《my big sister is a demon lord | 我的姐姐是個大魔王》Adventure | 冒險 | アドベンチャー

"Let's start our grand adventure, little brother~ ♡"
Amae eagerly opened the grand doorway that led to the outside world.
A captivating scene captured my eyes.
Myriad of monsters, varying from all species and sizes, prepared their designated task on the palace's courtyard. Out of the countless creatures, the general of the Commanders — Warwick — stood out prominently. Maybe it was because of his golden-white panoply or how the werewolf was howling loud orders to his subordinates.
"He must be the drill sergeant of this world."
"What is that title you speak of?"
Amae tilted her head and gazed at me curiously.
"I suppose it's like an instructor for the military. To train the army for combat... something like that."
I'm not exactly sure.
I wish I retained more knowledge about my world...
It'll be cool if I knew how to make a gun and help big sister out.
Too bad the only skills I am good at is cooking.
Standing next to the porch, Kai'Sa bowed and seemed to be waiting awhile. Her dark skin-tight suit captured the sheer fitness of her body. The expression she wore was an inscrutable one, radiating an aura of mystery and power.
"Lord Amae."
"Report."
"Mastermage Xy and the Archmage Council confirmed within the Citadel of Z. Encampment location is cleared. No signs of anomaly."
"Excellent scouting. Update other Commanders and conclude the final preparation. The Fallen shall begin their conquest after I take my little brother for a walk."
"Understood."
Kai'Sa glanced at the translucent watch on her left wrist, which depicted a hologram of fluctuating data and moving graphs.
"Optimal time for assault is during the peak of Duo Moon. I suggest striking when the High Elves are in celebration."
"An excellent suggestion," Amae nodded and waved her right hand. "Continue your duty and update as needed."
"Yes, Lord Amae."
With a reverent bow, Kai'Sa dematerialized into thin air, leaving several motes of purple light in her position before vanishing completely.
"What's Duo Moon?" I asked.
"At the realm where the Elves reside, two moons orbit their atmosphere alternatively. They consider it a holiday when both lunars are in the sky."
"Realm? Does this mean we are in a different realm since there's only one moon here?"

"Ara~ you're a smart boy." Amae patted my head approvingly. "Yes, every realm contains unique geographical rules. There are twelves realms in this universe and I govern three of them~"
Three realms?!
That sounds like a huge deal.
Does that mean Amae is the leader of three nations?
No, realm sounds more like a continent...
"Let us continue~"
"Yes, big sister."
The pristine-white staircase in front of us was wide and marbled, offering complete visibility of the whole courtyard that was the size of a stadium. Amae held my hand as we slowly descend.
"What are those five doing?" I pointed to the Demon Summoners, creating a translucent dome-shaped magic circle with their hands, which enveloped the entire troops.
"Channeling an extremely difficult spell called 境界經線," Amae patted my head gently. "It allows us to warp our encampment to the designated coordinate."
"Everything here?"
"Yes, everything within the courtyard will be transported."
Wow.
I thought about the possibilities. This magic spell was truly, utterly overpowered. Magically teleporting an entire army to a location gives surprise attack a new meaning.
As we stepped onto an elevated floating platform, some of the monsters noticed us. Like a ripple effect, many turned their heads to our direction and bowed. It was unsettling to see thousands of troops cease their current action in a matter of seconds. Their coordination was so immaculate, which only indicated the devotion they had for their master.
"Arise."
Amae's voice was amplified by magic. While it could be heard clearly across the field, the loudness did not reduce her omnipotent gravitas.
"The time is upon us," Amae waved her hand in a motion befitting of a supreme ruler. "We shall cut into the hearts of the High Elves, capture the Citadel of Z and decimate any enemies that stand in our way!"
"In the name of Fallen, this we swear!"
Their voices were filled with power, indicating the adamant loyalty and determination that resided deep in their hearts. Sprouting her majestic pair of black-feathery wings like a goddess, all the vassals were completely mesmerized.
"Fight! For the future that we envisioned!"
"All hail Demon Lord Amae-!"
As the entire army genuflected before us, Amae held me tightly in her embrace. Her wings fluttered, creating gust on the ground while we ascended like deities. The cheers maintained until we disappeared into the heavens.

"Where are we going?"
"Let us spend quality time before the campaign."
I understood Amae's intention. She was trying to balance between conquering the world and being with me. This was the overly-protective big sister I knew. That I fell in love with.
"Alright," my heart beamed as we continued to soar upwards.
The scene was sparkling, dotted by an endless mass of fluffy white clouds. It made me forgot about the terror of heights as I truly took in the subtle beauty of this foreign land.
"I love this realm."
"Me too, I'm glad you took me outside again."
We paused and enjoyed this moment. Simply watching the ineffable beauty that was right in front of us. After a brief pause, I asked softly:
"Why do you want to conquer the world? I know I never really asked."
"I want to create a world of harmony, as my present to you for reincarnation and becoming my vowed partner," Amae let out a sheepish smile. "Is that a foolish reason?"
So she wants to give me the perfect life.
"It's not," I blushed. "It's not a stupid reason at all."
We paused as our eyes locked gaze.
What is this feeling?
Our face instinctively moved closer and closer.
My heart is beating so fast.
The two of us pressed our lips together. A nostalgic feeling resurfaced. The last time we kissed was during Love Contract, months ago and I still crave it.
Her lips are so warm and nice.
I love her so much.
After a few seconds, we broke off the kiss so oxytocin would not overwhelm my body. I averted gaze and felt my cheeks growing hotter.
"What was that about...?"
"Fufufu... Hold on tight, little brother ♡"
"What—"
—Amae proceeded to carry me like a child and entrusted herself to inertia. And then we fell. Both of us descended at a rapid speed, like a pair of birds sailing in synchrony.
The flight down was superb. Like Amae, I was smiling. Grinning in utter happiness.
The remarkable sunlight and gentle gale, sweeping through my heart.
The beautiful sight of pastel blue sky, slightly tinged in pink.
The sweet scent of my older sister while she held securely onto me.
My emotions were overwhelmed — with feelings for my one true pair.
Ah.
I'll always remember this moment.
Before I know it, we safely landed on the ground. She finished the flight with one final kiss planted softly on my forehead.
"Little brother, no one knows what the future may hold. But one thing is certain — my future belongs with you."

Ahri wore the same figure-hugging white kimono, but this time it was matched with a long-red skirt that indicated modesty and poise. Her snow-white hair shimmered like water under the moonlight. Of course, the Priestess was holding her signature pipe at her index finger, sitting casually in front of me and puffing away.
Amae and her military already teleported away. Big sister insisted I stay behind with Ahri until the site was thoroughly examined by her.
"Your safety is of paramount importance."
Thus, I found myself sitting in the palace rooftop, snacking on a homemade chocolate bar Neko and I made after my flight with Amae.
"How old are you, human?"
"Eighteen years old. You?"
"Nine hundred and twenty-six."
"What?! That's almost a thousand!"
The fox ears above wiggled as Ahri quirked up the corner of her mouth into a pleasant smile.
"Surprised?"
I nodded.
"Then hear this."
The Shrine Priestess leaned close to my ears and whispered. She was right. In fact, chills even shot down my spine.
"Meowzers..." My voice trailed off into an unbelievable whisper. "You were Amae's mentor...?"
"Indeed. I still remember when that pesky little demon was a young apprentice, with dreams of changing the world. An idealistic and passionate one. Now she's actualizing it into a reality, she sure grew up fast. There was a funny time—"
—Suddenly, a void-black portal appeared beside us. Ahri stood up and smiled.
"Let us depart, human. We will have plenty of time later for small talks."

A Girl and Her Food
When a lost girl wakes up without a name, she quickly finds herself alone in a way that people around her can’t fix. Without a real plan and desperate to find what’s wrong with her, she thrashes and bites to stay alive. But human beings are weak things, that band together for strength, no matter who we are. Now if only she could work up the courage to ask one question... It’s normal to get stronger when you drink the blood of monsters. Right? Things to expect: - A powerful but kinda neurotic and emotional protagonist, with some degree of weak to strong. Or maybe strong to stronger, honestly. She's pretty rational and practical about things but won't always make the best decisions, so be warned if you super-dislike characters doing dumb stuff for emotional reasons sometimes. - Lots of dialogue and characterization, especially as we get more into it. It's focused on a single POV, but there might be some sections of other POVs later on, I'm not sure right now. - Magic is on the softer side, but I'll try to keep things fleshed out enough to avoid any obvious "well-established magic could have seemingly instantly solved this problem" moments. - I didn't add the mystery tag because I feel like it implies that this is a detective novel or something, but the story is absolutely incredibly opaque at times. So you'll have the most fun if you go into it trying to puzzle out the nature of events before they're explicitly explained!😇 - Also, I added the genre for completion, but it's gonna take a while to get to the romance. Please wait warmly and have some tea. Participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge!
