Inside the shed, a fiery chill encompassed Lucifer`s body, he laid unconscious while the black ooze sculpted the interiors of its host. It submerged into his organs and bones, invigorating them with the nutrients of the lives he had devoured. His brain was proficiently reconstructed to a superior degree. The bones in his body grew in density; his slits gained a emotionless blue hue. Even though his vessel looked human, it had evolved beyond that.
The black ooze after restructuring its host went dormant once again. Lucifer`s consciousness returned, as he sat upright. He reminisced the way he had devastated everything, Tetra`s colossal bloodlust had almost overwhelmed his sanity, and the insatiable hunger caused his unsympathetic nature to seep out.
Getting up, he paced slowly around the shed, testing the state of his body. Scanning his mana pool, he noticed that the chaotic essence fragment was added to it. The essence fragments revolved in his pool in unison while resonating.
“Well, how did it feel losing yourself?” Tetra`s unnerving voice resounded
Lucifer ignoring the presence, ventured out of the shed which turned to dust behind him. Creating a wormhole, he retrieved the dual daggers in the void, equipping them around his ankle. He took a stance and then burst into a run, leaving a small hole at the location. The wind screamed as he wafted through the trees at blinding speed.
His mana perception radius had heightened letting him perceive mana sources at greater distances. Searching for any signs of life, he noticed a few of them a thousand meters from his spot. Halting behind several trees he suppressed his aura, looking at the scene enfolding. Ten beasts circled around a family of commoners and were ready to prowl on them at any moment. The family members were garbed in simplistic clothes, the husband stood in front of the beasts shielding his wife and two young boys with his body.

Lucifer needed to know his current location so he decided that saving them would help him receive the answers he needed; wielding his daggers he quickly dispatched the beasts without making a mess. Putting his façade up, he smiled gently towards the family. The man walked forward shaking his hands and thanking him for saving them.
“Are you a mercenary, sir?” the man politely asked
“Yes, is there a village nearby?”
The man hastily nodded and even led him to the village along with his family. The route was through a shallow forest and they rarely encountered any beasts. The village was quite large and hidden from the outside world by the forest; archers were stationed on the walls to protect it from beast attacks.
The man signaled an archer upon the gate, who beckoned another group of people to open them. Entering the village, he cited exotic beasts being tamed in the ranches. Children scrambling with their friends, the village had a very bustling atmosphere. Sensing for experts he noticed quite many hidden across the crowds, most were at god rank, Lucifer wondered how strong he had become, he hadn`t checked his status.
The man led Lucifer towards a cottage while his family left for their house. A small arena could be viewed a few metres away, and sounds of clashes erupted frequently; people were gathered in numbers on looking the fights. The man explained the cottage belonged to him and that he could stay as long as he liked.
A bed and a small table adorned the room, with a window that allowed light rays to brighten the cottage. Closing the doors after the man left, he seat into a meditative stance. Easing into his body, he entered his mind palace and immediately started processing the capacity of his body.
His mind palace had grown wider and was significantly more defined; stacks of shelves were lined up filled with books he had previously read.
Opening his status panel he peered at his rank which had crossed lvl.250 stepping into the ‘vizier’ rank.

Raw, untamed mana and essence flooded every inch of his body. He had made an abnormal leap from his Transient rank; he felt that soon the Mystical realm would open for him. Circulating essence and mana inside his body, he practiced his amplified control.
In Diabolos, the dragon continent, the Emperion dragon had ordered his elites guards to hunt for the tyrannical presence he had felt a few days ago. The guardians were spread over continents looking for any traces of Lucifer`s mana residue.
Exiting his cottage, Lucifer headed towards the arena to practice his physical skills. He quickly enrolled himself for the upcoming fights. The rules were simple you only had to make your opponents surrender, no weapon usage was allowed or immediate disqualification and killing your opponent was prohibited. The winner would get a bag of cold coins as a reward if the challenger completed all the rounds.
Entering upon the circular arena stage, the crowds’ gazes landed on him. Females cheered at him from all over the arena stands, whistling. The male spectators fumed at this treatment.
Lucifer`s first opponent was a skinny man in his late twenties, as the whistle blew Lucifer instantly rushed to meet his opponent. Unleashing a barrage, he quickly hit the man`s acupuncture point, immobilizing him. With the next jab, he knocked the man of stage. This all occurred in a matter of a few seconds.
Onlookers couldn`t even perceive his action.
Then next fights were against various opponents who trained in close combat techniques. Lucifer relying on his hyper enhanced reaction time dodged their attacks at abnormal close distances to further test the limitations of his body. The world was in slow motion and he could further control his brain synapses to increase his visual acuity.
Lucifer bent at abnormal degrees to check his muscle elasticity and strength. Satisfied with his monstrous improvement, he ended his brawls with knocking the opponent unconscious. Retrieving the gold coins he rushed to his cottage locking the door because of the crowd that was chasing after him.
Pocketing the coin bag into his wormhole storage, he sneaked of towards the library. The store was small, and had books on few locations. The air was musty and dry and the librarian was nowhere within sight. Taking a book from the nearby shelves, he sat down glancing over any other materials that were available that could strengthen him further. Reading though the piles of books he gathered that he had to travel to the dragon continent if he wanted to find the materials to further progress his strength as it contained high ranked dungeons and would help him procure higher purity attribute cores. The black ooze was unpredictable and during his strengthening process he would lose his sanity momentarily lapsing into a murderous beast.
Exiting the building he went into to shops to stock up on food, and clothes. Travelling to the dragon continent would take at least 70 days and that is by ship, gathering the required goods; he stored them in the wormhole.
Leaving the village he paced into a run, further encapsulating himself with wind essence he burst in sonic speed. His plan was to rush to nearest port which was a few thousand miles away. From a distance he felt a scorching heat heading towards him, the closer he got to the source, the hotter it felt.
Finally getting a view of the creature it was a Wyvren, razor sharp black spikes exuded from its back. It was 3 times bigger than Lucifer.
“The Emperion Dragon wants you” the Wyvren roared, it voice creating a shockwave
Lucifer sensing the killing intent released by the Wyvren quickly got into a combat stance, he had no plans to go along with this thing. The Wyvren looking at his reluctance transformed into a humanoid form, which was covered in an overall black coat. It appearance radiated raw strength.
Both their eyes stared at each other trying to grasp each other’s movements.
