“This is a lykanos, I recognize that howl!” Said Amelia.

“Let's go check.” I said.

The river is neither wide nor deep, so I can cross it without any problem.

Once on the other side, I head carefully towards the noise.

I became much stronger compared to before, I can feel it. But even if the lykanoss are not as scary as the arnives, it remains dangerous if a whole pack attacks me.

“On our left.” Said Amelia.

“I saw it.” I said.

A lykanos is moving towards me at full speed.

I use [Dragon roar] before it reaches me, the lykanos is paralyzed.

Amelia and I then use [Fire breath]. The lykanos catches fire and dies in less than two seconds. It didn’t even have time to scream before its death...

It must be their lair!

This lykanos is much bigger and more frightening than those I have met so far.

It stares at me with an angry look.

Description: Pack leader. Powerful lykanos which can strengthen its allies.

Active skills: [Charge], [Bite], [Enrage], [Allies enhancement].

This red aura must be its skill [Enrage].

Although it looks strong, it is alone, so it doesn’t represent a great danger.

I will use the same strategy as usual: paralyze it then burn it.

The alpha lykanos catches fire, but it doesn’t seem to suffer!

I'm thrown back by the impact and landed on the ground.

How fast, I didn’t even have time to dodge!

I get up, but don’t see the alpha lykanos around me.

“Above!” Said Amelia.

The alpha lykanos takes the opportunity that I was on the ground to jump on me.

Amelia uses [Fire breath], but again, the alpha lykanos ignores the pain and slams me to the ground, falling on me with all its weight.

The alpha lykanos then sinks its fangs into my back.

Ahhhhh!

It hurts! I can’t get up or move my head because of the weight of the alpha lykanos that is above me.

Fortunately, Amelia can still move, she uses [Fire breath] and [Bite] several times. However, the alpha lykanos totally ignores her attacks and continues to bite me.

My HP are dangerously low!

My skill [Dragon roar] is available again. Amelia uses it.

I take advantage of the paralysis of the alpha lykanos to get out of its grip. Then use [Fire breath] with Amelia.

Fortunately this alpha lykanos was alone, otherwise...

The hole of the lair is very wide since the lykanoss are huge. However, I don’t know how deep it is.

I thought about it and I think it's too risky to go down in this hole. Since it's dark inside I risk being ambushed.

I will use [Fire breath] inside the lair to force them out and attack them by surprise.

However, no lykanos comes out. Maybe there was no other lykanos inside...

I hear a little scream and see something rushing towards the exit of the lair. I put myself in attack position.

A... Little puppy!

I was expecting to see a lykanos out of the lair, but a puppy came out...
