《Kenosis of the Light Bearer》Chapter 67 - To war with the Eastern Forest

Because Lucifer Akira had no brain line he had to ask Sora to contact them. Sora pulled up the name directory and searched for them but there were thousands of results. They could sift through those names one by one until they found them but how did he know if they even had an account? And he was the only one who knew what they looked like and it was impossible to show Lucifer a picture of their faces because he didn’t have a brain line to view what Sora was seeing.
This left Lucifer dejected until he remembered Luar… Her full name was Luar Fantaji and she was an Elf.
After this information was typed in there was only one result.
Sora quickly messaged her, “Hey there. I’m Sora messaging on behalf of Lucifer. He wanted to let you know that he is fine and he will be back in 3 weeks. He also asked if you could pass this message on to his sister and Ambrosia.”
After that he ended his voice message and logged out of his brain line screen, his vision returned to normal.
But little did he know just how much of a commotion he had caused by these few simple words. At this moment Luar was surrounded by some of the most powerful figures in the school. Aruna and Ambrosia were also by her side.
Some of the school heads had been personally sent out, along with tracking teams to find Lucifer’s whereabouts. But the results left them morbidly depressed.
They found signs of a battle and DNA similar to Aruna’s that had been washed down river. The amount of blood was quite devastating. It was highly likely that he had been killed and eaten by the Outcast.
In fact, they were convinced he was dead because besides the blood there were no traces of him. They couldn’t even find his scent.

The Principal and Vice Principal were so mad that they were getting ready to mobilize the troops and eradicate the entire Eastern Jungle. The preparations had been made and the soldiers were armed and ready to set fire and wage war.
That’s when Luar received a voice message from an unknown person called Sora Hebi that directly messaged her using his brain line.
“Quick, run a trace!” Maria quickly yelled.
Their elite team of trackers connected to Luar’s brain line and traced the message back to its sender’s location.
...
...
...
A few minutes went by before their brain lines were forcefully disconnected from Luar and a message appeared in their eyes.
“Cannot access transmission location, transmission is protected by a Quantum Reflux field.”
“A what?!”
….
A lot had happened recently and now he was stuck in the same spot for 3 weeks. What could he do while he waited? He had managed to get into contact with his sister and friends but now he was bored.
That’s when he remembered that he could reenter Immortal Hero, the Virtual Reality game that he had acquired. He quickly slipped on the helmet and his body went limp as his soul was sucked into the game once again.
“Your last character was deleted; you will be warped to a new character. Please wait…”
Like usual, he wasn’t given an option to choose his race or make any character customizations. Stars rushed passed him as he flew through space. He found that he was being launched into a new body but it happened so quickly he didn’t get a good look at what body he was thrown into
As he looked around he saw a deep blue color covering the entire world. His side abs felt quite weird and funny. It felt very unnatural like there was some sort of opening in his side. He looked down only to find that he there was an opening there. He had gills filtering the water and absorbing oxygen. They were moving and breathing right there on his side.

Even more shocking was below his gills. He saw a long fish tail at least twice the length of his torso. His eyes surveyed the area as his vision began to sharpen.
He turned around and saw hundreds of other fish men like himself and around the same size as him too. They were swimming around and getting use to their newborn bodies.
Behind them was a giant shadow, as he drew closer he saw that it was a humongous mermaid with a tall crown and a very sharp bident.
Beside her was an even larger merman with an even bigger crown and a trident that seemed to eclipse the sky and block out the sun. His very essence exuded the feeling of power.
He felt like an ant compared to these giant mer people and he wasn’t too far from the truth. He was only 25 cm tall and the King stood at least 120 meters from the ocean floor while the Queen was only slightly shorter at 85 meters.
As he looked up at them with wide eyes the Queen mermaid suddenly spoke, “My children, today is the day of your birth. I have brought you into this world for only one purpose…"
She held her words for a minute, building up the suspense before yelling loudly.
“And that is WAR!”
Her expression turned serious as bubbles floated around her and orbited like a halo surrounding her body. She waved her hand sending a gushing force full of bubbles towards them. They were moved and pushed by the bubbles hundreds of meters forward at an amazing and unbelievable speed.
A lot of the small mermaids and mermen lost control of their body and lost their sense of direction as they tumbled through the air. But after the force pushing them forward stopped they managed to stabilize themselves.
The Queen opened her mouth once again, “My children, the ocean is harsh and dangerous. For your first test you will have to survive and make it out of the valley. If you can do so then you will earn the right to call yourself a royal and be raised in mer palace as true meralty.
Lucifer was lucky enough to maintain his orientation along the entire trip. He saw that they had landed over a mysterious patch of water. They were floating above a giant dark valley that oozed creepiness.
The world was harsh and life was unfair. It was a dog eat dog world where the weak were devoured by the strong. As soon as they landed and floated above the valley he felt the water move upwards as someone or something was rushing towards them.
As soon as he felt the pressure, he started to bolt towards the King and Queen. They were placed in the middle of the valley but he knew that if he flew the other way then there was no way for him to survive.
Because making it out of the valley didn’t necessarily mean safety. The creatures could still attack from the other side. He realized that as soon as he was blown here.
The only safety was behind the Mer Queen and Mer King.
But he lacked the natural instincts that these Mer children had. He couldn’t use his tail naturally; he had to slowly adapt to the weirdly augmented bones in his body. It was incredibly difficult to try and master and he didn’t have much time left.
From below he could see giant tentacles shooting out and aiming to wrap around their little bodies. If he was caught by them then he was as good as dead.

Oh, I also forgot to mention that I have taken inspiration from waaaay tooo many novels that I liked, and while there aren't any specific ones that I based this upon there are a few that I definitely took inspiration from like : the author's POV, chronicles of the heavenly demon [you can probably see where this inspired me ;)], etc.

STAY DOWN |2020|
A/N: I was like 19 when I wrote this book. It's not my best work. 😭 Genesis Carter and Jeremiah "East" Wright thought that they had life all figured out until they met each other. Their romance was slow but sure, bringing a world of chaos along with it. Will they defy the odds and hold each other down? Or will unfortunate circumstances break them apart?
