Looking at the mess he left in his wake, Shesmu couldn’t help but smile bitterly. He knew that it took half an hour for monsters to respawn, so he understood that there was no meaning in staying in this place. Shesmu dove deeper into the forest in hope of encountering more foxes.
On his way, Shesmu slashed and thrust any fox that was in his trajectory. Each of his attacks dealt more than 500 damage, easily one-shotting the 400 HP foxes. Shesmu killed 7 foxes a minute, and in less than 10, he already reached his 100 fox quota. What made Shesmu waste time wasn’t the fight in and of itself, but the distance that he needed to cover to find another pack of foxes.
Once his Kill count reached 100, a loud growl was heard in the distance. From between the tall trees, a silhouette was running towards Shesmu at an alarming rate. The shadow was 2 to 3 times bigger than normal foxes, and anyone who saw this situation from afar would think that Shesmu was a dead man walking. From between the leaves of the trees and the shrubs, an oversized fox jumped out. A white fur reminiscent of snow decorated with red fiery strings on its sides and its legs. The firefox elite growled in front of Shesmu showing its dominance and strength.
Without the Identify skill, Shesmu couldn’t check the stats of the monster in front of him, however, he already knew from past experience that the firefox elite had 2000 HP and could deal 200 damage per attack to someone with no resistance.
Waiting for the monster to make the first move, Shesmu started jumping on his feet and moving around using a basic footwork. Looking at the human in front of it jumping around, the beast got annoyed and headed straight towards him, wanting to slash his belly open with its claws. The firefox elite didn’t think that the human in front of it was anything special, the AI controlling it made it think that the most important factor in judging someone’s strength was his level, and seeing that Shesmu’s level was lesser than its own, it naturally thought that he was an easy prey.

However, Shesmu was destined to make it regret its decision. The moment the beast’s claws reached Shesmu, he immediately accelerated multiple times his usual speed leaving an afterimage in his place. Before the firefox could react, Shesmu already slashed its back and followed it by a thrust to its abdomen. Next, Shesmu ducked below it to change position and slashed and thrust the same way as before, instantly killing the elite monster.
Shesmu received 1200 experience, showing how even with the +50% experience, Ashes of Gods was still a game hard to level in. The elite dropped 2 silver and 2 items. Looking at his loot, Shesmu noticed that one of the items was shining with a silver glow while the other one was normal.

Seeing that he still wasn’t able to use this equipment, Shesmu threw them in his inventory and went to his next farming area.
After killing the firefox, Shesmu went to the level 6 area, where he hunted deer instead of foxes. There was no difference in the method of killing as deer’s HP was also relatively low, only 450 HP. Since all of his attacks dealt 500 to 550 damage without counting critical strikes, Shesmu easily killed the quota of 100 deer. He then fought the elite version of deer which was just an oversized one with higher HP and stronger attacks. As with the firefox, Shesmu just dodged the attack of the elite deer and killed it with 5 slashes. This same scenario repeated itself in the level 8 farming area with the boars.
As Shesmu reached the level 9 area, he finally looked at all the loot he got from his farming. Other than the japtem he received from normal monsters, Shesmu got 2 bronze colored items and 1 silver.

Shesmu already reached level 8 so he could equip all of his items, however, due to the limited number of bronze and silver items, he needed to use gray items as a replacement. The latter only added defense stat by 1 or 2, however, these stats add-on.
Looking at his stats page, Shesmu decided to use his stat points since he leveled up 4 times since the last time he used them. He first added the 3 stat points needed to unlock the next vitality talent and dumped everything he had left on agility.
