《Kenosis of the Light Bearer》Chapter 40 - Skills of deduction

Lucif used his skills of deduction to make a few basic judgements. The first was the fact that their bodies were incredibly hard but anyone with half a brain would know that. The second observational fact was that their bodies weighed a ton. Every time they jumped from the wall, it would shake and tremble. When they landed on the ground, it would shake and tremble once again. It was obvious and anyone could pick up on the not so subtle clues. But how many would think to utilize this information to their advantage? Or more accurately speaking, who would have the skill to take advantage of this information.
How were they were able to move with such incredible speed and power. Their speed added to their weight could only mean one thing. The ground and walls were powerful beyond belief; they could handle the enormous weight and power of the robots without incurring a single scratch.
No doubt many bullets had kissed the floor before but they were in perfect condition like they had been constructed yesterday. With such a hard surface it would be easy to skim a bullet off its surface. If it bent and warped after being hit by the bullet then it would be even harder to guess the trajectory but it wouldn’t. Lucif was 93% confident about this fact.
The two bullets collided with the floor, bouncing off the floor and flew right into the foreheads of two robots. They passed through and continued on to the roof, hit the roof and struck two more robots on the way back. They were both now largely deformed yet they had three more robots to take care of.
They bounced off the floor, losing a large amount of momentum but still struck two more robots perfectly in the head. But it was a close call, one of the bullets almost missed and hit the eye instead.

The two bullets hit the roof once again and lost a lot of momentum and warped into two munted pieces of bullet. So much that they could no longer maintain their true speed and slowed down significantly.
The last robot had jumped off the wall before Lucif shot, the robot was currently flying through the air when he made his two shots. Lucif crossed his fingers, this shot was down to luck.
He knew the first 6 shots would succeed but this one was a different story. He could estimate the robots speed and trajectory, but he had no idea if the bullets could fall and hit the back of the robots head in time. He was flying fast and the bullets were falling towards the ground.
Hitting a moving target was one thing, but hitting a moving target with a triple ricochet was another.
Lucif tensed up and time seemed to slow down and play in slow motion, the bullet fell. It looked like it wouldn’t hit but surprisingly it hit the back of the robots head and went right through the bullseye. But Lucif didn’t celebrate yet, the power behind the bullet was greatly diminished so it wouldn’t be able to trigger the robots sensors. It was in the target, but it was very shallow.
That’s when the second bullet smashed into the back of the first bullet and both bullets went through the newly created hole.
“Yes!”
Lucif almost jumped in excitement. He couldn’t see the bullets moving but he could see the blurs from the munted and slowed bullets. He was able to see the two shadows enter the hole and he knew, he knew that he had succeeded.
But he didn’t want to celebrate early, in case his eyes had betrayed him. After all, bullets move incredibly fast. It was already inhuman that he was able to see their shadows.

The robots stood there doing nothing, it seemed like time had slowed down indefinitely and not even the atoms dared to move in such a tense atmosphere. In what felt like a lifetime but really, only last a single second all 7 robots fell to the ground. On the screen to the side, a number flashed, ‘Bullseyes: 23.’
The number shook her even more, 23 bullseyes? There were only 22 targets. The last two bullets had entered at the same time so they counted as two separate bullseyes. Not only did he completely smash the record, he broke the system again!
“I…I don’t know what to think anymore.” She shook her head and gestured for him to follow her. She was thoroughly convinced that Lucif wasn’t a human but some sort of mortal deity. Lucif wiped the sweat from his head and quickly followed while he silently rejoiced in his heart.
They proceeded on to the next course, it was an obstacle course. As soon as he entered he was like a fish in the water. Ducking, dodging, weaving and making it without failing or slipping once. It seemed as if the obstacle course was nothing but a casual walk in the park.
The second test was similar except the obstacles moved around in different directions, he had to carefully maneuver and jump over the speeding objects. And the third and final test was the same but it had to be done blind folded. He was only allowed one look at the course. But in the end, he effortless completed all three stages my memorizing its movement patterns.
“H…how?” She was left open mouthed again but she recovered many times faster this time. She was no longer in awe by his abilities but had just come to expect him to wow her again and again.
“Alright, alright. You did well on the first two, but this last one is completely different from what you are used to kid. This next course can hurt you, are you sure you want to do it?”
“Of course.”
“Okay, the safe word is mashed potato. If you need help just say the safe word and the system will automatically stop.”
