*Falling*

Hastily reinforcing his feet with mana, he somersaulted in mid-air, landing feet first on the ground, which cracked underneath his weight.

He looked around; fragments of purple crystals prod out of the old rugged walls, covered with cow-webs, upon which spiders nested. The room was illuminated with a dim glow. Small blue beetle like creatures crawled across the walls.

Stale air filled the room. Scouring more of the empty room, he came upon mysterious carvings on the walls, which had been slightly covered, by the mold growing upon them, which Immediately grabbed his attention, he moved towards them, lighting his hand on fire he traced it over the mold, burning it off. Inspecting the glyphs up-close, he pondered over them, trying to decipher what they meant.

After an hour, he had finally decrypted the glyphs;

The dungeon was divided into five floors, each floor was protected by a guardian that would unlock the mechanism to the next floor only after it was killed, a map was also depicted in the glyphs, imagining a floor layout he pinpointed his current position, he was located on the second floor. At the end it phrased, that a special reward awaits those who finished this trial.

He looked around for an exit, spotting a rusty old wooden door, with a broken handle. He moved towards, kicking it down with brute strength. A

passage was revealed, it was lit with wooden torches embedded in brown brick walls.

As he travelled along the passage, *Swoosh*, spears abruptly shot out of the walls, using swift nimble movements he dodged the incoming spears.

Taking a spear from the ground he stuffed it into his pack. Exiting the passage, his eyes met the glare of bright lights. Cupping his eyes, he waited a few moments for them adjust. This chamber was bigger than one before, looking around he noticed a half humanoid and a half were-beast like creature in front of him.

The creature had a face of a wolf, with a lower body of a human, covered with brown fur; its yellow eyes examined him closely.

A lycan, he muttered with a grin.

The lycan suddenly vanished from sight, to emerge right behind him; it was so fast that he could not, perceive its presence for a second. It all happened in a flash, before he could even turn around, the lycan latched onto his right hand and tore it out from his arm socket. Then the lycan quickly materialized back onto its original spot, it bit into his torn out arm, taunting him as well as expecting him to crumble to the ground, screaming.

To the lycan`s surprise, no screams resounded in the chamber, only a pair of cold, cruel eyes, staring back at it. It backed up a bit in hesitation. It saw madness, unlike any before in those dark purple pupils.

His right arm quickly regenerated, the lycan flinched. Cloaking himself with mana, he materialized his blaze sword, dashing at his target. The lycan disappeared from sight again, however predicting its movement, he quickly turned back, swinging the sword horizontally, he slashed the sword into the lycans waist, severing its torso into two.

The lycans body tumbled to the ground, he dug into its chest cavity, enjoying the sensation of the still beating heart, ripping it out, it continued thumping on the palm of his hand, shoving it into his mouth he chewed it slowly enjoying the new texture.

All of a sudden the sound of a horn blowing could be heard resounding all throughout the floor. The chamber started rumbling, from the sound wave, small pieces of debris falling from the walls.

Black portals materialized all around him, a lycan came crawling out of each portal, and they quickly rounded out around him. After all the lycans had come out, the portals merged, creating a larger portal on the cobblestone floor. A huge furry arm jutted out of the portal. Soon, followed by a pair of crimson red eyes, taking the rest of its body out of the portal, It came into view, their `Alpha` it was far taller than any other lycan he had ever seen. It had a darker fur shade compared to the rest of the lycans. It had bright red pupils; its teeth gleamed from dry blood and scars were etched all over its body.

He guessed that the Alpha was the guardian.

They air became frigid as he leaked his murderous intent into the air, instantly the lycans circling aroun him, froze in their places, overwhelming pressure mounted upon them, being in his presence caused their consciousness to warp, making themm unable to withstand his overwhelming presence. He sluggishly took a step towards the Alpha, staring into its crimson eyes. The Alpha shuddered at the monstrosity that stood before, it sensed fear for the first time in its life…….. It doubted whether the human standing in front of it, was even human at all. Its every instinct told it to flee, to no avail, its body didn`t respond, it was paralyzed from the neck down in fear.

He hummed a tune, while materializing thousands of blaze swords above them.

He relished in toying with his prey.

A wide grin spread on his face, with a swipe of his hand, he made the swords rain down. A sword impaled through the Alpha`s skull, setting ablaze its body, swords continued to rain down upon the Alphas minions, slicing them into chunks of flesh, they howled in pain as the scorching flames ate at their flesh. It was a mindless but an amusing massacre to him; fresh blood and charred corpses enveloped the floor. He continued humming his tune while savoring the bloody view.

*tick* *tick*

Again the sound of moving gears could be heard by him. The whole room was filled with the smell of burnt meat, hopping over the corpses, he continued on to the next room, hoping to find the entrance to descend to the next floor.

He explored the floor for more than two and a half hours, before finding a dome shaped chamber, the walls were built with black colored bricks, the floor was decorated with polished marble tiles and in the middle of the room was a spiraling wooden staircase which descended downwards. The room was illuminated by blue torches placed giving it an eerie feeling. He descended down the steps at a determined pace, the stairs kept on going like what seemed like forever, finally he had reached the bottom, a thick mist covered the floor, which completely obscured his sight.
