2: Healing and forbidden magic
Healing magic is actually very complicated.
First, you have to understand the difference between internal and external mana. It's somewhat similar to the difference between HP and MP in a game.
External mana is used to activate magic, while internal mana is naturally used by the body to function. When the body gets hurt, it uses up internal mana to heal.
What healers can do is:
1) Lend their external mana to others.
2) Convert their external mana into internal mana. Since they can be given more than the maximum their body would normally have, this also means they can heal from wounds they would otherwise cripple or kill them.
However, there’s also a third step to healing that isn’t always necessary.
3) They can also take back their own mana if it hasn't been fully used. The "forbidden magic" Dominic used against the viscount was actually just a loophole in this process.
It's pretty easy to understand if you compare it side by side.
If the healer were to give the command to take their mana back, how would the recipient's body know what mana belongs to them and what doesn't? It's not like the body has a reserved parking space for foreign mana—it would be impossible to separate.
So who does this "mixed" mana belong to? The answer is actually both of them. After all, the recipient was able to heal using it. And this also means that the healer can still give it the command to come back.
This means that a healer who knows this forbidden trick can completely drain a person's life force at any time as long as they have healed them at least once in the past.

In a fight with them, he falls into the eyes of the detachment of the sacred order, after which they, having estimated its potential, take it to themselves and, with their patronage, he enters the academy. At the academy, he meets new friends, and his origin is revealed there. Since he is the only male descendant, he can claim the title and possession of his father. Thanks to this, our hero receives a certain amount of attention from the opposite sex. After training, Marzio learns about the so-called knowers who are aware of the artifacts of the ancients and how things truly are. New prospects are opening up for him, but also new dangers. He becomes part of the squad that helped him. And using modern for us and futuristic for the Middle Ages, small arms are engaged in protecting the secrets of the church and persecuting a group calling themselves apostates, who want to reveal all the cards that will drive the world into a new branch of chaos and the fight against the regime. As cover, his order sided with minor rulers to fight the old-fashioned way and maintain the balance of power. More and more secrets are revealed to Marzio, and a serious intriguing game unfolds behind him, into which he is sucked in with more and more force. But the hero is the hero, in order to grow and cope with the twists and turns of fate, he stoically withstands all trials and even not knowing about the threats from the east and another continent continues to go forward to meet his fate, for the sake of freedom, revenge and struggle.

The things borrowed from the games are as followed: Hope's Peak Academy, and the structure of 16ish hyper-skilled teenagers trapped in an enclosed space and being subjected to a motive, a murder, an investigation, a trial, and an execution of the presumed killer. There are no spoilers, tie ins, or previous knowledge required of the series to read this story!
