《The Demon Lord is Bored》Chapter Twenty-Seven: Ending It All

Castles floating in the sky on top of massive clouds. Beings flew in the air with pure white wings, a few even had glittering golden ones.
On the ground, cities made out of gold and other precious materials stood proudly.
This place was known as the Pure Continent. The home of the angels.
Two dragons entered this continent.
It was Erebus’ turn once more, and he didn’t have a taste for dramatics like Azure did.
He would get this overwith quickly, just like he did with the Elven capital. Erebus didn’t really care if the angelic race, or any race for that reason (save for the dragons) were to die out completely.
“Shift into your smaller form and stay on my head,” Erebus told Azure. If she didn’t, she would be hurt by his magic, too.
“All right~” Azure shifted and landed on top of Erebus’ crested head. His scales were rough and dug into her skin. “This isn’t comfortable in the slightest,” she complained.
“Do you wanna die?”
“No.” Azure pouted.
“Then don’t whine.”
Ten or so figures were flying towards Erebus and Azure.
Erebus sighed. “Look what you’ve caused by delaying me.”
“Dragons! State your business here,” the leader of the pack of angels said. He was a handsome man. The rest of the angels were like him, their faces resembled the carvings of greek statues. Aquiline noses, full lips...
An annoyingly good-looking bunch.
Erebus raised up his arm and pointed a talon at the guards. “Please die,” he said.
A small blackish purple sphere appeared on the tip of his talon before releasing a beam that sheared the angels in half. Their bodies fell from the sky, falling towards the ground until they landed with a sickening splat.
Azure, who was now laying on her stomach, watched this scene and shook her head. “So messy.”
“Quiet.”
More beams shot out from the sphere that rested on the tip of his talon. The beams cut through buildings and bodies alike.
Erebus raised his free arm, a black disc appeared in the palm of his hand. He released the spinning disc and it tore through the floating castles.
I see... being in my true form does really change the feel of everything. I’m able to cast my stronger magic without the help of the [Eye of Void], Erebus thought.

The [Eye of the Void] was in reference to his green eye. He was born blind in one eye, and that was his green one. But when mana came into existence, the eye was filled with the substance.
He is able to ‘see’ mana because of this. He could see it in its concentrated form. It’s distracting normally, so he’d typically have his eye closed.
Since Erebus’ magic needed the most mana out of all the original dragons, he was unable to cast it without the help of his [Eye of Void] when in his weaker form.
Erebus wasn’t able to use his magic for an extended amount of time, even he, a dragon with endless mana, would feel tired after using it.
It was his fatal flaw.
Which is why Erebus did not want to use his magic for a long time. He had to dispatch of his enemies quickly or else he would be weakened significantly.
Erebus continued to destroy the Pure Continent and any angel that dared get near him.
Thirty minutes passed since they had arrived. A little over half of the continent was destroyed.
“You can stop now,” Azure said. “Before you kill everyone. And don’t exhaust yourself now, we still have another place to visit.”
The Pure Continent had been remodeled by Erebus. Cities had collapsed, some pillars landed on top of angels. The castles floating in the sky had been put into ruins...
His power was frightening.
“All right,” Erebus agreed. He had gone a little(?) overboard with his display of power. “There should be a few left alive, though.”
“Our aim isn’t to kill off the entire race,” Azure sighed. “Idiot.”
Erebus shook his head, causing her to fly off.
Her figure went plummeting downwards.
“You asshole!” a long, curvy dragon began to fly towards Erebus at a dangerous speed. Azure showed no intent of slowing down. “What if I didn’t transform in time, huh?”
“Ah,” Erebus gasped. He just realized this now.
Azure collided with Erebus, the force created a sonic boom. Azure wasted no time to start hitting him on the head with her tail.
“Ow,” Erebus whined. She didn’t have to hit him that hard...
She continued to smack him with her tail. “I almost died. I really almost died!” Her golden eyes were full of anger. Azure barely had enough time to transform before she would have hit the ground.

“I didn’t think you’d fall off,” he lied.
Azure chopped the top of his head. “You did, you liar. What was that for? I’m still young, y’know? I still have a lot to live for.”
“Well, you called me an idiot,” he muttered.
“You are an idiot! A huge one. Who throws people off their head while they’re miles in the air?”
Erebus raised a guilty hand.
“Asshole,” Azure said, getting another hit in there. “I’m telling Rolut that you did that to me. He’ll get mad at you~”
“W-wait! Anything but that. Rolut’s scary when he’s mad. Ah... I’m sorry, I’m sorry.”
Azure nodded happily. “I’ll get you back. Don’t worry.”
“Eh... nothing too extreme please.”
“You almost killed me.”
“It was an accident.”
“No, it wasn’t. I’ll really get you back good...”
This would ultimately lead to Azure heading Erebus’ prized jewel. She had seen it in his cave before. Fufu... he’d suffer like she did.
Erebus, Azure, Massath said through the dragon’s telepathic link.
Yes the two answered him.
I handled the dwarves and beastmen. They were a little difficult but I'm done. Did you finish up at the Pure Continent?
Yep, Erebus dealt with them. I think it’ll take a while until they’re able to stand up straight again.
I see, well, I’ll meet you guys back at the Dragon Continent. Good luck with dealing with the seafolk, they’re a rowdy bunch.
Oh, don't worry about that, Erebus laughed.
Well, then, I won't
The link ended.
“Whew,” Azure said, she had calmed down now. “How are we going to do this? You can’t breathe underwater.”
“I will give you something to destroy them with, you can bring it to their Capital and release it there. It should be enough.”
Azure nodded. “Understood, let’s get going, then.”
They began to fly once more.
“Where exactly is their Capital?” Azure asked after a while.
“I don’t know,” Erebus answered with a laugh. “Guess you’ll find out soon enough, right, Azure?”
“I have to go in blind...” she muttered to herself.
Erebus laughed boisterously. “Good luck!”
“Shut up, idiot.”
The two stopped moving and now hovered over the wide expanse of the ocean.
“Take this,” Erebus said, creating a rather large sphere on the palm of his hand. “When you find the Capital, release and and get as far away as possible. Tell me that you’re a safe distance away and I will activate the magic.”
Azure stared at the sphere with a look of suspicion. “It won’t hurt me, will it?” She had seen what his magic could do...
“It hasn’t been activated yet. It’s harmless.” He tossed the ball at her and she caught it in her hands.
“Ugh... everything about this sphere just gives me a bad feeling.”
It was nearly weightless. There was a swirling reddish mist around the sphere that gave her an ominous feeling.
“Just go,” Erebus commanded her.
Azure pressed the cool ball against her scaly chest and then dove underwater.
She folded her wings tightly against her body as she swam, her snake-like body moved through the ocean smoothly.
Azure saw a few mermaids heading towards some place. She stayed back a distance where they couldn’t see her but she could see them.
The dragon was hoping that they’d lead her to the Capital... it’d be perfect if they did.
A city rose up in the distance, its design was similar to the Pure Continent. All the buildings resembled castles. Seafolk swam in and out of the city.
This is it, right? Azure wondered and began to slacken her grip on the ball. She surrounded the ball with her own magic and sent it flying until it floated over the city of the seafolk.
She figured it was similar to what Erebus used on the elves. Azure began to swim towards the surface rapidly, and the moment she burst out of the sea she contacted Erebus.
I’m safe.
Good.
She didn’t stop flying away, though. She didn’t know how much power he had loaded that thing with.
It was a good thing, too.
A large, black dome burst out of the ocean. It emitted a reddish glow. If Azure had stayed where she was earlier, she would have died.
The ones that had been within its area weren’t so lucky.
The war was over.
I'm sad to say that this is the conclusion of our flashback arc

Crimson Pervert
Markus gets - quite literally - thrown into an RPG Fantasy world. Casually gaining game-breakingly great power is the very first thing of course, but afterwards travelling the world, building a harem and having plain fun is on the agenda. Note: No room to hide the fact that this is heavily inspired by the "Death March" web novel. I will give it my own touch by not having a Japanese-ish main character (Japan is cool and everything, but why have a harem if you never ever do something "H" with them?). Everything (characters, story, etc) is basically my creation, but I consider it a re-think of the original, so I can neither call it an "Original" nor a "Fan Fic". Don't expect it to be overly innovative. I will add an 18+ warning as soon as something like that happens, the first chapter just has a bit of undramatic blood. Comments welcome.
