《Kenosis of the Light Bearer》Chapter 41 - What can a mortal do to an Immortal?

He nodded his head and entered the next room. Inside there were a bunch of lifeless dolls. Once he entered the dolls sprang up and their eyes sparkled with red light. Their eyes were glass like cameras and their arms were silver like swords that cut the air.
They had a vicious air about them but their blades were blunt and wouldn’t kill anyone. Only seriously injure them. They swung their arms at him and rushed in to attack.
The goal was to defend and survive until the buzzer stops but he didn’t care for such conventional rules. He used his various skills and techniques to completely destroy the dolls one by one. There was a 20 minute limit but before 2 minutes had passed he had already smashed them so bad they were unable to move. There was a second and a third stage but they weren’t real people. Their skills were lacking in all areas and their moves were completely predictable. This was the easier test of them all, when it came to hand to hand skill he was unmatched.
He destroyed them all before they could even enter their second and third modes.
She was wide eyed, open mouthed, jumping around in excitement and smothering him in her cleavage as she celebrated like she won the lotto.
‘Tsk, I’m the one who scored beyond perfect yet she’s the one all excited. Heh…’ He found her to be quite an amusing person.
“B..but, the goal was to survive as long as you can. The minimum to pass is 20 minutes in the first stage. But you beat them all in 2 minutes. The system can’t register it and your score is…”
“Ah, what? My score is what?”
“It’s… Unknown.”
‘I overdid it again. Sigh.’
They made their way back to the office when a bunch of sounds were heard as she tapped away on her screen.

Beep, beep, beep
After a series of noises a gem was produced and handed to Lucifer. It was a simple bronze colored gem and when he rubbed his hand over it some information appeared in the form of a hologram next to an image of his own face.
--
Name: Lucifer Akira Position: Transfer Student Meal Tickets: 4,501 Silver Ambassador Class Rank: Unknown Overall Rank: 634,141,231,001,203 School Points: N/A Balance: 5.6 Credits Race: Human Type: Mortal
--
Lucifers eyes lit up, “Oh, it even has my meal tickets?”
The lady nodded, “Yes, it is connected to your silver embassy card. It updates automatically thanks to the campus wide Wi-Fi.”
Lucif nodded his head, “Wi-Fi? The entire campus has Wi-Fi?”
“Yes, quantum Wi-Fi and there is no passcode. Just click and log on.”
Lucif started thinking about the VR headset he had in his bag, apparently it was different from this worlds known VR. They said it was a full dive system. He didn’t know if it would work but he couldn’t wait to test it out. If he remembered correctly, a full dive system was a virtual reality that could transport the user’s consciousness into the game.
He saw it on an anime once but he wasn’t sure about the details.
Lucif looked at the hologram again, and noticed the outrageously high ranking number listed down. He didn’t understand and had a blank stare on his face, “Rank 634 trillion? What the…”
“There’s no way there is this many people on campus right?”
“Oh no, definitely not. On our humble piece of pie in the sky, there are 100 thousand students and 600 thousand or so other residents. This test is the standard UCA test, not only for this school but for all schools in the cosmos.”

“There are over 634 trillion students?”
She scratched her head and said slowly, “Honestly speaking, I’ve never seen a ranking this low before. More than likely the system assigned you the lowest rank. This is the overall system that governs all the planets under the UCA and the rank last forever. Even after you die, your rank will remain on record and will only change if someone beats your test scores. The higher your rank is, the greater your overall prestige will be. As a person who is a silver rank noble or should I say as a silver ambassador of the UCA. Your ranking should be incredibly high. But the system seems to have broken when you broke through its default perimeters.”
“Your true ranking has not been added yet because the system was not sure how to assign you since your scores were unprecedented on the first level. But I had to enter you into the system regardless so your rank is quite low. Sorry about that.”
A vein appeared on Lucifs head, ‘I guess being too awesome does have its short comings.’
“W..wait, you said something about this only being the first level?”
“Yes, this is only the first on the 9 testing levels. The higher you go, the harder it gets. After you pass through all nine levels you earn a ticket to the intergalactic school tournament where you can fight for the prestige of your school and earn eternal glory. This is also the only way to improve your rankings above the 100 million mark.”
“So even with my perfect scores, I wouldn’t be able to rank above 100 million?”
She nodded her head, “You wouldn’t even rank above the 100 billion mark.”
So many huge numbers were making Lucifs head spin, back in his day the population barely peaked over 10 billion. And 10 billion was considered a massive overpopulation.
“But how can my impossible scores get such a low rank overall.”
“Really kid, you are asking me this now? Where were you raised? You should know all about how it works. Well, no matter. I shall explain it since your parents seem to have failed to do so. There are 3 ranking list, if we were to put you on the mortal ranking list I have no doubt in my heart that you would be number 1, not only in the Parafire star system but in the entire milky way galaxy!”
She thumped her foot as she proclaimed boldly, in her mind she was dead certain that no one could match his test scores. “But…” she stopped in place, looked into the distance and sighed.
“What can a mortal do to an Immortal?”
