We arrive in front of the house and it's pretty big, there is fencing surrounding the property. Adamantite ore has a very dark red shade, nearly black, but once melted and purified it becomes a deep black color. The fences are this color, we go through the gates and get a close look at the house, it's all white marble, it is slightly glowing from the magic enchantments. I run a lap around the house, the base seems to be about 200m², sort of like a vacation villa back in my old world. The only difference being the design of the house, it's two stories tall, and sort of looks like a mini-mansion. The entire property is about 400m², I take out the key they gave me and we walk in. Inside we are greeted by a beautiful lobby, there is decor everywhere, vases, tables, carpets, paintings, it matches the house really well, all that money wasn't put too waste. There is a huge staircase in the middle leading to the second floor, to the right there's a door leading to greeting room, to the left a door leading to a living room, behind the stairs is a door leading to a hallway, there are a few doors, one leads to a basement, another to a bath, one goes to a kitchen and the last heads to an outdoor patio. We head upstairs and check out the rooms up here, there's a study, three bedrooms, and an outdoor balcony. We check out the backyard, it's mostly empty besides a gazebo in the middle of a pond taking up 25% of the yard. I'm surprised this wasn't mentioned at the guild, maybe he forgot about it since no one besides the maintenance crew ever comes here. Rosa is looking at the pond, I head to the basement, inside I find a small pedestal with a glowing orb on it.

Magic Power Orb

An orb filled with magic power it can be used as a core, catalyst, and enchantment base.

This is probably powering magic tools throughout the house as well as giving the marble it's enchantments.

(Lilith) [Hey Rosa! Come down to the basement.]

(Rosa) [Okay.]

Rosa arrives and she checks out the Magic Orb. She touches it and closes her eyes. She opens them and then.

(Rosa) "What is this garbage enchantment! It's terribly optimized, it's wasting 70% of the magic in it!"

I jolted not expecting Rosa to start yelling. Rosa cracks her nonexistent knuckles and places her hands on the orb and her eyes start glowing.

(Rosa) "Absolute Magic! System Spell Godly Enchantment!"

The orb started shining and a glaring light surrounded the room. The room felt like it was shaking and warping. What the hell did Rosa do!? The light died down and I almost fell from shock at what remained. Where the pedestal and orb used to be, a gigantic floating crystal appeared. The orb was about the size of a volleyball, this crystal is pink and looks like a 3D version of Rosa's symbol. It's glowing and is at least 2.5 meters in height and width. Rosa is standing in front of it with a smug smile on her face.

(Rosa) "There we go, much better. Now you aren't a joke."

Absolute Magic Crystal

A magic crystal created by the Magic Queen, it has the magic to create a protective barrier in a 500-meter radius strong enough to block multiple attacks from an S-Class monster and absorbs all magic. If expanded to cover a 20km distance it can prevent all attacks from A-Class monsters and absorb all magic. Only the Magic Queen or a god can destroy the crystal.

Rosa just made our house a fortress. Is she expecting an S-Class monster to somehow waltz up and attack our house?

I'm trying to process this right now. Is Rosa technically in a similar position as the Origin Dragons? What is this talent!? Well, it's Rosa, I guess it's normal. I just hope no one sensed the creation of that crystal.

knock knock knock

Someone's here? We head to the front door and open it, in front of us was Crya and she's looking at us with an eyebrow twitching. Looks like someone did sense that crystal being created. sigh I shouldn't have jinxed myself.

(Crya) "Why are you sighing? I should be the one sighing. Now tell me, why did I feel a huge spike in pure magic energy all the way from Blizzard Mountain Range?"

It spread that far!?

(Lilith) "Well, you see, Rosa decided to upgrade the magic orb that was in this house we bought."

(Crya) "Just upgrade?"

(Rosa) "Yep!"

(Lilith) "Just follow me to the basement."

We head down to the basement and Crya stares wide-eyed at the huge crystal.

(Crya) "I thought it was upgrading a Magic Orb!?"

(Lilith) "I don't know how this happened!? It was a Magic Orb! After Rosa used magic to make it better this happened!"

(Rosa) "Yep yep! Isn't it pretty? smug face"

Now's not the time for a smug face Rosa. I have to remember she can't feel fear or shame.

(Lilith) "After this happened Rosa acquired the Magic Queen and Potential Goddess Candidate titles."

(Crya) "She has a royal world title!? How much did you two improve!?"

Her eyes glow as she looks at us.

(Crya) "Level 84 and 87!? sighs and rubs forehead I'll go and explain this to the council. You two, don't do anything stupid."

(Lilith) "That's rude! We haven't done anything stupid!"

(Crya) "Fighting an S+ boss while being far too low level isn't stupid? Yes, Levi has told me."

That Leviathan sure likes to gossip.

Crya leaves and for the next few days before the tournament, we explore the capital and practice in our backyard. We created something special for the tournament.

It's the day of the tournament, we head to the Colosseum and go to the participant's waiting area. First, are the preliminaries, all participants were split into four groups, where there will be four free-for-alls. The four remaining duos advance to the main tournament.

We are in the fourth group, watching are going to spend a few hours in the waiting area watching the first three rounds on a magic screen. There are floating screens and speakers outside the Colosseum for those who couldn't get tickets to watch the action.

The first group was an explosive battle, I heard some people on the council are participating, the king isn't though, he's watching. I finally got to see what he looks like on-screen, he's a handsome looking oni, I wonder what his status looks like to have the ability to create the country, despite his age he looks no older than 28. I bet he's a target of jealousy.

In the arena, all stats are reduced to as if you were level 25, and all weapons and armor that give stats higher than 300 are reduced to 300, but like I thought skills aren't nerfed, at the end all four winning duos comprised of A-S rank monsters. I see Crya is participating and she teamed up with a young-looking man with dark green hair, bird wings, and long curved devil horns. Is that Rey? I haven't seen him in a long time, looks like he got stronger, he can humanize now. During the battle, there was this announcer girl hyping everything up. She was a council member, Kris the one in charge of finance, is she hyping everything up so there are more profits, probably, I believe she also runs the Commerce Guild. She looks like a Harpy but her wings are purple instead of brown or white. All the Council members are Unique Monsters not too surprising her wings are different.

(Kris) "The first Preliminary Round has been completed! Let's introduce the pairs moving on to the second round.

First, we have the Trial Masters! Crya the Ice Queen and Rey the Jungle King! Crya and her icy glare can bring down anyone, look there it is being used on me right now. Looks like Rey evolved and gained a humanization skill. Looking good Rey. I think I see a bunch of lovestruck fan-girls.

Next, we have the Hot-Heads! Tyson the War General and Lavana the Aggressive Queen. Tyson looks like he wants to have some fun, he must be bored being a War General in a country that's never gone to war. Hey, stop glaring at me, Tyson!"

(Tyson) "Then stop talking shit you profiteering bird-brain!"

(Kris) "Looks like someone's feisty today. Lavana should be famous among the adventurers, no one dares offend her, or they risk losing their lifeline or their life."

(Lavana) "Hey, I haven't killed any adventurers! Only injured!"

Tyson is a minotaur with red horns and gold fur, he looks at least 4 meters tall, he's wearing red full-plate armor, and is wielding a two-handed great axe, but he can hold it in one. Lavana looks exactly the same when we met her, the only difference is she's wielding pair hammers as weapons.

(Kris) "Next, we have the Dark and Light Duo! Rai the Night King and Luz the Light Queen! These two Origin Dragons are masters of Light and Dark. They hold the position of being the top two among the Origin Dragons."

These Origin Dragons, like all Origin Dragons they have good looks. Rai has black hair, he is wearing a black tuxedo, and has black eyes. Luz has white hair, she is wearing an elegant white kimono, and has silver eyes.

(Kris) "Finally, we have the Night-Crawlers! Koichi the Illusion Toad and Yuki the Phantom Kitsune. These S-Rank adventurers have shown their might, their tactics and illusions are tricky, but don't let that fool you their strength is still that of S-Ranks."

They look like ninjas. Koichi is wearing a dark blue shinobi shozoku, all I can see are the frog eyes on his face. Yuki is wearing a dark blue shinobi shozoku, she has nine fox-tails, her tails have silver fur and blue tips, and fox ears stick from her head.

Looks like the second preliminary round is going to start.
