《Kenosis of the Light Bearer》Chapter 38 - Kill the Daruma President IV

This was the turning point. The last health bar was gone and the golden crows had yet to finish regenerating so it was bound to use another special ability.
The daruma lowered its head, puffed its nostrils, stomped its feet and then lifted its head again. Its eyes were now completely bloodshot and the danger and frustration in its eyes were clearly visible.
In its insane anger, it opened its mouth and roared in a high pitch frequency. It spread like a sonic boom as the sound barrier broke and shattered into pieces. The sound wave was visible in the air, like a blast of TNT.
Boom!
The roar spewed into the air and the rocket launcher exploded in the soldiers hands. A fire erupted from the explosion and the soldier died as a result. The engines of the plane flickered out and he started losing speed and altitude.
“Lost power? Shit. What was that? An EMP or something? It can create a pinch with its voice? Wtf, this is impossible.” The plane was going to crash into the ground unless it regained power immediately.
“No, I’ve come too damn far to give up now.”
Lucif climbed onto the wings of the plane and used his weight and the planes remaining momentum to pull the wing to the left. The plane turned 25 degrees and began a nose dive straight towards the Daruma’s reddened eyes. It seemed incapable of closing them now that it had been enraged, it was worn out, tired and had used its final trump move. It stared straight at Lucif as he went full kamikaze on it.
Boom!
The plane exploded into the Daruma president’s eye, Lucifs health bar dropped to nothing and he died instantly. A cut scene played out as the Daruma screamed and roared as the fire spread over his head and blood gushed out of its mouth. His 100 empty hearts slowly burnt away and turned into dust as he fell to the ground dead.

The surroundings changed and he found himself back in the office.
“Sooo, did I pass?”
As he looked at the lady he was surprised to see her face wide open in shock and disbelief. When she heard his words she slammed her hand on the desk and almost shattered it.
“Pass? PASS! Kid, the reason for this stage is to test a student’s determination and willpower. If you persist after being defeated 10 times you pass, if you try 10 times and you make it to the 30 Daruma guards then you are qualified for B-Class. If you make it to the boss you are promoted to A-Class. Each try takes at least an hour so the test for a passing grade would take up to 10 hours. The test is designed in a way that makes it impossible to actually win. By getting its health completely down, you are qualified for S-Class but you actually killed the president!”
Lucif was wide eyed and he didn’t know what to say, “So what does that mean?”
“What does it mean? It means the entire test was invalidated. The machine glitched when you killed him. You are amazing, a prodigy, a genius, a superstar and could be put on the fast track to becoming a general. But your score is unknown and it gave back a default reading of zero.”
“Zero? But can’t you overwrite it.”
“Unfortunately, I can’t overwrite the systems perimeters. Only a UCA commander and higher can. We have two at our school but the principal is away on business at the moment and won’t be back for another 2 years.”
She furrowed her eyebrows and then thought some more.
“I could ask the Vice Principal but he is on a mission for the UCA and I don’t know when he will be back. What we can do is have you pay another exam fee and have you do this 10 more times scoring an A or S ranking. Then when the Vice President or the President returns we can have your ranking officially changed.”

“Another exam? No thanks.” Lucif looked dejected as he sighed, ‘I can’t afford another exam fee. These damn money hungry people.’
She stopped for a moment then relaxed a bit before she said quietly, “It was even impossible for me to process your memorization and comprehension test too because I’m not qualified enough. Ay kid, you sure are giving me a headache. The only thing I can do is assign you as a transfer student but your marks are as is. I can’t overwrite the automated system without admin access. You scored a perfect ten for the memorization test but when the system recorded your answer for the comprehension test it changed your score to unknown. Test 1, results: unknown. Test 2, results: Unknown.”
He waved his hands, “Que sera, sera. Whatever will be, will be.”
She looked at him with a kindness in her eyes, ‘This kid is pretty humble and likeable. He could easily pay the cheap entrance fee again and become the highest ranking mortal at Enochian Academia yet he chooses not to. Is it because he has no airs about him? He really has no thirst to be popular and worshipped by others? How commendable.’
Lucif saw her smile and sadly smiled back. Of course her thoughts were completely misplaced. It wasn’t that he didn’t want to show off. It’s that he was too bloody poor.
“Alright then, let me explain to you the third test. The third test is a simple obstacle course and it only contributes a small amount to your score but even if you score high on it, there is no point because your scores are high enough to instantly rank you as the highest ranking mortal student in school. And, I’m slightly afraid you will break the system again.”
“But won’t I get a zero if I skip the fitness, prowess and coordination test?”
She shook her head, “No, it will just display a dash but you can sit it anytime you like if you want to change it. The perfect score on the memorization test is worth 10 points, the war mission is worth 10 and the fitness test is worth 3 points. There are 3 stages and each stage has 3 levels of difficulty, so 9 levels in total.”
