《Kenosis of the Light Bearer》Chapter 49 - The Grim Reaper

He continued to walk down the hall way, checking for traps and other things but he found nothing.
The hall quickly opened into a wide expanse. Around the sides were giant screens that were currently turned off. There were lights but they were very dim. Lucifer looked around but he couldn’t find a switch anywhere.
“Maybe I need to clap?”
Clap, clap
Nothing happened.
“Voice activation then? Lights on!”
Nothing happened.
He continued to look around but couldn’t find a switch and couldn’t find a way to turn up the light settings. He walked over to a chair and spun it around. The chair was in front of a big screen, it seemed like the main computer.
But he tripped over and fell back when he spun the chair around. He jumped back in freight because unknown to him there was an ancient skeleton in the chair. It was dressed in black robes that seemed to be made of shadows and in its hand was a giant silver scythe. But the handle was missing and only the head of the scythe was left.
‘What happened to the handle?’ He thought to himself, ‘Did someone steal the handle and leave the blade?’
“Waah!” The skeletons mouth suddenly moved, “Who the hell are you?”
Lucif almost passed out in fright, “D…did that skeleton just speak.”
“Who are you calling a mere skeleton? I’m the Grim Reaper, the Grim Reaper god damn you!”
Lucifer looked at the skeleton shrouded in black shadows. He received a great shock at first but the grim reaper? He couldn’t force himself to believe it so he decided to antagonize him. If he was really the grim reaper then he was dead anyway. But if not…
“The Grim Reaper? Who are kidding dude.” Lucif started to laugh manically, although he was a moving skeleton. How many aliens had he seen so far? Barely any…

But they were as numerous as clouds in the sky. More than likely he was one of those numerous aliens. Such things like the Grim Reaper and Santa Claus didn’t exist.
“Don’t believe me? Well, look around for the handle of my scythe and I’ll show you. It must have fallen off during the severing.”
“Why don’t you get it yourself? Oh, I see. It’s because you have no eyeballs and you are blind. Heh, pretty pathetic for the Grim Reaper.”
“You foolish mortal, it’s nothing like that. I can see perfectly fine. But… But I can’t move unless I have my scythe all in one piece.”
“So all you need is your scythe to be put back together and you can roam around freely?”
“Yes, exactly!”
“Well then…” Lucif approached the skeleton and took the scythe from his hands.
“Wa..what are you doing?”
“You are the Grim Reaper? What does the Grim Reaper like to do? It likes to reap things like the heads and lives of others. If I give you your scythe then what’s to stop you from killing me? Hah…Yeah right. Like I would do something like that. It’s not that I believe you or anything but it’s better to be safe than sorry.”
He threw the scythe far away and then picked up the skeleton and threw him off the chair. He landed on the ground with a poof as his bones rattled and separated into pieces.
“D..damn you kid, I’m the God of Death! You think I can’t do anything to you?”
Lucifer sat on the chair, spun around and faced his direction. He stared at him for a few minutes and yet nothing happened. His face turned into a smirk as he turned back to face the computer.

“Argh, damn you kid. You merciless brat, you infidel, you blasphemer! When I regain movement I’m going to sever you limb from limb. I’m going to break your body into pieces. I’m going to grind your bones to make my bread.”
“Grind my bones to make my bread? Now that’s just silly, giants do that. Not Grim Reapers.”
Lucif was even surer of himself now as he turned around and pushed the power button. The screen lit up and powered the entire place up. The screens turned on one by one and a system login appeared.
“Dammit, I almost died stealing this base and you are taking away all my hard work. Do you know how long I’ve waited here for someone to help put me back together? 100,000 years. It’s been 100,000 years!” If he had eyes he would definitely be crying in frustration right now.
“Please enter username and password.”
“A login? HAH! A login… You will never be able to guess the code. I can help you if you get my scythe and…”
Lucif quickly tapped away on the keyboard and suddenly a ding was heard. “Password accepted, logging in now.”
The lights around the room went from dim to bright and everything in the room was illuminated.
“H..how did you guess the password so easily. A…are you a technomancer?”
“No? I’m a human boy. It was simply… Username: Admin, and the Password? Also admin. The default settings for almost all computers and systems.”
“A..A human boy? A human wants to take over my life’s work. How can fate be so cruel….Fate why doth you haveth…”
He continued to carry on and on as he complained and cried endlessly. “I wish there was a way to shut you up. Oh that’s right…”
He walked over to the skeleton and pulled off his head, then he grabbed the wet cotton and stuffed it into his mouth.
“gr…hrr…kik..kik..” It started to grumble but none of the sounds were audible.
“Ah, that’s better.”
The computer started to load as a map of the galaxy appeared on screen. There were also a few buttons that he could press. He clicked on the button that said ‘Food Hall’
The walls started rotating and a kitchen appeared in the side.
“Heh, cool.”
He walked over and opened the fridge. ‘C..Coke?’
He almost jumped up and down, his favorite drink was in the fridge. It was thought to be extinct as the creators had long since died during the great catastrophe of 99’. He popped the lid and took a sip.
“Bleh…” The taste was putrid like it had been sitting in that same fridge for hundreds and hundreds of years. It wasn’t even liquid, it was like mud as it flowed down his throat. He turned the can over and looked at the expiry date before throwing it at the wall.
“Expires, August 25th 2090.”

The blue Astrum of memories
Some of you believe in fate and some of you don't. That's ok in our world. In the world that I created Fate has been acting strange and selfish for a long time. She was always fascinated with humans and the fact that they had soulmates because a lot of other races didn't. Ever since humans started traveling through space, that opened millions of new opportunities for Fate to make the human soulmates meet. However, because of her strange behaviour Fate made too many mistakes. After that, Fate made what she thought, was a good move. What she didn't count on was that the good move she made knew that you can cheat fate. One and his crew don't know how ironic it is that she chose them to make her good move. ------------------------------- I didn't use any movies, books or series for inspiration the story is my original work. This is just the result of my weird imagination and brain telling me what to write. I hope you liked it :) It’s just a story, like all of my other stores. It doesn’t have a deeper spiritual, moral or ethical meaning.

What would happen to a guy that died out of rage while in a Guild War? What would the choice of some bored dimensional being who catches his soul in the middle of his way to the afterlife? What would happen when the guy's addiction mixes with the Wizarding World of Harry Potter!? What chaos would that bring to the world!?------------------------------------Well, this was an idea I had like a week ago, and wanted to try it out on my journey to learn how to write. So, here it is. It's another fanfic, yes. Because it's easier to write. Also, with this one, I'll probably post only during the weekends, not daily like with the Novel's Extra's Extra. Firstly because I want to finish the other one, and also because I need to research a lot more (I'm not that knowledgeable in Harry Potter.) As usual, any feedback and criticism will be well received, and thanks for reading! Will be posting this in Scribble Hub and Webnovel too.
