Military Strength
Avian Alliance
The Avian Alliance is made of the 3 provinces within the control of 3 Avian Titans – Luna, Rashael and Fiora. Their main populace is made up of anthropomorphs, or more commonly known as Demi-humans. Though for some most of their races their reproduction rate is not as high as humans, they possess extrahuman capabilities which more than makes up for their lack of numbers.
Technologically inferior to the humans, though not by much, the demi-humans have the advantage when it comes to relying on nature or their surroundings due to their keener senses and perception. Luna Province is known for being aggressive while Fiora is known for its defense due to its geographical advantage. Rashael is the most vulnerable with the lack of combative races but it well protected by its sister provinces.
Luna – located to the west of drigor, the multitudes of small islands off its coast give rise to numebrous water based and airborne species, while the dense tropical forests found throughout Luna are home to orcs, wolfmen and giants.
Race: Wolfmen
Description: The Wolfmen live with pack mentality, with a pack leader often developing naturally when training in groups. Removing said leader will automatically result in another one taking his position as training progresses. As such, while wolfmen undergo training together, the leaders are often picked off by their superiors and given their own units to command, constantly producing new Wolfmen commanders.
Race: Lizardmen
Description: Lizardmen may walk on 2 legs and carry weapons like a human, but they are more at home in the water than on land. They have excellent sense of sight and taste to make up of decreased hearing and smell when not in water. Using their tongues to pick up chemicals in the air like snakes, these lizardmen have the widest of peripheral vision coupled with thermal sensing, which makes them formidable against hidden enemies. They are often deployed in groups of 2 or 3, led by a dragonewt for defense as scouting parties.

Race: Dragonewts
Description: The Dragonewts are the closest of the lesser beings in Aioa to being real dragons. Originally part of the Lizardmen tribe, dragonewts eventually broke away as an evolutionary cousin after developing wings. Their eyes shifted forwards, reducing peripheral vision range, but giving depth perception, making them good at using ranged weaponry. Capable of short term flight, the dragonewts can use their wings as additional limbs during combat, just as lizardmen use their tails. Boasting high offense and defense, these dragonewts lead scouting paries in Luna.
Race: Giants
Description: Giants tower over all other beings at no less than 10m tall. They are slow, unintelligent and brutal. Wielding giant clubs made from steel, or even just a random tree they plucked off from the ground, the giants are only vulnerable to magical attacks. This makes them an excellent force to use against the magic-less undead, earning the Avian Alliance their first ever victory against the undead legion. However, because the giants are rare and slow to reproduce, they are guarded heavily by support mages to prevent them from being taken down during combat.
Race: Orcs
Description: The main force of the Luna army, Orcs are strong, fast, brutal, dumb and listen well to orders. Not the brightest of the races, the orcs are the cannon fodder in the luna army, never questioning the orders from their wolf commanders and simply rushing to their deaths. Their numbers are almost as numerous as the humans, and would have won Luna the war if they were only a little smarter and could make decisions during battle themselves. Once they completed an order given to them, they would just idle around, even in the heat of battle until another order is issued. Orcs make up the majority of the infantry and manual labor in the war.
Fiora – Located to the south of Drigor, it is a natural fortress owing its defense to the harsh mountain terrain in the middle of the border, with the river flowing from the mountains to the eastern shore. The river has cut a deep chasm into the ground and leads out into an ocean naturally guarded by a cliff face. Swampy lands to the west of the mountains make it difficult and slow to transverse through, with a poisonous bog that causes most sentient beings to avoid the swamps.

Race: Foxmen
Description: The foxmen grow an extra tail every 10 years and are considered an adult when they have 3 tails (20yo). They are agile smart and cunning, often using tactics to outsmart the enemy. Though not the strongest physically, they have excellent coordination skills and are the heart of the strategy and tactics department. Foxmen are innately attuned with mana and most are able to cast simple spells, though not enough for battle. Some extraordinary foxmen are talented to be mages and wield magic weapons.
Race: Lamia
Description: With human upper halves and snake bodies for their lower halves, Lamias are naturally resistant to fire, but vulnerable to the cold. Their strength outstrips the wolfmen tribe and most are ambidextrous, allowing them to dual-wield light weapons, or simply haul an extra heavy one. Able to slither forwards and backwards without having to look, they are great when deployed in defencing measures, allowing them to retreat backwards while still facing the enemies and warding off attacks.
Race: Catmen
Description: Short for demihumans, the catman tribe specialize in stealth and espionage operations. Similar to ninjas on earth, they are equipped with a plethora of lightweight projectile weapons and are capable of blending in with the darkness. Excellent night vision and agile speeds, they can remain undetected venturing deep into enemy territory at night to disturb and cut off supply convoys.
Race: Gnolls
Description: Shorter smarter cousins of the Orcs, the gnolls are a quick study for anything aside from magic. They are close to nature and are often revered for their talents as animal tamers. This gives the gnolls a small army of themselves with the wildlife they have tamed. Records show the most common animal tamed is cindertail which is ubiquitous in Fiora, but rumors have it that some gnolls have even succeeded in taming wyverns or other lesser dragons.
Rashael – Famous for its priests, Rashael province has almost no combat abilities to defend itself from Diante’s attacks. In exchange for supplying priests as support holy magic and healers to her sister provinces, Luna and Fiora would send troops over to protect her. As such, most of the races seen in the other 2 provinces are usually found in Rashael.
Race: Wood elf
Description: Different from the high elves hidden in Wanda province, the wood elfs are only talented in nature and holy magic. Excellent healers as well as potion concocters, Rashael has been able to hold out against Diante’s fierce attacks for the past few centuries only because the undead legion are highly susceptible to holy magic and they have minimal casualties in the loaned armies thanks to the abundance of healers and potions.
Drigor – The largest province on the main continent with the greatest army in terms of numbers, this province is mainly occupied by humans, with severe discrimination against demi-humans. Within the last 2 centuries, a new form of magic has been discovered under the darkness element, leading to the deployment of necromancer mages in their army. With a total of 5 layers of forward bases established in all 3 directions, the army has been spread out very thin, resulting in only defensive measures to prevent the loss of territory. The army only attacks with undead soldiers at night, with almost no human lives lost. Interestingly enough, Diantes army only invades and provokes the Avian Alliance when the conflict dies down, as if it thrived on conflict itself. Aside from that, they never invade the territory of the other 3 provinces, only ever carrying out battles on its own territory.

How to Raise Your Dungeon
A dungeon core awakens for the first time. It knows nothing, it has nothing, but it can hear something. Voices, whispering, talking, and sharing. For now, they are distant. But it believes, if it proves itself, they may provide it with wisdom and direction. And so its slow but steady growth begins. Polls will come when the dungeon specifically wants to choose between a number of options, and believes it will receive an answer. However, it will "hear" any comments made on the most recent chapter, and these will shape its behaviour. It trusts you implicitely. This story is an exercise in stretching my creative muscles, so with each decision made, the options and opportunities open to the dungeon will change- some closing off forever. The dungeon will face threats periodically, and its fate in these encounters will be heavily influenced by your advice, though it will of course do its absolute best even without advice. It hardly wants to die. Heavily inspired by There Is No Epic Loot Here, Only Puns, though my approach to the concept is somewhat different from that work.

Innocence: Exiled Prince
Victor Lawson; a son of a King. Quite a scandalous King, but over the years, he had proved his own worth to the people that he ruled not with force but with words. Yet, this story isn’t about The King. It’s about his son; a Prince in a frozen land, a noble-born with a pedigree as clear as the driven snow. The boy had everything; wealth, title, inheritance to the whole kingdom. Everything that could make his life of lavish luxury and comfort. Or at least it was promised to him, a promise he believed because he is the only heir to his father’s crown. Such abundance came with its own problems and restrictions. To him at least, it made daily life drowned out by the mundane and the inane obedience of others. Yet a few people make to his life, temporarily filling that void. Hope was something he had; If only he could break this mundane loop he called life. A harmless wish of youth, he believed at first. Or so he wanted to believe until he met a...

To The Far Shore
Post apocalyptic Oregon Trail. The apocalypse has come and gone. And come back again, and left again... nobody really knows how often. Nothing lasts forever, but nothing is ever completely gone. Which is a shame for young Mazelton, as his family has been around a terribly long time, and made an astonishing amount of enemies. Millenia's worth. So he has to run- from mobs, cannibals, soldiers, sailors, cholera, cattle, thieving sales-monks, starvation, mechanical horrors, vengeful spirits, negotiating your own marriage, and poison of every sort. Fortunately, his not terribly nice family has trained him well in the arts of core polishing. Or as you and I might know it- turning radioactive pellets into useful tools. And weapons. Updates Monday-Wednesday-Friday. Usual defensive tags applied. The goal isn't exactly family friendly, but you have probably seen worse on network TV. After the watershed. Not full blown HBO, let's say. This is the first novel I am sharing publicly, so feedback is very much appreciated and encouraged. Act 1 of the novel is completed, but do please let me know what works, what doesn't, and what you would like to see more of. Thank you, and Enjoy!

Memories of the Bean Times
To those who have survived: I write this now, for I fear my death is imminent. Barnabas Schmidt wasn't serious when he said he knew what was going on in Paris. Thomas Sauer wasn't expecting to put his life on the line studying a mysterious disease. Julia Krause wasn't trying to join a cult. And the Holy Roman Empire wasn't prepared to fight the Beans. In the year 1587, the small farming village of Dijon in the Kingdom of France is attacked by seemingly immortal monsters made out of baked beans. As Schmidt fights against the Beans on the front lines, the Beans steadily approach the Empire's borders. As Sauer searches for the Beans' weaknesses, the Church of the Beanmeister paves the way for the arrival of the God. As Krause helps the Church, she begins to question her loyalty to the Beanmeister. Updates every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Chapters are available earlier on the Bean Times website: https://beantimes.github.io
