Hello my dear readers. Sorry im releasing this very late and making this an incomplete chapter. I've been sick since Wednesday and my fever's just hit its peak at 39.2 degrees Celsius last night, so i barely managed to complete this half a chapter. There are probably heaps of mistakes in this chapter but i promise i'll return later when im feeling better to update it.
Rashael slung the Titan laser over his shoulders, letting hang from the leather belt that was clipped onto it. Taking one last look back at the mansion, he stepped through the portal, following Kiefer and the rest into the cramped roofless shack on the surface. There, Kiefer and the female Titans were waiting for him, staring at the portal.
It was an odd sight to see in Latiase, a masked figure in an extravagant yet complicated armour leading the way in front of 3 demi-human birds and a single beautiful human female. The residents were all charmed by the female’s beauty that no one made a move to even consider arresting the human.
On the back of the leading man was a single long sword, shaped unlike anything this world has ever seen. It was pure mithril, and just a single piece of long metal without any guard for the hilt. The most catching feature though, was the deep blue jewel embedded into the chest piece. It glimmered and swirled constantly, sometimes changing colour to a light turquoise in some placed and others turning deep purple, almost like the crystal housed a living fluid.
Walking just a little behind the masked man, was a demi-human bird with white feathers on his forearms. He seemed to be carrying a weapon on his back, but there didn’t seem to be any way to hold this weapon to swing it efficiently, with weird protrusions coming out the sides and no regular shape to the design. It looks like a warped piece of metal and wood and yet, somehow, the guards were terrified of it, even knowing it was not an efficient melee weapon.
As the group approached the city guards, the guards observed a weird scene. Even though it was still early in the morning, the black haired demi human just fell to the ground after slurring a few steps. There, the white haired female acted as if nothing was out of place and simply picked her up on her back.
This was Kiefer’s first time back on the surface ever since he got caught while trying to calibrate the clock. He had been informed by the girls who were touring the city that there had been wanted posters of a human put up on the streets and even though Kiefer knew it was him, he couldn’t help but laugh at the poor drawing done of his mug shot.
As they approached the raised bar gate, wolfman guards were inspecting each person passing through the gates, comparing them against a picture of Kiefer’s mugshot. While they could have simply flown over the gates, Kiefer chose this meddlesome method because he had wanted to try something. As the group approached the gates, they vanished from sight. Such a large group disappearing raised an alarm and the guards dropped the gates immediately, the spiked bottom of the barred gates dug into the soft earthen ground.

While the wolfman and lamia guards were still busy scouring the place for the group, Kiefer and the others were already flying through the skies heading east. Kiefer had wanted to see how fast he could set up the optical illusion around the entire group and if he could even do it at all. Glad that it was a success, Kiefer kept sprinting through the air, this time with Isana by his side and Sher snoozing away behind the crystal in his chest piece.
As the group passed over Shearwood’s lake, they did not notice that Rashael had started falling behind, being the slowest of the group, he was now trailing behind the rest while Kiefer was far ahead of them. Then, as he saw Kiefer’s right arm arch towards the back to grab his mithril sword, Rashael smiled.
*zzzzzziiiiiiiiii!*
The sound of a laser beam cutting through the air rang out through the skies as suddenly, as a red beam shot forth from the back of the group and instantly melted off Fiora’s right leg. Howling in agony, Fiora instantly transformed into a giant flaming bird as searing flames licked the stumpof her right leg in phoenix form. Within seconds, the leg grew back, but not before Fiora managed to identify the culprit.
Without even demanding a reason, the flaming bird charged towards the lightly armoured man standing a fair distance from the group with a thick weapon mounted on his right shoulder. Then suddenly, as if she lost her ability to fly, Fiora plummeted from the skies, towards the forest canopy. Looking back up, she discovered that Kiefer was standing where she used to be, right next to her 2 red wings that were going up in flames. In his hand, was a gleaming silver sword.
Sher and Isana immediately knew what was going on and without any delay, they chose their sides as the entire space around them was engulfed in darkness. Sher shot straight upwards as she changed into her giant Quetzalcoatl form, attempting to fly out of the darkness caused by Luna. It was still day time so her powers would be severely limited.
Isana on the other hand, sped down towards the ground in her dragon form. With her speed being the greatest in the group, she caught the falling Fiora before she hit the ground. The burning trees were instantly extinguished by her freezing aura as the large flaming bird in the talons of the pure white freezing dragon began to regenerate her wings.
Rashael who had not been affected by the blinding darkness surged forth with the help of his new armour, his titan laser now slung over his back. Within 2 bursts, he was already in front of his younger sister, swinging his arms and throwing a jab towards her thorax. As the jab was heading towards the Luna, there was a sudden burst from the back of the elbow, hitting Luna at even greater speeds in her arms as she managed to raise them in defence in the last moment.
As Luna was thrown towards the mountain from the force of Rashael’s jab, the sphere of darkness around her followed, finally allowing Kiefer to see the light of day again. However, his vision was blinded almost instantly again as he was sandwiched between a combined flame attack and ice shards that converged on his location from below. As the flames and ice met, the shards exploded into a burst of steam, limiting Kiefer’s vision while baking him from Below. However, with a blink of an eye, Kiefer was now below the steam cloud and in between a fire and Ice titan.

Rashael chased after Luna, his titan laser back on his shoulder. Kiefer caught a glance of him and realised that Rashael had made some modifications without his knowledge. As the black sphere approached the humanoid titan with the unknown weapon, Rashael fitted something onto the end of the barrel and fired the laser once again.
Kiefer kept blinking around in the air, closely observing Rashael. He watched as Rashael aimed the laser at the incoming darkness and fire the weapon. However, instead of a focused beam that Kiefer had designed, with Rashael’s attachment, the laser shot forth in a cone shape, targeting somewhat the middle area of Luna’s darkness.
The black sphere dissolved, as Luna’s skin started burning, plummeting to the bottom of the forest and landing with a big BOOM. Kiefer decided to help Rashael first, and then he could continue to handle both Fiora and Isana. With both him and Rashael approaching Luna’s crash site, Rashael healed Luna up like the injury was never there while Kiefer bound her up with his mana ropes, imprisoning her.
As the 2 of them turned around, they saw an oncoming barrage of ice shards shooting straight for them, only to have them melted by a large red beam that tore through the skies from above. Isana glared at the culprit, the winged serpent in the sky that was currently engaged in battle with a phoenix.
Looking at each other, the 2 guys nodded and dashed into the sky to help their ally. Once they have taken down the phoenix, the three of them could then focus on the biggest threat – Isana. Watching the 2 of them go after Fiora, Isana smiled as she began pouring out a freezing mist of ice crystals around her.
Ignoring what Isana was doing, Kiefer blinked behind Fiora once again, managing to slice one of her wings off before being slapped by the flaming bird’s other wing. He could feel his skin boiling from the intensity of the flame, only to have it cooled and returned to normal by Rashael. Sher had begun using her purple hexagram skill that had Fiora imprisoned, as Kiefer went ahead and blinked in front of the trapped and surprised Fiora, lopping her head off in one swift swing of the mithril long sword.
Fiora’s flaming body started burning even more intensely, with flames rolling from the outside inwards, the ball of fire getting smaller. The 3 of them watched the ball of fire intently, oblivious to the icy mist that had now covered most of the area besides where Fiora was. The finally, from the ball of fire, emerged a large orange crystal, floating in mid-air where Fiora used to be.
Relieved that one more titan was down, Kiefer and the rest stared around them, only to be surprised by the icy field that Isana had created. Then, right in front of their eyes, the mist started gathering in different spots around them, finally forming 8 white dragons.
“Rashael! Which is the real one!? I can’t tell with my pulse!” Kiefer yelled out, trying to distract the 8 dragons that started circling and targeting them with ice shards.
“I can’t either! They are all her real body! That’s her skill! We need to destroy all of them down to the last one!” Rashael yelled back, unhappy that his mana detection had failed him too.
With the 8 speeding dragons fighting them, Kiefer could not focus on taking down one only, since the others would soon come replace it once he wore it down. Releasing his supergravity field did not help either, slowing the dragons down by only a fraction. At one point, there were multiple ice meteors being conjured while the other dragons were doing their job of herding the Kiefer and the 2 titans together. Sher released her prison around Fiora’s crystal and changed the hexagram’s structure. Firing her beam into the hexagram, her 6 individual beams bent and chased Isana while they kept conjuring tornados as they flew by.
The 6 beams meet their mark, burning off limbs or wings on 6 separate Isana. Kiefer only watched in awe as the 6 injured Isanas took in the ice crystals around them and replaced the lost body parts, becoming fully functional again within moments.
Still preoccupied with fending off attacks coming from all sides, the trio was suddenly thrown to the ground by a devastating heat blast that came from Fiora’s crystal. With a loud shriek, Fiora rose once more from her demise and glared at the 3 of them that was sprawled on the ground. Isana conjured up a tornada, trapping the 3 of them in the eye of the storm as Fiora began spewing flames and turning the tornado into a spinning fire pit.
From the flaming spinning pillar, red beams could be seen shooting out and barely missing the dragons and the phoenix. After a while, the beams stopped coming out and only then, did the tornado dispel, revealing an unconscious Rashael and Sher, along with Kiefer who was down on one knee, struggling to breathe from the lack of oxygen.
Fiora was enraged, diving straight for the human male trying to finish him off, only to be stopped by her ally as the 7 other dragons shattered into billions of ice crystals that gently floated down.
Smiling smugly, Isana slowly made her way to Kiefer, chest held out proudly.. Finally, standing in front of him, she spoke out. “With this, I won, so you have to listen to what I say for 1 whole day.” She said while beaming clearly elated at her victory. Kiefer simply smiled while nodding his head, as he proceeded to carry the unconscious Luna back to where Sher and Rashael were snoozing.
Also, i managed to complete the initial sketch of the front of Kiefer's new armour, i'll be adding the other parts as i get better. so for now, enjoy and please do tell me what you think.
