《Kenosis of the Light Bearer》Chapter 36 - Kill the Daruma President II

As he looked around he could see fire rising from the east and west. A gigantic green arrow floated in the air to the north. To the south of him was a hanger and inside lay a small unarmed airplane, next to the hanger was a small motorbike, a giant military tank, an attack helicopter, a bulletproof hummer, a lamborghini, a milk tanker, a sky skateboard, a crane, a donkey and many other methods of transportation.
Lying on the ground in front of him were sixty or more items. There was a spear, a machine gun and a rocket launcher among other items.
‘10 tries? Then it must be incredibly difficult to win. I require out of the box thinking for this task. Well, I have ten tries so I should waste my first try gathering information to narrow down my options and figure out a plan.’
“Sarg, we will never make it if we walk. Pick a vehicle, some vehicles can only carry certain types of weapons due to their size and weight so we have to be critical with our choice.”
He rubbed his hands and then pointed towards the hangar. “Let’s get in the plane and survey the area from the sky.”
“Yes sarg, but the plane is small. We can only carry two of these items on the plane, one heavy and one light.”
“Alright then, this is only a test run. Just grab any random two things.”
After he said this, the scene started to change and they were now flying through the air, from here he could see giant horses around 30-40 meters in height stomping on the airplanes and tanks. The soldiers were fighting them and failing. The horses were just too huge and powerful. Each stomp would make the entire ground shake. The soldiers would fall over and then get stomped on. Their tanks were easily crushed under the stomping.

“W..what are those?”
“They are our enemy sarg, the Daruma horse. To the north is the filthy Dars president.”
“We are fighting horses?” The soldier nodded in response as he flew the plane.
They flew through the air quickly and Lucif realized that the attack helicopter would probably be too slow to survey the area. He would end up getting caught in the fighting and wasting time. This was definitely the best option for now. He could see everything from up here. So the next time he tried he could have a greater understanding of the terrain and use it to his advantage.
The soldiers were shooting guns and rocket launchers at the Daruma but their skin was incredibly thick. It was slowly wearing them down but it would take too long at this rate, by the time the Daruma fell a lot of the army would have been killed. It was be a false victory if both sides ended up mutually dying.
‘Weak points, weak points… I don’t see any weak points.’ Lucif muttered to himself as he made a plan in his head.
They continued to fly over the Daruma but their plane seemed to have a height restriction and they couldn’t fly over 80 meters in height.
A Daruma jumped and nearly crushed their plane into pieces but they quickly swerved and dodged as they flew closer and closer to the green arrow in the sky.
Now Lucif could see what the green arrow was pointing to, it was a giant Dars horse at least 60-70 meters in height, almost twice the height of the others. It was surrounded by 20 to 30 other horses and it was neighing at the sky in triumph. “Keeeehhhhillll huuummmaannnsss….Kehehehehiill hummmaaans….”
On its head were two horns that shined with a golden radiance. They obviously weren’t naturally but perhaps something similar to a crown forged from a material similar to gold. But the gold was burning like it was made of fire. The aura it gave off was fearsome and powerful, any normal person would shiver at the sight of it.

They continued dodging and swerving as they came closer and closer. At this point the surrounding Daruma reacted and they charged out from the Presidents side and tried to bring the plane down from the sky but it was useless. The giant horses crashed into each other as they all rushed in at the same time. They may be giant beast with house sized brains but a big brain doesn’t equal greater intelligence.
‘Definitely not the smartest bunch of horses I’ve ever seen.’ He sighed and flew on.
“We are actually getting pretty close to the President, what weapons did you bring? Let’s see how strong this boss monster is.”
“Right sarg, I grabbed the shield and the rocket launcher.”
“Okay, the rocket launcher is good. But a shield? Why a shield? Maybe I can poke him in the eye with it? Ah, never mind. It doesn’t matter. Soldier, grab the rocket launcher and aim for the Presidents eyeball.”
“Ay ay sarg, take over the controls while I line up the shot.” A cut scene played where Lucif climbed into the front seat and took control of the plane. It felt very unrealistic because he couldn’t actually feel the movements and he wasn’t in full control of the plane. He could move the plane and swerve it but that was the limit. The scenery itself was quite surreal though, despite it being an illusion his brain couldn’t tell the difference between real height and fake height. He was experiencing a false feeling of vertigo.
The system was doing everything else automatically. If he wanted to take control of the plane he had to ask the NPC, he couldn’t do actions like that by himself. He could walk around too but he would end up tripping over the floor or bumping into the desk. If games were like this, then he could see that they wouldn’t be very popular.
But in contrast to his opinion, billions played VR games like this. They had special rooms designed for moving without bumping into anything and hand controls to control the game character. In reality, games should’ve been much more advanced than they are now but the millennial war took a harsh toll on recreational services such as this. It was only during the last 50 years that video games were making a comeback.

Legends of Balarel - A Leisurely LitRPG
Glenn Redwood has longed to become an Adventurer since he was a young boy, and has focused every waking moment on that goal since turning 14. Answering the challenge of the Gods of Balarel, he has fought Monsters, Leveled, and grown stronger. Yet the day before his 16th birthday, the day he will earn his dream or lose it forever ... the Gods have made a wager. And no mere mortal wishes to draw the attention of the Gods. ***** This is my crack at writing a leisurely LitRPG. My focus is more on telling interesting stories set in a world where people live under a MMORPG-like ruleset enforced by the Gods, and less on writing another story where the MC gets massive stat boosts every chapter before heading off to wreck the world. There will be plenty of blue tables (it’s LitRPG!) but my Adventurers are just starting out. This fic is about the journey, not the destination, so expect everyone to Level ... leisurely. Updates: M-T-W-Th. I’ll post 3000-4000 words a day, or 12000-15000 words a week. If this posting pace ends up being too much for me, I reserve the right to slow posts down a bit. Inspirations: Blessed Time (Royal Road) Is It Wrong To Try To Pick Up Girls In a Dungeon? (Anime) Trails in the Sky (JRPG Series) MC: My MC is a genuinely good person who’s both a talented warrior and tactically savvy. He prefers to solve problems without violence but will resort to force if necessary to protect his friends or innocent people. I’m tired of stories starring anti-hero MCs facing endless doom and gloom, so I wanted to write a nice guy with an adventurous spirit who helps people in a thriving fantasy world. That’s all.

Interdimensional Resource Collector in a Fantasy World: (A LitRPG)
The Strada republic has been fighting the Klada High Oligarchy, another multi-solar civilization for over half a century. The law of their dimension permits the conservation of the dimensional properties of items from different dimensions; however, they cannot recreate them in their own world. As such they rely on IRC, Interdimensional Resource Collectors to seize items such as weapons, or raw resources from different dimensions. Orion Dandillon is one of these billions of workers. He has been working as an IRC for roughly two centuries and is now sent to a type-M/22 world. In other words, a fantasy world with a system. Release schedule: Minimum of 3 chapters a week, however, I’ll release more at the start. I’ll decide on a more consistent release schedule later.
