《Reborn as a nine-tailed fox [Rewrite]》Mission-Kill

It was the next day now and Nevada woke up, when the sun was risen from the horizon.
He got out of the bed and put on his clothes, starting with his underwear, then his shirt and pants. Finishing off with his socks and boots. He then takes his coat and changes his appearance, that of a human and leaves the room. He closes and locks the door behind.
He walks down the stairs, while putting on his white coat, and once he is down the stairs, he leaves the inn. He leaves his coat open and sets foot towards the Church of Sola, without his equipment, as he can't just casually enter a church with a sword on his back and knives on his waist. If something goes to shit, he can make weapons out of Ice, which are good enough, to kill and steal his enemies weapon.
Nevada walks through the busy streets of Asuy kingdom. The stores are already open and the merchants are selling their products at their stands. The people, who aren't working, are walking towards their work. And obviously, Nevada caught a lot of pair of eyes, because of his Mark of Sola. Those, who do know it meanings, look at him with respect. And for those, who don't, they just look at him, like an idiot, who got a white face tattoo.
His walk ends in front of a big cathedral, which is completely white with gold linings. There is a tall tower in the middle and four short with one in each of the four corners of the building.
He looks at the Cathedral and thinks'I want to burn this shithole down and every other thing, related to Sola.'
He looks at the door and mutters"I hope I won't puke from the disgusting words I'm gonna speak."
He pushes open the two heavy wooden door, which open, while making a loud creaking sound. Once the doors are pushed open, he could see rows of benches with a decorated altar at the end of the room. In front the altar, a man in white robes was praying.
Nevada looked at the sight in front of him and sighed a little, as he shook his head. He goes through the doorway and closes the doors behind him.

Nevada moves towards the man in front of the altar, while passing the rows of wooden benches on both sides.
When he vest closer to the man, he gets up and turns around, to reveal a face of a man in his fifties with long gray hair. He looks at Nevada for a few seconds, before seeing his mark and immediately kneeling in front of him.
"Servant of Sola. It's a honour to be in your presents. How may this humble believer help you?"the man says with a voice full of respect.
"Please get up. We are both loyal servants of the great Goddess Sola. So there is no need to kneel."Nevada tells the man in front of him, who looks up to him. While holding his hands together in a prayer, he says"So humble. Thank you."
He gets onto his feet and hides his hands in his sleeves.
"No. Thank you for such a warm welcome."Nevada replies"Could we talk somewhere."
"Of course. Yes. Please follow me."he says with an exited voice and starts to walk away, with Nevada following him.
They soon enter an office, with a small statue of Sola on his desk.
"Please. Sit down."he tells Nevada and points his hand towards the white couch, on which Nevada sits down, with the man sitting down next to him.
"May I ask, why have you come to visit us?"he asks Nevada, who immediately replies"Yes. My travels of spreading out Goddess' faith have brought me here."
"What is so special about our humble church?"he asks Nevada, who immediately thinks'Humble?. This is humble? Hah.'
"There is a particular man, who I have heard of. He supposedly is a generous man, who donates money to the Church often."
"Aah yes. You must mean Earl Robert Hyel Wilhelm."
"Yes. He is the one."Nevada replies to him.
"Thats good to hear. Have you come to see him personally?"he asks Nevada, who nods and answers"Yes. I have come here personally, to see him and pray towards Sola, to bless him for his kindness."
"Thats and amazing news. I shall arrange the meeting for tomorrow. I don't want to slow your travels down too much now."

"Thank you for your help. I shall return here tomorrow, but in the meanwhile, I will enjoy the beauty of this city."Nevada replies and they both get up.
"Bless Sola."
"Bless Sola."
An hour later, Nevada is sitting on the edge of the bed and thinks'That was so horrible.'
The next day, Nevada had followed the priest to Roberts mansion and both of them, had now, entered the building. They were guided through a decorated hallway, by the butler.
"Sir Wilhelm is waiting for you here."The butler says and opens a door.
"Stay here please. I would like to talk privately."Nevada tells the priest.
"Of course."he replies and stays behind the door, with the butler. The door is closed behind Nevada and now, he looks at the ugly fat bastard in front of him.
"Thank you for coming to visit me."he says, without even bothering to get up.
"No. Thank you for seeing me."Nevada replies and without dragging anything out, he takes the mask from his inner pocket and puts it one.
In the next moment, he is in front of the fat man, holding a knife at his throat and the other hand on his mouth.
"Adriana sends her regards, fatass."Nevada then slices his throat and grabs ring from the mans middle finger, as a proof.
Nevadas job was now done and he camouflaged himself, seemingly disappearing from the room. He silently waits in the corner of the room for half an hour, before the butler opens the door.
"Sir. Is everything....."he stops, as he sees his Master dead, with his throat slit.
"Sir!"he screams and runs over to the body, with the church man following him.
"Who did it? Wait...He is gone!"the butler yells.
"Your servant is gone. The assassin must have took him."the butler yells at the man, who immediately says.
"We must find him now. Gather your man."he tells the butler and the two run out of the room, with Nevada silently following them.
He sneaks through the hallways and in five minutes, he is out of the house. He now runs towards his inn, on the roofs, while keeping his camouflage on. After ten minutes of running and jumping, he gets to his inn and sneaks in through the window.
Nevada then puts on all of his equipment and in two minute, he is gone without a trace.
11th day of 9th month year 10440
A young female dogkin was enjoying her tea outside, in her garden, as she looked at the beautiful view. As he was enjoying the view a d the drink, her ears suddenly twitches and so, she watched in a direction, where sh thought, she heard the noise.
Her face showed a little surprise, when he saw the tall kitsune figure in front his eyes, wearing a white mask.
"Are you the assassin, who accepted my mission?"she asks him, who throws a ring at her, which she catches and looks at.
"The jobs done."he tells the woman, who replies"Good. Now for your pay."
As she says that, a maid suddenly appears, with a coin pouch on the metal tray, she is holding up with her hands. Nevada takes the payment and puts it onto his belt.
"Before you go, may ask you as a beastkin to beastkin. Did killing made you feel at ease, knowing there is one less bastard alive?"she asks him, with a curious voice.
"As an assassin, I have to say it was just a job. But as a beastkin to beastkin, it felt good killing the fat bastard. Killed by the thing he hated the most. Ironic."Nevada says and the next moment, he is disappeared.
"I like that one."she mutters and then yells"Ela. From now on, I want him to do my missions that I give to Ice Fort."
"Of course Mistress."The maid replies to her.
Adriana looks at the beautiful rose field and mutters"One down. Nine to go."

The Psysword Chronicles (HIATUS)
"Definitely above average. You've woven in enough goodness in the first 5 chaps to warrant a deeper dive." -RaccoonMage "A well written Isekai." -TaxReligion "When I saw it was an isekai I expected the same old tropes. And, while the main character was indeed transported to fight the main villain, that is as far as the main tropes go[...] I was pleasantly surprised." -doravg "[T]his novel has lot of good things going on for it[...] I can see this becoming one of top tier novels on this site." -Crow3r A fantastical world called the Ecumene. A sinister invasion by forces of the Underworld. A war that threatens to rend the Three Realms asunder. 18-year-old Kendrick is from another universe entirely, summoned to be the hero the Ecumene needs... but he's kind of a clumsy goof. Two companions—a fiery, battle-ready witch named Bellara and a soft-spoken, friendly healer named Sahni—welcome him to the Ecumene for one purpose: he may be the only one that can save it. Why? Precisely because he's an outsider to their world. And how? With an ancient weapon that seems tailor-made for him alone: the Psysword. Book 1 complete.

Ars Magica
Our vision comes back into focus. Our eyes, while being able to perceive the immediate surroundings, still leave us with our minds uncomprehending towards what is actually occurring. Sure, there are definitive things that we can focus on, like the fact that we're either out upon the open sea or the open ocean, there not being much of a difference with no land in sight, as well as the fact that we appear to be upon a haphazardly constructed metal boat, whose seams are barely able to keep a hold of themselves in the crashing waves. However, that does not let us understand what exactly is causing the waves in the first place. If we were to rewind time, we'd find ourselves upon a calm sea under a peaceful sky with the only difference, being a small whirlpool that would be the precursor towards this uproar around the boat. Lightning flashes in the sky, with no clouds being near, and anyone actually manning the boat has either died towards the cause of the smashing tides in the first place, or are fighting amongst the flashes of lightning, all while trying not to become devoured, demolished, and utterly decimated by the beast roiling in the whirling waves. To better understand exactly what is happening here, there is one singular event that needs to be understood, that needs to be explained, and that is the arrival of a creature named Dave. Stepping back from current events and going towards this creature's first appearance in the world, we begin to hear the sound of water slowly dripping across rocky ground. The cavern is utterly silent except for this one constant, its cause feeding channels downwards, sloping towards cracks in the rubble along the floor from broken stalagmites and stalactites. And there, lying on top of something which had fallen over recently, judging from its cracks, is a person, the creature named Dave. His form is fast asleep, either from the impact or from an intoxication, judging from the smell upon its breath. A bright light suffuses into it for a second, giving life towards the pale skin, before it slowly dies down back to the comfortable black of the cave that it's within. Before this moment in time, Dave did not exist in the physical world. At least, not in the reality that he finds himself born into. We do not know whether or not his existence is simply a cosmic joke, or something that is being played out on purpose. All that we do know, is that one moment, the body was not in the cave, and simply formed in the next. The actual earliest time that we know Dave exists, is the interpolation of the memories of J-209, which we'll begin looking into shortly to gain context towards the coming narrative that is being written and hastily trying to keep itself written. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Warning: This story has several things which might turn its readers away. The first is that this story has shifting points of perspective. Don't worry about that previous sentence too much though, as the main character will always have a first person perspective associated with them. However, any other character from which we're viewing the story from will either be in third-person, as we are not necessarily in their shoes at the moment, or in first person, given that the narrator is an actual physical presence within the story. For the most part, chapters will be self-contained with their perspectives, so there will not be an abundance of switching perspectives within the same chapter. The most that an average reader would have to worry about is the fact that perspectives can switch between chapters. The second thing is that the main character is a bit on the 'special' side of things. He's not exactly mentally there most of the time, so there will be some times that his personality or his thoughts do not actively align with his actions. The third, and final thing of importance, is the fact that past the first couple of chapters, nothing has been planned in advance. There are arcs and plots that I want to do, want to implement, or have already been set into motion from our main character's introduction to the world, but the method that I use for my story writing and generating leads towards a bit more random chance being enabled. Basically...there's a lot of dice rolling behind the scenes. To not complicate the story further than its regular LitRPG elements, the rolls will not be publicly available. However, there will be knowledge within the author's notes on whether or not there were positive or negative critical rolls that had occurred within the chapter. You have been warned. Updates: Mondays & Fridays (Schedule permitting) Typical Chapter Length: (2,000-3,000)
