It's glowing with a strong, pulsating purple glow, kind of like a heart beat.

Suddenly I can hear Julia-sama whisper one single word.

"... Astral..."
