《Of Ghouls and Ghasts》Book 1, Chapter 26: Minions and the making thereof pt. 1

Well, I wasn’t expecting that… I looked from Morice to Akasha who also stared at the fainted man. “Did you use some sort of spell?” I asked her jokingly and the adorable girl shook her head almost violently. I had to chuckle at her as she looked down and blushed heavily.

I patted her head and smiled at her. “Just eat up, you little glutton.” I said with a kindly tone, the girl could eat that was for certain. I think I’ll have to spend most of my money on food for this little bottomless eating machine.

She had already eaten three skewers of street meat while at the market and now barely an hour later she was chowing down on a bowl of stew.

With that in mind, I looked from Akasha and over to Morice again. He reminded me a little of those characters in Japanese cartoons that slumped down, turned white as a sheet and had their soul hovering above them. While there wasn’t a soul hovering above him a little bit of drool was leaking down from the side of his mouth. Poor guy, he thought he was getting an apprentice ship to some big bad ancient necromancer and instead he got lil’ol me. I chuckled at the thought.

Now don’t get me wrong, I will teach him what I can and I do need a… sort of right-hand necromancer to help supplement my own forces when the time comes. Though I have some ideas for a rather interesting set of minions, though I’ll need to gather key bone parts to make them truly as I envisioned them. I got the idea when I was messing around with Warhammer miniatures to give a unit of ghostly knights my own personal flair.

I just got a windfall of materials, items and ideas for what is to come and I’d need to capitalize on it sooner or later. Why not use it as a teaching experience for Morice on what different materials can do to different minions.

I think I should explain a little about Morice, while he is a very low levelled and not experienced, hell I have more experience as a necromancer than him. And I’ve only been at this for maybe a week or two in reality. What he has that I don’t, however, is that he can raise minor Zombies, a skill he hasn’t even used once, which yes surprised the hell out of me.

I think I’ll have him raise wolves, much like myself but I feel perhaps I could get the dire wolf-like creatures as I remember a certain vampire faction of the old world. It would be very useful as lightning-quick semi-shock troops.

I also had an idea for the wyvern skeletons, I had it when I looked at my skeleton warrior, archer and rouge. The way the leather armour they had on had formed around them, like dried up hardened skin. If what I suspected it might do if I use the raise spectral skeleton on the wyvern with leather wrapped around their wings, maybe, just maybe they might be able to fly from the get-go?

I’d have to test that out but this Necroshade proved to be an interesting thing to come about. An old necromancer that was essentially just a spirit? Imagine if I could bind him to a skeleton under my will? I almost salivated at the thought.

I mentally propped my new soul space and looked over my minions before coming to a stop at the soulstone. I only had one of the soulstones that Morice had promised me but it was filled to the brim at this point. I sneaked it out of my satchel so people wouldn’t see me pull it out from thin air, when I did that with my minions it seemed to have caused quite the commotion and I didn’t need such attention right now.

I half rolled the rough-hewn ball on the table in front of me, using my index finger to fiddle with it a little. There was an idea coming into my mind but I couldn’t quite put my finger on it… yet.

“Hm? Ah!” Morice's waking mumbling pulled me out of my thought process and I looked up at him. Just at the same time as Akasha did the same after finishing her stew bowl and looking rather satisfied with herself now.

“Is it true?” Morice’s words caused me to look at him once more. “Are you Arkhan?” He asked with a whisper and I nodded to him. The lad slumped a little at my nod and seemed to deflate.

“Don’t worry, I’ll still teach you what I can and I’m rather certain you’ll be able to learn quite a bit from me.” I said with a smile and the boy gave me a dubious look. I snorted at him and ruffled Akasha’s hair with a smirk at the pout she gave me. “How do you use skills?” I asked him with an almost air of indifference.

Morice looked at me with a strange look before he answered, most likely trying to think the question through before answering. “You just use them, right?” He asked me and I smirked at him.

“Not really, creative use of your skills can evolve or even grant different skills.” I said with a smirk to the stunned look of Morice. It was then that I realized something, most people in this world simply used their skills as intended not trying to feel out the limits of their skills, save the truly powerful and/or intelligent. I’d have to make sure those that knew of my little flair of skill use were as loyal as possible to me and me alone.

I wouldn’t betray those that showed their loyalty to me but I’d want some way of knowing that betrayal wasn’t possible. Oaths of words would be useless to me, I knew the word of others could always be broken. I needed something that bound those loyal to me, to me so that they would know their loyalty to me would be returned from myself to them as well.

I hardened my gaze as I looked directly into Morice’s eyes, the boy suddenly stiffened and gave me wide eyes. “What I teach you, won’t leave your lips to another unless I permit it.” I said, my voice cold and with such promise of violence that the boy swallowed. “If you betray me, know this. Death holds little sway over me so I’ll eventually crawl my way back and I will hunt you down without fail.” I got shivers from the low growl my voice had taken on as an undercurrent.

I knew Morice wouldn’t take that threat lightly, especially after having seen me in action while I was disguised.

A light sniffle from the side drew my attention towards Akasha who seemed on the verge of tears. I froze, not realizing or rather suddenly remembering she was there as well. Before I could do anything Akasha had somehow managed to come up next to me and had hugged me almost tightly enough that I couldn’t breathe. She said something into my chest that was much to muffled I couldn’t make a word of it out.

I did, however, think about it a little and thought I knew what she seemed so upset about. I guessed she had, had a tough life. I lowered my hands and hugged her. “I won’t be going anywhere, little Akasha.” I softly almost cooed at her, only to get an adorable tear-filled pout as she turned her head up to look at me. She seemed both angry and sad… anad? Sagry? Whatever.

Before I or even Akasha could speak a sudden rush came in and before I knew it Akasha was in the arms of Leila who was cooing and hugging her rather tightly. Before I could speak I heard Morice chuckle, is that brat laughing? I looked at him quickly but had to laugh when he explained himself. “Seems the rule of no mater how scary a father is they are weak to their daughters.” He said and I had to laugh with him. Akasha was then swept away in Leila’s arms while looking at me for help. I only gave her a weak smile as she disappeared into the back of the inn.

I wasn’t worried since I knew Leila was a good woman, perhaps she intended to do something to that wild mane of hers.

I still didn’t know why I had adopted her. I had heard of people bonding with their Roomba’s of all things so maybe she was something like that to me? Was she my little Roomba? Maybe I’ve just grown lonely and wanted to do some good before my revenge.

I sighed a little and shook my head before looking over at Morice once more. “You might be right about that.” I said with a light smirk.

“Tell me do you have bone crafting as a skill?” I asked him silently and he shook his head. I sighed a little but couldn’t really blame him. I hadn’t gained that skill until I had tried to use bone weapon creatively. Perhaps I should get all the bone skills, be the grand daddy of bone or something.

Bone lord sounds too much like some porn name for my tastes anyway. Heck so does bone daddy and I feel that would be even worse with Akasha around me. I don’t need that type of reputation in the days to come.

I had ideas on how to change and improve my minions, hopefully enough for Ashes and Dust to actually be capable of flight if everything works out. I just hoped it actually would work out. First I wanted to try and change up the skeleton warrior with two weapons. I looked down and watched the soulstone in front of me on the table. “Master... Vlad, I managed to fill another if you wish me to hand it over?” Morice’s words made me look up at him and hum a little.

“How many do you think?” I asked him as I made the soulstone go into my soul space. I glanced down at the ring that had unlocked that nifty little ability within me. It reminded me now of a black simple ring with a silvery script that had turned to Norse runes once I had placed it on.

I took that as the supposed ‘ancestors are watching over me’ type feeling. I smirked a little inwardly at the thought of Vikings liking what I was doing.

“I’d say eight or nine.” Morice’s response made me smile a little and rub at my chin. This seemed to pique Morice’s interest and he leaned in, even scooting over to the corner of the table next to me. He looked at me expectantly and I had to chuckle, he seemed like an excited puppy for some reason in my head.

“I have an idea for an experiment. We have all the materials we’ll need safe something I’d like for you to buy for me.” I began and Morice looked at me with a wide smile as if to tell me to tell him what to get for this experiment. “I need leather, treated, scraps and all thicknesses. I also need two full suits of armour, even if it’s made of iron wood. I’ll also need cloth, scraps or simply torn cloth will do though try to get darker colours for this experiment all right?” I watch the boy nod eagerly as I handed him a pouch of almost fifty gold to get everything.

I watched him almost skip out the tavern doors while I stood and walked over to the back of the inn. Aldis, the inn’s owner, gave me a nod and pointed me to were my daughter was. Wow… daughter, you really change when your almost thirty-five years old huh? I still remember the day as a teenager I had proudly declared I’d never make or raise children since I wasn’t suited for it. Times change don’t they?

“Dad!” Akasha’s chipper tone drew me out of my mind and I had to snicker a little. Akasha’s white hair was almost as if she’d touched a live wire, spread all over the place like a shitty imitation of a peacocks tail feathers. She saw me snicker and gave me the cutest little angry face, her lips drew into an almost pucker and her eyes half-closed as she looked at me as if I’d go up in flames if she stared hard enough. On her, it wasn’t threatening at all.

“Well if that’s how you're going to be I’ll leave you here with Leila.” I said with a teasing smirk at her. Akasha actually stopped and seemed to think about it. That kinda made me panic inwardly for a few moments.

“If you’re going out, I won’t mind spending the day with her here.” Leila said as she parted the fan of Akasha’s hair. I gave her an amused look to which she seemed to almost blush. “What? it’s like her hair’s never been washed or even combed. It’ll take a long while to get through all of this.” She said and I had to snicker at that. Women, no matter the world never changed, huh?

“I’ll be back soon.” I said as I went down on one knee in front of Akasha and handed her a small spatial ring. “Inside is Abhorash, he’ll protect you if you need it while I’m not here.” I said low and in a manner that only Akasha would hear me. She gave me a fierce look as she took the ring and nodded in a determined manner.

I smiled at her and pinched the little glutton’s cheek. “Don’t eat them out of house and home now.” I said winking at Akasha who pouted and blushed heavily before letting her lips go and her cheeks ballooned as she blew a raspberry at me.

I gave her a look and playfully stuck my tongue out at her before heading off. I was glad Aldis and Leila were such good people. If they weren’t I’d most likely had, had to drag Akasha off to the forest to watch me and Morice play with bones. I was rather certain it wouldn’t be all that fun for her to watch. No, She knew I wanted to protect her by handing her the ring with Abhorash inside it. If my coming experiment actually succeeded or worked as I hoped, I might be able to forcefully rank him up or something.

Two hours… TWO HOURS!!! Morice couldn’t ride a horse for shit, even Svadilfari who was likely the smoothest ride I’d ever had. Morice somehow fell off, I had to summon one of the trolling skeletons to simply holding him down in the saddle.

I almost glared at him as he sat there in the clearing panting and complaining, on his ass. I had half a mind to kick the bastard in the head but refrained. I’d have to train him to be actually able to sit in the saddle if we were going to leave Bedelev any time soon.

“I’m… sorry.” Morice said panting as he noticed the glares I was shooting him. “I’ve never ridden a horse before.” He apologies to me and I sighed, letting out all my annoyance in a deep exhale.

“It’s ok, I assumed everyone could ride.” I answered giving him a sort of ‘no worries’ gesture with my hand before I summoned all of my skeletons. I eyed the unknown slot in my spectral skeleton list and wondered not for the first time. “When the hell did I summon the first one?” I thought aloud as I couldn’t remember raising one before.

With that done I let out all the corpses I had managed to get from my little trip to the black market and had the skeletons go about organizing the skeletons while parting them as well. I had them part them so that I could see what bone belonged were as I had one skeleton of a human laid out before me with a ghoul’s freshly cleaned bones next to it.

I put my hand up to my chin and began to think, not even noticing Morice before he spoke. “What are you planning to do?” He asked me and I looked over to him.

“Creative construction of skeletal minions.” I said with an air of mystery to myself. This only seemed to confuse the lad a little so I sighed. “I’m going to try and see if I can’t make my minions better through the bone crafting skill.” I sighed out at him. He perked up at hearing that.

I had him take out everything he had bought and I even got thirty gold back from his shopping trip. I understood why I got so much back when I saw the armours he had bought. Four in total, two made entirely out of wood and the other two made out of a corroded copper and rusted iron blend. That is if those swirls of copper, metal, orange and green splotches of colour on the armour were any indication.

I gave Morice an annoyed look and he just sheepishly shrugged. I’d really have to teach him from ground level, wouldn’t I? I then had him take out all skeletons and bones he had at his disposal and had him set them up in an orderly manner like I had, had my minions do.

I moved on to one of the already placed human skeletons and began to mould the bone to my whim. It was a lot harder than I had thought, while bone weapon simply formed as a weapon I pictured in my mind and knew how it worked, this was like imagining something and then trying to draw it without any practice. It took a while for me to get the hang of it.

Morice hovered over my shoulder the entire time and disrupted my concentration more than once with stupid questions. Questions like ‘what are you doing?’ ‘Why are you doing that?’. I almost made a gag out of bones for him.

I stood up once I had finished to look over my creation. It looked rather similar to an almost mummified and calcified human corpse. Though this one had balls where the joints would be to allow for better range of movement as well as thick bone plates which took on the form of half mummified skin. It was a compact creation, looking almost like a human being with no insides and the skin brought in as tightly as possible.

The skull I had done only a little modification to, making it a little more angular and even made the sockets seem like it was perpetually angry. That along with the vampiric canines I added to it gave it a rather scary look.

Morice looked on with such fascination that I had to chuckle. While annoying at times he had this earnest quality to him that made it hard for me to be mad at him. He reminded me of myself during the happier times when I was still Aona’s hero. That thought soured my mood somewhat and I walked to some of the useless bones that had simply been piled up.

With that I created a sort of regalia of bone, even gaining the bone armour skill for my troubles. I threaded in some of the cloth scraps to create a sort of cape coming from the waist down, with a wider cloth coming down in front. I made the armoured guard the skeleton’s hips and thighs with the cloth giving it a sort of undead Egyptian sorcerer type look.

Then I created a chest guard which had a smooth yet almost spiky design to it, coming down around only the chest of the skeleton, leaving it’s empty abdomen alone and unguarded. Then I added a sort of tiny tattered cape or cowl I suppose. It came around and under the armour leaving the tattered cloth to fall down beneath the armour my maybe ten or twenty centimetres with a tattered hood this undead could put up if it wanted. Then I added in armoured boots around the legs, the overall look for the armour I took from the designs of the vampire counts, tomb kings and dark elf armours from the Warhammer old world.

With all of that done I took a step back and looked upon my handy work. It looked like some sort of vampire sorcerer or warlock that had been starved for far too long. “Wow, what is this undead called?” Morice asked me and I half chuckled half exhaled as I turned to look at him. I’d have to find a name for this type of undead in the end wouldn’t I? Perhaps I’d name this type after what I envisioned for them to do?

“I’m creating undead, using bone crafting I can design them to look as I wish before I even use my skills to raise the thing.” I explained and then looked down at the undead and got another idea. Shortly after I had added another set of arms and modified the armour to accommodate the extra arms. They were connected to just bellow the shoulder blades so they came out bellow it’s normal arms. These were much slimmer and longer with four joints instead of the normal three. The hands had four fingers, two of which worked like thumbs though on either side of the hand. Like the normal fingers, each ended in claw-like tips.

I smiled widely at that. “I think this one will be perfect.” I said as I took out the other almost filled soulstone. “Now how do I get one out.” I muttered to myself as I stared at the rough-hewn orb. I tried to use soul crafting which I had also gained once I had tried to mess around with the souls before raising a spectral undead. I gently teased out one of the souls within the orb and handed it over to Morice who simply looked on with awe. Guess he’s been starved for necromancy knowledge huh?

I pulled and shaped the soul around the skeleton, aligning each part of it to each part of the skeleton itself. It was hard work and took me almost a full hour of intense concentration, I was thankful Morice staid silent during the process. Once everything was done I used my skill of raise spectral skeleton and watched everything click into place.

Then… nothing happened. No notification, no jerking of the skeleton, no nothing! I scrunched up my lips in frustration as I watched it do absolutely nothing. Did the system that governs this world freeze up or something?

I spat and cursed up a storm in almost four different languages as I growled in anger and frustration. “Um… Master Vlad?” The hesitant voice of Morice made me turn around to see the skeleton convulsing and jerking around. I froze and just stared as small cracks of ethereal blue sprouted around the skeleton’s frame like roots growing out of it.

Then they all shrunk back in and up rose the skeleton. Jerky and as unnaturally as I thought possible, it turned its legs almost a full 180 before turning them the right way and it’s arms did the same. Once it had finally stood though a little hunched over its eyes sprang to life with the blue glow of ethereal fire, much like Abhorash’s own eyes.

It looked at Morice and with a loud click it opened, it’s maw. “Where is my master?” It asked in a raspy and throaty voice, like old parchment being ran along the edge of a table. I stood behind it and coughed a little which made it turn to look at me. “Master.” It then said and I could have sworn it smiled at me.

Then it walked the two steps towards me and took a knee. The lower set of arms over its knee while one of the upper ones went to its heart with a fist. “What shall be my purpose master?” It asked me.

I looked at it and smiled wide. Now this would be very interesting if I could make some custom skeletons and even create different castes for what I had planned up north. “You will be named Vashanesh.” I began placing my hand upon its head and willing my idea for this one through my hand. “You will become the first of the coming Necrotechs, engineers of great buildings, bastions of stone, steel and bone and caretakers of your bone breathern. You will create a fortress that will be unassailable, create armies of siege engines of bone and sinew and will uphold and maintain the dead under my command.” I said in an almost ceremonial manner. The skeleton looked up once my hand left its head then nodded almost reverently.

Choose your new minions class.

Engineer: Non-combat related class but vital in designing and supervising building and constructions of any type.

Necromancer: Raiser of the undead and master of dark magic.

Apprentice: This is the first rank before magically focusing the user to different forms of magic.

At that choice, I looked at Morice first before I made my choice. “How many necromancer class tomes do you have?” I asked him and he began to look through his bags. He then took out one of the books and handed it over to me. I nodded to him, it seemed he felt like this was some sort of ceremonial ritual, though in reality it was just my created undeads quirk.

I chose the engineer and the apprentice classes and then handed the book over. “You shall learn the art of necromancy as well. Focus on bone crafting and the like first and foremost. Enchanting and golem making would also be of great use in the future.” I said and Vashanesh reverently accepted the tome and bowed his head to me.

He opened the tome and seemed to only read the first sentence before the tome disappeared into a white smoke with tiny pinpricks of light within it. Then it swirled around before almost be sucked into Vashanesh’s eye sockets. So these tomes are one time use huh? Shit.

I looked from Vashanesh who seemed to be focusing in on himself for the time being, to Morice. “So then shall we design an undead for you?” I asked with a smile. Morice’s eyes seemed to glitter in excitement.

“Really?!” He said with such a wide smile I had to laugh a little. He looked around with glittering eyes from one skeleton to another before stopping at one of the griffon skulls he had brought with him. I smiled a little as he took some of the claws and a whole lot of femurs along side the only griffon ribcage and spine he had. He looked at me a little sheepishly as if he felt a little like he was picking the choicest pieces for himself.

“What are you thinking of making?” I asked with a smirk.

“Umm… I was thinking a big sort of warrior type?” He answered and I began to think of all the undead I had read about and seen from earth’s movies, literatures and various games.

“Hmm perhaps something like a Morghast?” I thought aloud and noticed the eager look from Morice and I grimaced a little. “I think I’m skirting the edges of copyright at this point with all the names I’ve been using.” I groaned to myself, Morice looked at me funny.

I decided to work with what I had and went to crafting this undead with Morice. At the end, we looked upon a brute of almost three meters tall, thick bone plates covering the creature as if armour of some ancient dinosaur. It would stand on two powerful legs that ended in a three-toed dinosaur-like legs of thick bones, it’s arms much the same with four claw-tipped fingers that could grip a man’s head with ease.

I added a few of the bone plates around the griffon skull but we also decided to add in a pair of horns with a tiny protrusions on the beak to give it a sort of blade-like appearance. This was to allow for a secondary attack with its mouth as well. These would work well as heavy infantry that was for certain. I wonder if I should just wait to armour these with actual metals and some good weapons as well.

“What do you think?” Morice asked me with a huge smile on his lips, he’d grown so excited I had to liken him to a kid on Christmas or something of the like.

“I think this thing will be a beast in combat.” I said with a smirk. “What should we call it, or should we try to make these as their own sort of unit?” I asked while rubbing my chin.

Morice looked at me strangely before asking tentatively. “You speak as if you plan to make an army or kingdom even.”

I looked at him and then chuckled a little to myself. “I guess if you are going to be my apprentice then I suppose you should know what you're getting yourself into.” I said and then proceeded to tell him of my goal to build my kingdom in the north and the inevitable war to come with Wolfsguard.

Morice’s eyes seemed to grow wider and wider until he seemed to vibrate with excitement. “And you chose to make me your apprentice with such goals in mind?” He asked as his lips turned to a wide smile.

I laughed lightly but genuinely before nodding. “Yeah, I knew I wouldn’t be able to do this alone even if I manage to make several necromancer like minions to raise armies. I also need the living around me to keep me in check.” I said looking over the laying beast we had made.

“Keep you in check?” Morice asked almost looking bewildered.

I looked at him almost sadly. “Yes, I don’t want to rip through the innocent in my quest for revenge. I know many will die once my war begins, there are at least two kingdoms in the way to Wolfsguard after all and I fear they won’t let my army pass with ease. I want you to help me to only deal with those that stand in my way, I do not wish to put entire cities to the torch.” I explained to him, the corruption that Chernabog had called to my attention I’d keep to myself for now.

A heavy silence fell over us after that as we worked, I was simply picking through the bones. I looked over to one of the Trollings and suddenly something occurred to me. “Morice… I don’t suppose some hunters with a live troll passed by recently?” I asked as I remembered my personal promise to try and help Trolgar if I could in any way.

Morice raised an eyebrow at me for such a sudden change of topic after such a heavy moment right before. “Uh… Well I do remember some talking about that, I think they are headed to the newly erected colosseum in Desma.” He answered me before looking at our creation in thought.

I took out the map of the continent and saw it wouldn’t be too much of a detour on my journey, though I also realized it would have been faster to go through the Deep woods to get there. My aim was the area where the White fjords met the Vast peaks. Such a location must have a defensible area and if not, I could always use the mountains themselves as cover. That gave me an idea of using the dwarven penchant to build their cities inside the mountains for my own purposes.

“Necrai.” Morice’s voice pulled me out of my thoughts once more and I looked at him with a raised eyebrow. “Necrai, I think we should call this type of undead Necrai.” He said as he pointed at our creation. I smiled and took out the smallest storage ring I had and just managed to put the entire thing into the ring, filling it entirely and handing it over to Morice.

“We’ll raise the Necrai once you’ve grown strong enough to do so.” I said with a smile and Morice gave me a huge smile in return.

“Perhaps we should create guardians then?” Vashanesh’s raspy voice made both me and Morice turn our heads towards him. “We should create guardians to watch over the masters of this new kingdom to come.” He said again and I could have sworn he smirked a little at me.

How a skull can smirk is beyond me though.

“Hmm Eternals…?” I muttered to myself and smiled. “We’ll require some good metals to make the ones I have in mind though. As well as strong bones to use in their creation. Before that though.” I said looking over to the Anubian skeletons and smirking almost wickedly. “Perhaps I should create the first lesser Ushabti?”

Vashanesh looked over to the same skeletons and seemed to begin chuckling a little to himself. “The name sounds rather interesting, though I have bone crafting and raise lesser skeleton I feel this should be done by you, my lord.” The Nercotech said as he lowered his head to me.

I cracked my fingers and walked over to one, I’d have to make the bones slightly bigger and thicker. Once that was done I gave them a similar waist armour to Vashanesh. Though I had it look much more Egyptian themed than his as well as those circles around the neck that so many have in the movies. I made small ears from bones as well and finally ended it with giving it a bone Great Kopesh before I raised it as a simple medium skeleton.

It lumbered up and stood easily three heads above me as it wielded its Kopesh and then took up a position as a guard just outside the clearing. I looked at Vashanesh and smirked. “I trust you watched me work? Create the other three the same way but I’ll raise them for you.” I ordered and Vashanesh went to work with surprising gusto.

I then looked at the soulstone I had forgotten about as it lay there in the grass next to where Vashanesh was made. Perhaps I should work on my already existing skeletons? I think The rouge could do with some good enhancements, maybe give him the whips of bone I had made in the black market? I grinned wide at the thought of a unit of such warriors at my command.

With a wave of my hand I summoned my skeleton rogue and I had it collect from the miscellaneous bone pile. My mind suddenly stopped and I looked at Morice, who had gone over to watch Vashanesh work. “Moorice” I half sang at him, he turned around and looked at me almost fearfully once he noticed the smile on my lips. “I think there’s an experiment I have in mind that your skills would be beneficial for. Vital in fact.” I said before summoning my warriors and archer as well. I mentally sent them into the forest to catch some… materials for the experiment.

Morice looked at me with wary curiosity as if I was messing with him but he so wanted to believe me. I scoffed and went on to try my hand at modifying an already existing skeleton with the rouge. “Just wait until my minions get the corpses. Oh, Try to see if Vashanesh can’t manage to teach you bone crafting.”
